  Catherine's POV

It needed all my courage to stop Blake, the Lycan King.

However, my courage instantly disappeared as he fixed his sharp eyes on me.

I didn't know how to stop him from going to see Noah and Hedwig.

While I was figuring out a plan, Blake suddenly looked down and lowered his thin lips to my face.

"Is that enough?" His voice was low and attractive, yet his tone was arrogant.

I was shocked. Blake looked at me with a smile and teased, "Still not enough? Or shall I kiss you on another place?"

As he spoke, his eyes wandered toward my chest.

Noticing his gaze, I flushed with anger.

I had thought that he would get someone to throw me out or push me away, but he actually kissed me.

'Bastard! How dare he kiss me without my permission!'

"You deserve it, bastard!" I slapped Blake without hesitation.

His face immediately clouded over with anger, and his eyes were blazing with fury.

"Get out of my way!" Blake seemed to have lost patience.

  Then he released

  • My Mate Has Two Wolves   Chapter 14

Blake's POV I picked up Noah and Hedwig from the shabby kindergarten for humans. They were the kids of a Lycan, so how could they study in such an ordinary place? Right now, they were in my villa in Sayreville, sitting on the sofa in the living room. They were blinking their big eyes and sizing me up. "Noah, this man said he was our daddy." Hedwig, who looked like a lovely elf, whispered into Noah's ear. She thought I couldn't hear her. What a cute girl! Although Noah was a little boy, he wasn't weak. He remained calm with his arms crossed over his chest, while Hedwig looked a little nervous. His beautiful and sharp eyes were appraising me. He was so like the Chavezes. I was overjoyed seeing the two adorable kids, but I had to restrain my excitement in case they would be frightened by me. "You said that you are our daddy. Do you have any evidence? We aren't babies and won't be fooled easily," Noah said like an adult, which surprised me. "Noah, don't you think w

Blake's POV 'Oh my god! They're driving me crazy. Why can't they see sense? They just couldn't understand what I meant.' "Hedwig, stop it. No matter what we say, he won't admit that Mommy is his mate. He thinks that Mommy isn't good enough and doesn't want Mommy to be his mate," said Noah. "Alright... Forget it. It's enough for us to love Mommy." Hedwig lowered her head and looked depressed. I saw there was sadness in Hedwig's eyes. 'Damn it! How would things end up like this?' "Hedwig, you have to believe in Daddy. Your mommy will definitely be my mate." To cheer my daughter up, I even lied that I would love that damned woman. "Really?" Hedwig immediately widened her eyes and smiled. I nodded and said, "Of course, I promise you." Hedwig beamed a smile and turned to look at Noah. She said happily, "Noah, we finally got Mommy a mate." Noah looked dissatisfied. "Well, I don't know that. If he is bad to Mommy, Mommy will be miserable." Hearing this, Hedwig imm

Catherine's POV I was simply stunned by this thick-skinned man. He told such a bad lie just to refute me! Other than that night five years ago, I didn't say a single word to him at all. How could that count as "know each other"? "Noah, I'll ask the butler to take you to my storeroom for fun?" Blake lowered his head and said to Noah gently. Noah jumped down from the sofa and looked at Blake. He said with a warning tone, "Daddy, you promised me and Hedwig that you won't bully mommy." Blake wore a gentle smile on his face. "Noah, Daddy will just be chatting with your mommy. I won't do anything bad to her." "Noah, don't go anywhere else. You'd better come with me. Let's look for Hedwig together." I hurriedly said to Noah, not wanting to face Blake alone. "Mommy, don't worry. You haven't seen Daddy for so long. You must have a lot to say to him." Then the butler held Noah's hand and took him away. "Hey, you brat!" I couldn't help but shout at his back as I watched Noa

Catherine's POV "Catherine, did you send Noah and Hedwig to kindergarten? Why haven't you come back?" It was Mabel on the phone. To reassure her, I quickly explained, "Yeah, the kids are at kindergarten now. And... They are doing great. I'm going to the market for some shopping and will be back soon. Is anything wrong?" "No, I just want to tell you that Cedrick is back." Mabel sounded relaxed and cheerful. "Cedrick?" I felt a little familiar with the name. "My eldest son. You met him when you were young. Oh, I forgot that you were still a baby at that time." Mabel laughed heartily. Then she continued, "Anyway, you can know each other after you come back." "Okay, I will be back as soon as possible." After hanging up the phone, I looked at Blake again and saw a strange look on his face. He seemed to be mad at something. Yet I was in no mood to guess his feelings. I demanded again, "Hurry to give my kids back to me. I got something to do tonight and have no time to wast

  • My Mate Has Two Wolves   Chapter 18

Catherine's POV Perhaps what I had said got on Blake's nerves, and he instantly shot me a cold glance. His voice was icy. "I don't owe anyone an explanation." "Really? You look like you're talking big," I said in disbelief. "Listen, Catherine. If you still want to see the kids, you'd better be reserved," Blake warned. I sneered in my heart. The kids were the only thing that he could use to threaten me. "The children are mine. They only belong to me. Don't you dare take them away from me!" I didn't know how many times I had said this to Blake today. But even so, I still felt that this bastard didn't take it seriously. Blake snorted in disdain and turned around to walk forward with his long legs. As I got no response from him, I flew into a rage and caught up with him. I reached out to stop him and said, "Blake, listen to me carefully. I brought the kids up. Other than me, they won't get close to any strangers, even if you are the King. You'd better stop trying."

  • My Mate Has Two Wolves   Chapter 19

Catherine's POV As Blake walked over, I hurriedly chased after him and ran towards my daughter. Hedwig was walking in bare feet with a violet garland in her hand and smiling brightly, just like an angel. "Mommy..." Hedwig, who was having a good time, beamed at me and ran over when she saw me. Blake involuntarily slowed his stride as Hedwig called out to me and trotted toward me. I glanced at him and was delighted to see the disappointment on his face. Blake did overplay his hand. How would he be more important than me in Hedwig's heart? When Hedwig got something good, she would definitely first show it to me, her favorite person. "Slow down..." I was worried that Hedwig would fall as I watched her rush over with her short legs. As expected, I was right about my daughter. Hedwig overestimated herself and fell to the sand as she was running. The butler was trying his best to save her, but he was too late. "Hedwig..." Blake dashed forward again as he saw Hedwig fall

  • My Mate Has Two Wolves   Chapter 20

Blake's POV Catherine was staring at Hedwig, who twined her chubby arms tightly around my neck and pressed her little face on my shoulder. I felt warmth filling my heart. My mood became even better when I saw how upset Catherine was. Catherine suddenly turned around and walked towards the door. I looked at that stubborn woman and couldn't help gloating. Hedwig, who was leaning against my shoulder, suddenly raised her head and straightened her back when she heard Catherine going away. Hedwig immediately cried. "Mommy, where are you going?" "I... I'm going out for a walk!" Catherine didn't look back, but I could tell she was trying to hold back some emotion. "Are you leaving? Mommy, I'll go with you." Hedwig suddenly sounded meek. She seemed to be afraid that Catherine would leave without her. Hedwig had said sweetly that she would stay and taste the Disco Fries I prepared. But now, she was very eager to be with Catherine. I just got the chance to enjoy the sweet t

  • My Mate Has Two Wolves   Chapter 21

Catherine's POV "I... I didn't. I was unconscious that day. How could I seduce you? If I were awake, I would have killed you." I was even angrier when I heard what Blake said. He was saying that I was the one who seduced him that day? I immediately squatted down, grabbed a handful of sand from the ground, and threw it toward him. However, I stood too far away from him, so the sand did not land on his body, which made me feel even more frustrated. "I don't believe you," Blake said loftily with his arms crossed in front of his chest. Judging by his facial expression, I could tell that he was doubtful about everything I said. But I didn't want to argue with him anymore. He was just a cocky bastard. I just fell down, so my body was covered with sand. And then I had a quarrel with him. Now I was a little tired. Blake left after saying that, leaving me alone by the lake. I sat by the lake for a long time in a daze. I was troubled by the fact that Blake would take my childr

"Wow, Mom, you have so many photos of Dad here! And there's one where he's not wearing any clothes!" the little girl exclaimed in surprise as she flipped through the album.Hearing the words "not wearing any clothes," the coffee Blake was sipping nearly sprayed out.He quickly leaned over to check the photo and was somewhat relieved to see it was just a picture of him sleeping in bed.Catherine was already mortified. Truth be told, she had indeed taken quite a few sneaky photos of Blake, but these were meant for her private enjoyment.Blake looked at Catherine with a meaningful smile, making her face flush."Why do you even take photos of me sleeping? Are you really that fond of taking my pictures?" he teased.Catherine quickly snatched the phone away, turned it off, and stammered, "No, I only took a few. Speaking of which, the food hasn't arrived yet. I'm getting hungry."Blake knew she was deliberately changing the subject, and his

This was the most suitable diamond he could find, and it hadn't been easy. The designer beside him wore an awkward expression. Proud of his one-of-a-kind designs, he now stood shamefaced.Blake, considerate of the designer's pride, asked him to leave."Mom, this diamond is small and doesn't sparkle much. Where did Dad get it from?"The little one, too young to appreciate such things, compared it to her daily toys with large rhinestones, thinking her mom's diamond couldn't possibly be smaller. But now, seeing it, she realized it was indeed much smaller.Noah, however, remarked, "Can you compare real and fake ones?""What's real and fake?" Hedwig asked with wide, curious eyes.Catherine patiently explained, "Hedwig, the size of a diamond doesn't mean anything. Your dad's thoughtfulness is what matters. I think this ring is beautiful, and I love it.""Your happiness is all that counts. It's a gift for you!" Hedwig said with

Third Person's POVAbigail had clearly told her earlier that the twins were fast asleep."Hedwig, Daddy's not bullying Mommy. Actually, uh, Mommy got sand in her eye, and Daddy's blowing it out," Blake said, remarkably composed as he fabricated an excuse on the spot."Really? Mommy, how did you get sand in your eye? Is it serious?" Hedwig asked, her face etched with worry.Catherine's cheeks flushed as she quickly rubbed her eye. "I was standing by the window and the wind blew sand in. Hedwig, why are you and your brother up? Did you trick Granny?"Hedwig giggled. "We wanted to see Daddy, so we pretended to sleep!""You shouldn't do that. Granny would be so sad if she knew," Catherine said, her face stern as she gently reprimanded the children."Next time, remember to knock before entering, understand?" Blake said sternly to his son.Noah pouted. "Got it, I'll knock next time so you two can prepare.""Come on, Hedwig, le

Richard's voice came through, "Emily, are you still angry with me?""Why did you do this? Am I not your daughter?" Her voice still trembled."Of course you are. I have always treated you as my own. I'm in trouble, and you'll help me through it, right? You've always been a good girl," Richard's tone dripped with feigned warmth."Yes, I will," Emily replied, her voice hollow, her heart now a cold, determined void. The naive, dependent stepdaughter was gone—hatred and clarity had taken root, and she knew her retaliation was about to begin.Blake and Catherine's wedding invitations had been sent out, met with numerous blessings.Abigail and Patricia helped Catherine choose several dresses, including a nearly ten-million-dollar pure white wedding gown embedded with thou

Third Person's POVAs night fell, Emily simply dressed and headed to the restaurant designated by Richard. It was a self-operated restaurant in a seven-star hotel. Though reluctant, she didn't dare to defy Richard. On the way, she pictured the man as a cynical playboy. Enduring a meal with him would be tolerable. After all, she despised heartless rich men, none of whom compared to Blake in her eyes.Pushing open the restaurant door, all her assumptions crumbled—a middle-aged man sat there, slightly overweight, balding, with yellowed, decayed teeth from years of smoking.Emily froze. What was Richard thinking?"Miss Chavez? You're even prettier in person!" The man grinned, his yellow teeth making Emily almost gag."Are you Mr. Waleri?" Before coming, she'd researched him—an ex-politician turned businessman with decent success, but his family's complex and scandalous relations were well-known.Baldwin shrugged. "That'

With that, he left with a swagger.Sunny grasped Leo's tense fist. "Don't let people like him get to you."Leo let out a self-mocking chuckle. "I'm clearly not as good at judging people as Blake. He's surrounded by loyal people, while I...""Don't think like that," Sunny whispered soothingly. "Samuel's inherently insincere and good at pretense. It's normal not to see through him.""There must be someone backing him," Leo said, his expression weary. "Otherwise, he wouldn't dare betray me knowing my brother is Blake."A sudden chill ran down his spine—relying on Blake's protection in the past, he now felt as if he'd fallen into an abyss, sensing a more complex force manipulating behind the crisis.Could it be Richard and Nick? But Blake didn't take them serio

"Hedwig, something's come up at the company. I have to go!"Watching his mother patiently guide Hedwig, Leo daydreamed—if he ever had a daughter, he'd definitely leave her in Abigail's care. "Haven't you called to check in?""No, Leo's not one for sharing personal stuff," Abigail said with a light laugh.Patricia frowned, then leaned in suddenly. "You've met Olivia, right? Don't you think Sunny resembles her a bit?"Abigail stiffened, recalling the resemblance but not daring to dwell on it—could the world really be that coincidental?"Probably no connection," she said with a frown."True, there are plenty of people with the same surname," Patricia agreed, though she noticed the flicker of doubt in Abigail's eyes. Two children bounced into the room, Hedwig holding up a pale purple flower.
