I woke up to the sound of screams and the scent of smoke. My eyes opened and I looked to my side to see Beau standing by the window with his fist clenched at his sides and I could feel his anger and fear wafting off of him like waves and quickly climbed out of bed and stood behind him

"They're back" he said his back to me but his eyes focused on the woods where smoke was slowly drifting into the sky and I felt Drago pace in my head wanting out and find the bastards that had set fire to Beau's territory and shred them to pieces.

"They won't hurt this pack again, I promise you, Beau"I murmured pulling him against me and he nodded before turning around in my arms and looking up at me with eyes filled with so many emotions that it pierced me to the bone and I lifted my hand and cupped his cheek before leaning down presos four foreheads together, "I won't let what happened five years ago happen again."
