ROSS’S POV

The moment I stepped into Xavier’s ruined house, the metallic tang of blood hit me like a punch to the gut. My eyes locked onto Roman’s body, sprawled across the floor, his chest torn open, blood still seeping into the cracks of the wooden planks. My beta—my brother in everything but blood—was gone. Just like that.

A low growl rumbled in my chest, my fists clenching so tightly that my nails dug into my palms. Roman. Not him. Not like this. The rage inside me was a living thing, clawing at my ribs, demanding release. Whoever did this… they’d pay. They’d pay in screams and blood.

“XAVIER!” My voice tore through the silence, raw and guttural, echoing off the crumbling walls. “You think this ends here? You think killing my men will stop me? I’ll rip you apart, Xavier! I’ll make you watch as I destroy everything you love. You’ll beg for death before I’m done with you!”

My boots thudded against the stairs as I stormed up, each step heavier than the last. The air was thick with th

It looks like it’s going to be a fight to the death between Xavier and Ross, or is there still going to be a twist, someone else that gets thrown into the mix?

  • My Mate's Betrayal And Rejection   001: The Confession

HANNAH’S POVI stood before the pack elders, my wrists bound in the cold grip of silver shackles. The metal bit into my skin, but the pain barely registered in my mind. My heart pounded so loudly that it drowned out the low murmur of the council members as they conferred among themselves.I could feel the weight of the other pack members' judgmental gazes pressing down on me, a suffocating force that left me struggling to breathe. The elder in charge, a stern old man with a face weathered by years of harsh decisions, finally turned his cold gaze toward me. His eyes, dark and unreadable, locked onto mine. The air in the room grew heavier as he spoke, his voice carrying the finality of a death knell."Do you confess to the crime you’ve been accused of?" he asked, his tone devoid of any emotion, as if my fate was already sealed in his mind.I swallowed hard, feeling the dryness in my throat, and nodded. "Yes," I whispered, the word barely escaping my lips. "I did it. I killed her."The r

  • My Mate's Betrayal And Rejection   002: The Price Of Loyalty

HANNAH’S POVAs soon as they took me away, I was locked up in a dark, cold cell, waiting for morning to be judged according to the pack's rules and traditions. The heavy iron door slammed shut behind me, echoing through the narrow hallway, and I was left alone with my thoughts. My heart pounded within me as if it were trying to escape my chest, and I couldn't sit still. I began pacing the length of the small cell, my feet shuffling against the rough stone floor. Every time I reached one end of the wall, I spun on my heel and hurried back to the other, trying to keep my mind occupied. But it was no use. My thoughts kept drifting back to whatever fate awaited me and Coby. I had asked him to come, begged him even, but as the minutes dragged into hours, my anxiety gnawed at me like a restless beast."Where is he?" I whispered to myself, my voice trembling. "Why isn't he here yet?"The more time passed without him making an appearance, the tighter the knot in my stomach grew. My hands star

HANNAH’S POV*Back to Present*The verdict had been delivered, and no matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t stop the tears from streaming down my face. I didn’t want to cry—not here, not now—but the sight of Cecilia, my stepmother, weeping so bitterly for me shattered any resolve I had left. Her sobs echoed through the cold courtroom, each one a painful reminder of the agony I had caused her. I could see it in her eyes, in the way her face crumpled with grief. She looked so fragile, so broken.“Oh, God,” she whispered, her voice quivering as though it might break altogether. “Where did I go wrong? I promised your father I’d take care of you.” Her words, filled with a desperate kind of sorrow, were more than I could bear.My throat tightened as I struggled to speak. “I’m so sorry, Cecilia,” I choked out, my voice barely above a whisper. “This isn’t your fault. One day, I’ll be able to tell you the truth.” I reached out, wanting to hold her hand a little longer, to somehow convey the apol

HAVANA’S POV“W-what?”I blinked, unsure if I had heard him correctly. But the cold, unfeeling stare in Coby’s eyes told me otherwise—he wasn’t joking. He had really called me a murderer. My heart sank as his words echoed in my mind. How could he say that? What had twisted his soul so deeply that he could utter such vile accusations? Was he under some kind of spell, or had he always harbored this darkness within him?I swallowed hard, my throat tightening with the effort to hold back tears. “Coby… why?” I asked, my voice trembling as I fought to maintain some semblance of composure. “Why are you saying these things to me? You promised… you promised you’d get me out. You know I’m innocent, Coby. You know it.”For a moment, the world seemed to hold its breath. Then, to my horror, Coby chuckled—a low, cold sound that sent shivers down my spine. “Naive,” he sneered, his eyes glinting with cruel amusement. “So incredibly naive and foolish. It’s almost amusing, really, how clueless you are.

  • My Mate's Betrayal And Rejection   005: A Sister's Venom

HANNAH’S POVThe cold, damp air of the cell clung to my skin like a suffocating shroud, intensifying the weight of the betrayal that had shattered my heart. Curled up in the darkest corner, I cried, the sobs ripping from my chest as though they could tear free the anguish that had rooted itself deep within me.I had tried so hard to be strong, to pull myself together and face the pain with a steely resolve, but Coby's betrayal was too much to bear. His rejection was a wound I hadn’t seen coming—a knife thrust into my back by the very person I had trusted above all others.I had loved him with every fiber of my being, sacrificing my freedom so he could become the Alpha. And now, here I was, left to rot in this cell while he ascended to power."Don’t do it; you might regret it!" Andrew’s warning echoed in my mind, the words that had seemed so unfounded now glaringly true. He must have known, must have seen through Coby’s charming facade to the cold, calculating heart beneath.Oh, how fo

  • My Mate's Betrayal And Rejection   006: Breaking Free

HANNAH’S POVWhen I finally began to regain consciousness, the first thing that registered was the sound of voices—low and urgent, as if they were trying to keep something secret. I blinked, my eyelids heavy, and let the voices guide me back to reality. One of them, more familiar than the other, struck a chord in my muddled brain. That voice... I knew that voice. With effort, I pried my eyes open, my vision swimming before it settled on two figures standing in my cell. As my gaze sharpened, the conversation ceased, and both men turned toward me. My heart skipped—Andrew was there, Coby’s beta and, at one time, my friend. But after everything, I’m not so sure anymore. The other man, older and stooped with age, was the pack’s doctor. I remembered him from a visit to the clinic when I had a stomach bug, but seeing him here, in this dark, suffocating place, made my mind whirl with confusion.Andrew’s face tightened as he saw me awake. He dropped to his knees beside me, his voice thick with

XAVIER’S POVIt was late into the night, and the house was quiet except for the sound of my footsteps as I slipped out of bed, threw on my clothes, and walked away from the room, leaving Eva behind. I had just closed the door on her—the red-haired female Lycan who had become my go-to when I needed a quick release. For me, it was always just sex, nothing more. No strings attached, no emotions to complicate things. That’s how I wanted it—just two horny Lycans fulfilling each other's needs.Eva knew the deal from the start; she knew I wasn't a man to get attached to. Yet, she kept coming back, willing and eager. Every time, I felt the same disgust churning inside me as I did now—a sour taste in the back of my throat.I clenched my jaw as I strolled down the hallway, trying to shake off the lingering feeling of revulsion crawling under my skin. My mind wandered, but I couldn’t find any solace in the empty corridors. I needed air, space, something to clear my head.As I made my way toward

I clenched my eyes shut, the memory of my escape and that Lycan’s claw squeezing at the back of my neck flashing through my mind.My hand shot up to my neck, fingers trembling as they brushed against my skin, half-expecting a jolt of pain where that brutal strike had landed. But instead of the searing agony I anticipated, there was only a dull soreness."Savage bastard," I muttered under my breath, the words tinged with anger and fear. But beneath the anger was a surprising wave of relief. I was alive. Not dead, not rotting away in some cold, dark dungeon. I exhaled a shaky breath, trying to calm the frantic beating of my heart. I needed to focus, to figure out where I was.The bed beneath me was soft—too soft—like sinking into a cloud. XAVIER’S POVI didn’t need words. The moment our eyes met, I knew this was going to be a fight to the death.I shifted instantly, my muscles ripping as my Lycan took over. His claws were bared, and he lunged at me with a snarl. I met him halfway, slamming into him with a force that shook the house. Both of us crashed hard against the stairs. The impact sent debris flying, but I didn’t care. I tore at his shoulder, my teeth sinking deep into his flesh. He retaliated, clawing at my side, but pain was irrelevant now. It was rage and survival.I felt his strength as he threw me off, crashing me into the floor, but I was back on my feet in a blink. He was strong—no doubt trained to kill—but I had a deeper drive. I had family to protect. The scarred Lycan slashed at my face, missing by an inch as I ducked. I rolled to the side, catching him off guard. My claws ripped through his abdomen, leaving a trail of blood as he roared in agony. But he wasn’t done. He spun on me, baring his teeth as h

XAVIER’S POVI stood at the edge of the pack house, my chest heaving, the metallic tang of blood thick in the air. My heart hammered against my ribs, each beat a deafening echo in my ears. The scene before me was a nightmare—bodies strewn across the yard, some motionless, others writhing in pain. Blood pooled beneath them, dark and glistening under the pale moonlight. My stomach twisted, bile rising in my throat. The battle had come here. It had come to them. And then I saw her.Taylor.She lay crumpled near the porch, her silver hair matted with blood, her face pale and lifeless. My breath hitched, my legs moving before my mind could catch up. I dropped to my knees beside her, my hands trembling as I cradled her head. Her skin was cold—too cold—but when my fingers pressed against her neck, I felt it: a faint, fluttering pulse. Relief surged through me. She was alive.“Taylor,” I growled, my voice rough and desperate. I shook her gently, my fingers brushing against the deep gash on he

HANNAH’S POVJackson clung to me, his small hands fisting my shirt, his face buried in my neck. His heartbeat was rapid—a frantic drum against my chest—and I held him tighter, as if I could shield him from the horror before us.The sight of Elijah lying lifeless, blood pooling around him, sent chills down my spine. I couldn’t tear my eyes away from the horrific scene.Coby stood over Elijah’s body, breathing heavily, his claws and face covered in blood. He had saved us.“Coby…” I whispered, my voice shaky. But before I could say more, he turned to me, his eyes filled with a mix of fury and concern.“We need to get you two out of here, Hannah,” he said, his voice rough but steady. “More rogues will be coming, and it’s not safe here.”I nodded numbly, my legs trembling as I stood up, still holding Jackson close. I could feel his little heart pounding against my chest, his face still buried in my neck.“Is Xavier okay?” I managed to ask, my voice barely above a whisper. Fear gnawed at me

HANNAH’S POVThe moment Elijah stepped into the doorway, flanked by his men, my breath hitched. His presence was like a storm rolling in—dark and suffocating. My eyes locked onto his, and for a split second, the world narrowed to just him: his cold, calculating gaze, the cruel curve of his lips. My chest tightened as fear and anger clawed at my throat.“Step aside, girl,” Elijah said, his voice smooth but laced with venom. “Hand over the Luna and the boy. Do that, and I promise you won’t get hurt.”Taylor didn’t move. Her stance was steady, her voice like steel. “I’m not afraid of you, Elijah. Turn around and leave, or I’ll make you regret ever coming here.”Elijah chuckled, low and mocking. “I was hoping you’d say that. Now, I get to grant your wish.”With a flick of his hand, his men lunged forward. Taylor turned to me, her eyes blazing with determination. “Go back upstairs, Luna. Take Jackson. Stay there until I clear this. Don’t come down until I say it’s safe.”I nodded, my throa

  • My Mate's Betrayal And Rejection   081: Blood, Sweat And Silence

XAVIER’S POVThe battlefield was a storm of chaos—a whirlwind of snarls, blood, and desperation from both sides. My claws tore through flesh, my fangs dripped with the metallic tang of enemy blood, and my lungs burned with every ragged breath. The rogues and Lycans came in waves, relentless, their eyes wild with a hunger that bordered on madness but Ross was nowhere in sight. I don't want to believe he was hiding behind his army because that would be the height of cowardice. These set of rogues weren’t the usual stragglers we’d faced before. No, these were something darker, something angrier. And they just. Kept. Coming in their numbers. Good thing, Andrew and his warrior knew how to handle the rest of them and they were holding them back at the western border.Kas fought beside me, his movements sharp but slowing with each kill and strike, his Lycan precision no longer as accurate as I had hoped.I could feel it in the air, in the way his strikes lacked their usual precision. Warriors from both sides were falling, their lives snuffed out like candles in a storm. My heart ached for them—for the families who would never see their loved ones again. Everyone except Elijah and Ross. They deserved whatever hell awaited them. But Xavier… Kas… Andrew… Where were they? Out there, somewhere, fighting. Leading. Protected by their men, but still in the thick of it. The thought made my stomach churn.I turned away from the window, my hands trembling. The weight of it all pressed down on me, suffocating. I couldn’t bear to see another drop of blood spilled. Not tonight.Jackson squirmed in my arms, his tiny fists clutching at my shirt. I was curled up next to Xavier, his warmth wrapping around me, our breaths falling in sync as we slept. But that peace shattered in an instant.A piercing, excruciatingly loud alarm blared through the pack house. I jolted awake, my heart hammering in my chest. This wasn’t just an attack. This was personal. The further we moved into Shadow Moon Pack’s territory, the heavier the anticipation grew. The silence between us was palpable, broken only by the occasional whisper of leaves beneath our boots. My senses were on high alert, every nerve in my body tuned to the slightest sound or movement. But everything was still. Just the way I wanted it.As we neared the outer edges of the pack’s territory, I held up a hand, signaling the others to stop. Roman and Elijah froze instantly, their eyes fixed on me, waiting for my next move. I crouched low, scanning the area.
