Demetria's dreams had become her only solace.

She'd never been the person to have vivid dreams and remember them, but recently she prayed for an escape. Maybe by some chance, she'd find a way out through her mind.

Her magic didn't seem to work in her dreams, but maybe one day Ike would slip up, and she'd be able to make a run for it. One could hope.

She fell asleep, waiting for Dom to show up and save her. It wasn't as if she planned to sneak out of her room and search for him. It didn't seem like a good idea, especially since Jack seemed to be intent on destroying her sooner rather than later, and could easily wake up.

She'd wait-as if she had another choice.

The dream pulled her from reality and into a beautiful autumn day. It was her favorite time of the year. The cool breeze, and the colorful leaves, all made her feel like a kid at Christmas again.
