Blake's POV
Noah blinked his big eyes and quickly walked down. Patricia immediately put him on her lap, pinched his face, and then pinched his arms. "Noah, you're so thin. Don't you like eating?" Noah immediately shook his head and said, "Patricia, I'm not thin at all. I don't want to become chubby. That way, no girls will like me!" Patricia was instantly amused by Noah. She pointed to me and said, "See? Noah is the younger version of you. He already knows that he has to be a ladies' man at such a young age!" I didn't remember saying such naive things when I was a kid at all. "I called Leo. Maybe he'll be here later." I said. "Really?" Patricia was excited. "I haven't seen him for quite a long time." Emerson pulled a long face. "He doesn't have to be here if he doesn't want to. No one is begging him to come here." Patricia looked at Emerson a little crossly and said, "It's all your fault. Why did you quarrel with him back theBlake's POV A few minutes later, I came to the study wearing a gray nightgown. "What is it?" I swept my gaze over her body and saw that her skin was as fair as the nightgown she was wearing. My heart throbbed. I involuntarily walked over to her side and sat down. I wrapped my arms around her and pulled her petite body into my embrace. Catherine said, "I found some clues about my parents, but now it seems to be a dead end. I want you to help me." "Sure!" I would not refuse any of her requests. Catherine looked at me with gratitude, and I could not help but kiss her lips. Catherine's tense body slowly softened. I let go of her in time. Looking at her blushing face, I reached out and pinched it. "What have you got?" Catherine quickly took out her phone and showed me some photos. "I found an exhibit in the royal gallery that seemed to be a couple with my necklace. I asked the curator, and he said that someone deposited it there.
Blake's POV "Are you curious?" I took another puff and sneered. "Not at all!" Henry's expression was very interesting. I could tell that he was indeed very curious. I was amused by his expression, and then the atmosphere relaxed a little. "I know him." Henry quickly nodded. "Really? How?" My voice was as cold as ice. "He is old. If your investigation is right, he is Catherine's grandfather." "What? How is that possible?" Henry was stunned. I stood up from my black office chair, and my voice was a little irritated. I said, "So, Catherine is the lost daughter of the Fox family." "It seems that I met her when I was a kid, and I even kissed her cheek before." I was lost in my memories, and there was a hint of mockery and sadness in my tone. When I was young, the Fox family had twins. They were extremely cute and made countless people envious. The girl was particularly pretty. Her eyes were like crystals, delicate an
Blake's POV When I got off work in the afternoon, I called Catherine and asked her out for dinner tonight. There would be no kids. It would be just me and her. Catherine agreed. I went to her company in my car, picked her up, and we went in the direction of the restaurant. Sitting in the car, I looked out the window, as if I had forgotten that she was also in the car. Catherine took the initiative to come to my side and asked, "What's on your mind?" I turned my head around. Her eyes flickered as lights and shadows flashed across them. Looking at her eyes, I felt that my mind was a mess. "Nothing!" I got annoyed for no reason. At the sight of her charming eyes, I recalled the fact that she was the daughter of the Fox family that I had kissed when I was a child. I could not calm myself down. Catherine had always been sensitive, and she seemed to have sensed something, so she simply sat up straight and stopped disturbing me.
Blake's POV After dinner, Catherine and I left the restaurant. I held her hand and suggested, "Let's not go home yet. It's still early anyway. Let's go shopping." "Shopping for what? We are not buying anything!" Catherine said in surprise. "I want to buy something for you. What do you want?" I held her hand tightly. I looked at her and smiled. Catherine shook her head. "I don't want anything." "I'm sure you do. Think again!" I knew Catherine said that, since she did not want to spend my money. But today, I wanted to spend money on her, because only by giving her something she liked would I feel less guilty. "Then let's go check out the kids' clothes. I like to buy things for them." Catherine had the most primitive nature of women. Ever since she had kids, every time she passed by the stores selling children's clothes, she always wanted to go in and touch the clothes, whether she bought them or not. "I want to buy you something. We'll buy things for the kids next time
Blake's POV Patricia immediately looked sad and said, "You never talked to me like that before. I know it. You don't love me anymore. I am not the most important woman to you now!" "Patricia, what are you talking about?" I hurried over and hugged her. "Cathy is our family. I hope you can get along well." "I am an elder, and she should respect me. Shouldn't she?" Patricia still felt aggrieved. I sighed helplessly. "Here's the thing. I should respect you, because I'm your grandson. But she has not married me yet. You two should respect each other." Patricia immediately said with dissatisfaction, "Why hasn't she married you yet?" Hearing that, I asked with a smile, "Grandma, are you saying that I can marry her?" Patricia looked a little embarrassed. She sighed and said, "I didn't agree before, but I like the two kids very much. You and Leo didn't have a mother when you grew up. It's a regret that will accompany your whole life. I always feel guilty. I've done some thinking
Blake's POV Catherine blushed slightly at my words. She said, "I want to be here for a while longer." "Then I'll be here with you," I said. Catherine shook her head and said, "I'm done. You should head out. I need to change." "What if I don't want to go out?" I said cheekily. Catherine frowned. Then she ignored me and stood up straight. After she took off her wet clothes with her back to me, she reached out to take the white bathrobe next to her and wrapped her warm body. Then she turned around and said, "I'm going to sleep. Take your time." I was stunned for a long time. Why did I feel that I had been eased? When I left the bathroom, I paused and subconsciously walked to another guest room. I pushed open the door and saw Catherine, who was already asleep with a quilt in her arms. She had already taken the medicine placed on the table. I was still worried. I walked to the side of the bed and bent down. I reached out and placed my hand on her still-hot forehead.
Catherine's POV Blake and I went to the doctor. The doctor needed to take my temperature before making a diagnosis. I leaned on the bed and watched the nurse take the thermometer, shake it, and put it in my mouth. Blake stood aside and watched. The nurse was experienced. But when I felt the thermometer, the coldness made me tremble a bit. Seeing that, Blake frowned. His face went sullen, which made the nurse terrified. After a few minutes, the doctor told Blake and me that I had caught a cold. He asked us to stay here while he prescribed something for me. Then he left together with the nurse. I turned to look at Blake. "I'm fine here. Go to work. I'll take a taxi back later." "I'll skip the morning. I'll stay with you!" Blake took a chair and sat down. I was surprised. He had a lot on his plate, yet he was willing to spend all morning with me. I was very touched. "Will your work be affected?" I did not in
Third person's POV Catherine stood at the door of the lakeside villa. Watching Patricia's car leave, she suddenly felt more relaxed than she had ever felt before. She felt that happiness had come to her. Everything in life was perfect. She would hold all of these tightly and never let go. On the contrary, Gina, who was in prison, was exceptionally miserable. As a former female star, Gina was locked up in Sayreville's prison, and her days were gone. She was wearing plain clothes. Her hair was disheveled, and her face without makeup was utterly pale. Even her eyes, which she was proud of, were dim at this moment, as if she had been teased by fate thousands of times. Gina's prison life actually wasn't that bad. After all, she had her fair share of glory, and she was smarter than ordinary people. The women Gina was in the same cell with were hooligans. They used to worship her, and they were very excited to be locked in the same cell as
Third Person's POVWhen Richard saw that Blake didn't want to bring up the past, he was slightly surprised. He had expected Blake to revisit old grievances and hold him accountable.Emerson, with a look of relief, praised Blake. "Blake, you have a generous heart. Let's not dwell on the past anymore. You are uncle and nephew, and you should support each other, not harbor resentment."Blake, mindful of Emerson's feelings, nodded. "We are family, and we shouldn't treat each other like enemies."Richard, however, felt uneasy. He realized that he was increasingly becoming an outsider in the Royal Pack. The affection and importance that Emerson and Patricia placed on Blake far surpassed what they had for him, their own son.He suspected that even his own son, Nick, might feel that he had lost his place in his grandparents' hearts."Richard, you and Emerson haven't seen each other in so long. You must have a lot to talk about. I'll leave you to it,
Third Person's POVCatherine thought for a moment and replied, "It's like the handsome guys you see in cartoons.""Okay! Can you draw it for me now, Mommy?" Hedwig was a girl of action. Once she got an idea, she had to see it through. It was unclear who she had inherited this trait from.Catherine picked up a blank sheet of paper and a pencil, glancing helplessly at the man beside her, who was smirking. He really knew how to give her extra work.Blake leaned down, his lips brushing her ear as he whispered, "Are you really going to draw me?""Mm-hmm, I'll draw a picture of you taking a shower," Catherine said, her smile tinged with mischief.Blake knew she was teasing him. He raised an eyebrow slightly. "Sure, but if you forget how I look, I can give you a live demonstration tonight."Catherine's face flushed instantly. She glared at him, her eyes narrowing.Meanwhile, Noah, who was practicing his writing nearby, overheard their
Third Person's POV"You and Noah came from my belly, not from a box.""Oh, then who put us in your belly? Was it the 'heaven' you mentioned earlier?" Hedwig asked, her big eyes wide with curiosity.Catherine was genuinely stumped this time. She touched her chin, pretending to think deeply. "Uh, well... you'll understand when you grow up. It's not something we can talk about now."She couldn't possibly say that Blake had "put them there." If she did, Hedwig's next question would undoubtedly be, "How did Daddy put us in your belly?" Catherine's head was already spinning at the thought.Patricia walked in carrying a plate of fruit. When she saw Hedwig's paint-smeared face, she burst out laughing. "Oh my, when did we get a little calico cat in the house?""Great-grandma, where's the cat? Can I see it?" Hedwig asked, her face lighting up at the mention of a cat."The little calico cat is you! Look at your face—it's covered in paint!"
Third Person's POVBlake sneered, his voice laced with sarcasm. "Do you really think someone who could kill his own brother has any conscience left? He's always resented Grandpa for favoring Dad. If he finds out about Grandpa's condition, the first thing he'll do is fight for Grandpa's shares."Leo's expression darkened. He realized he had been naive to think Richard might have a change of heart."Blake, then we absolutely can't let him know about Grandpa's condition. If he finds out, he won't care about Grandpa's life at all!" Leo said, his voice filled with anger."He's arriving tonight. Do you want to come and see him?" Blake asked coldly.Leo shook his head. "I don't want to see him. I'm afraid I might lose control and kill him.""You need to stay calm. He's a dog, but you're not. You don't bite randomly," Blake said, lecturing Leo.Leo knew he wouldn't actually kill anyone, but his temper was fiery. If he saw Richard, he might no
Third Person's POV"I found out not long ago. Before that, I also asked the doctor about Grandpa's condition every day, and he always told me Grandpa was doing well," Blake explained, his voice strained with grief."That quack! How dare he lie to us? Does he think we're fools? He should be ashamed of himself!" Leo shouted, his anger boiling over."Yelling at him won't help. Grandpa and Grandma made this decision together," Blake said calmly."Grandpa is so stubborn. How could he keep something like this from us? Does he want us to feel guilty for the rest of our lives?" Leo's anger shifted to his grandfather."Grandpa just doesn't want us to grieve for him. I think any parent would want to spare their children that pain," Blake said.Leo realized there was no one left to blame. He sighed, his eyes filled with despair. "Then what can we do now? Blake, tell me."Blake looked at him steadily, then sighed. "At least, while Grandpa is stil
Third Person's POVSunny had obtained Olivia's recording, yet she hadn't handed it over to him immediately. She was still protecting Olivia. It seemed that in the face of love and family bonds, there was still a distinction in importance.Clearly, her feelings for him were far less significant than the familial ties she had with Olivia.Or perhaps, there was no comparison to be made at all.Leo's heart was like a chaotic storm, agitated and bewildered, searching for a reason to calm down.Upon reaching the base of the Imperial Building, Leo strode straight in and marched towards Blake's private elevator. As the second son of the Royal Pack, Leo had never concealed his identity. Thus, as he strode through the lobby, he attracted only envious glances from women.Even though Leo's expression was cold, his fervent female fans still pursued him relentlessly.Perhaps it was Leo's taut expression, coupled with the band-aids on his fac
Third Person's POVSunny let out a bitter laugh. "You really think too highly of me. Actually, I've already broken up with him, and I don't plan to be a star anymore. You can go back now.""Sunny, aren't you really considering your future? You're already famous now. Once you become well-known, it's hard to go back to your simple life. No matter where you go, people will pay attention to you. Instead of being ridiculed, why not hold your head high and be your own queen? You have the potential. You're very beautiful!" Melissa kept persuading her.Sunny's mind went blank. Where was her future? She really hadn't thought about it at all.She used to simply want to earn more money to improve her quality of life, travel when she had time, and treat herself to delicious food for her hard work. But now? She didn't dare to think about anything."A single romance has beaten you down like this. You don't seem like the Sunny I know. You used to be so brave and
Third Person's POVAt that moment, Sunny's smile had vanished, as if she had been abandoned by the entire world. The hurt and grievance she had suffered were evident to Moira. The words Leo had spoken in front of the camera were truly devastating.Once, their love had been passionate and fearless, disregarding the opinions and evaluations of others. Now, the abandonment was decisive and ruthless, without any mercy. For a young girl who had not experienced major setbacks, being suddenly forced to break up was something no one could accept."I'll be fine." Sunny whispered."Why don't you move back home? I'll only feel relieved if I can see you," Moira suggested.Sunny shook her head quickly, "No, I won't move back!"Upon hearing this, Moira immediately said, "Is it still about what your stepfather mentioned last time? Don't worry, if he dares to marry you off to someone else, I'll divorce him."Sunny shuddered at the thought of the cond
Emily's face turned pale with fear, and she managed to suppress her curiosity. However, the thought that Blake's father might have been killed by Richard made her realize that everything was far more serious than she had imagined. This was a fight to the death, a gamble with lives at stake, even though there were no visible signs of battle.Emily was filled with regret. She had initially come up with the bad idea to impress and prove herself, but now it felt like she had dropped a stone on her own foot.Sunny had been in a daze at home for almost two days, not eating anything except for a few sips of water. If it weren't for Moira showing up with a bag full of food and snacks, she might have starved herself to death."Look at you! Hiding in the corner, living in a daze. This isn't like my daughter at all," Moira exclaimed as she entered the dimly lit room and quickly pulled open the curtains, letting the bright light stream in.Sunny instinc
