NADIA'S POV
I followed Sophia, as we walked closer to what seemed like a club. You'd wonder why I keenly followed a stranger, that's because I didn't care anymore, the sting of their betrayal left me completely shattered and I was numb to care about whatever would happen to me. THE SEDUCTION SUITE, that's the name of the club, as it was highlighted boldly in bright neon lights. As we stepped inside, the loud sound of blaring music, the thick air with intoxicating scents of perfumes, drinks and sex, flooded my head. The gleaming bar, stretched like a ribbon, lined with stools that shined in the light, rows of bottles arranged like Jewelries, and the bartender focused on mixing drink with flourish. My gaze darted to the VIP area, the atmosphere was electric, a heavy mix of glamour, sophistication and raw energy. There were people there, but their faces was blurred with larges flakes of smoke, which oozed from their lips. I had a feeling, that they were people not to be trifled with. Everything right in here enveloped me, giving me a fleeting escape from my troubles, but I knew it was just for tonight. We finally settled on one of the stools, Sophia eyeing the environment, like she was searching for someone, or should I say, not wanting to be seen by someone. I shrugged, not bothering to think about it. “Two bottles of Vodka,” Sophia said to the bartender who walked up to us. She gave me a glance, as if wanting to know if I was okay with what she ordered. I mentally rolled my eyes, as how polite she was, wanting to know if I'm okay after she already ordered. It was her money anyway, cos I have none with me. It wasn't long before the bartender arrived with the drinks and shots, which he placed on our table, our eyes met and he gave me a seductive wink before walking away. Sophia looked around again, this time carefully before she faced me and began. Already I've gulped down one shot, ignoring the sharp and burning sensation I felt in my throat. “Did your adoptive parents tell you why you were adopted?” Sophia asked, looking intently at me, although the lights were dim And I couldn't see her face properly, she was beautiful, but that was from a close view. A long and ugly scar was marred across her face, making her look less beautiful. Her voice which seemed to be soft, yet devoid of any emotions, asked me again, when she didn't get an answer from me. I flinched, and looked away from her as I shook my head. “Good then, I'll tell you and help you to be save, more people will come for you, once you're exposed to the city.” I frowned, “More people?” “Yes,” she nodded, and gulped down another shot. I did the same, trying to understand what she meant. “Why would more people come after me?” She chuckled dryly, “Hold on-” she said, and slowly took out what seemed like a paper from her pant pocket. It was a picture, a man, he looked to be in his middle age, why do we have the same features? No, I am a spitting image of him. “Who's this?” I asked, utterly confused. “Emperor Azura.” she said, an emotion I couldn't fathom flashed in her eye, she shook her head, and her eyes was back to the normal aloof and dull look. She glanced at me, as If contemplating to say something or not, she finally did. “He's the Patriarch of the Azura's underworld activities.” “Underworld?!” I blurted out. Dose this still exist? Stories I've heard about the underground activities isn't close to nice, they are dangerous and cruel. I quickly poured myself another shot and gulped it down. She immediately looked around ourselves again, to make sure no one was hearing us, She looked at me again and I swear, I felt a sudden wave of adrenaline cursing through me. She seemed to notice and smiled sweetly, the scar on her face making it look devious and evil like. “I mean no harm to you, if not, I would have hurt you before now” she said, putting back the picture into her pocket. She might be right, I poured another drink and gulped it down, the drink seeme to have a small effect on me, as I felt the place spin for a while, but stopped immediately. Sophia continued, “I'm sure you noticed the striking resemblance between you and the emperor, that's quite good, but extremely dangerous for you, especially if you're seen by the emperor's enemies.” I swallowed hard, my mind racing wildly as her words sank into me, oh my God, she isn't done talking. “Emperor Azura died, leaving no clue about his death or what killed him, even the ring which his successor will have is nowhere to be found. He died, along with his wife and child, that's what everyone believes, but your appearance is hinting at something else.” she glanced down, not moving or ready to say another word, I was dieing with anxiousness and curiosity, my fear was escalating. I slowly turned around to observe the area, feeling like I was being watched, that's when our gaze met, he was in the VIP area, his face blurred with smoke, but his gaze was cold, dark and piercing, sending chills down my body. I quickly averted his gaze and focused on my table, I can still feel his gaze on me, it's was too piercing as if wanting to pry into my soul. My hands were now shaking, so was mine feet, my mind racing wildly. Is he one of the emperor's enemy? Does he want me dead? ‘No, he won't dare to do anything to me in here’ I partially assured myself, gulping down another shot of Vodka, this time, I gulped down two shots at a go. “I need to leave.” Sophia suddenly said, her head still lowered. “Why? We're not done yet, and what about me? Y.. you said you'll help me-” I said, my lips quivering as i found myself stuttering amidst my words. “There might be an enemy of the emperor here, they might do something to me.” I said, looking at the direction I saw the man earlier, but he wasn't there, he was gone. I swallowed, trying to calm my panicking and fear stricken mind, that's close to impossible. Sophia gave me an apologetic look, and smiled, “How can I leave you? I need to use the restroom, I'll be back. If you don't believe me, hold this.” She said, giving me a pendant, which was carved into a dragon, the tiny stones on it, shimmering under light. This might be expensive, with that i nodded and she left. I emptied my bottle of Vodka, and yet Sophia hasn't arrived, i was tipsy now, “Did she really leave me?” I mumbled in my half drunken state, my heart stinging with pain, as I remembered Logan and my adoptive family, how they betrayed me, I sighed cursing my existence. I slowly reached for her bottle which was across me, I gulped down each shot, still waiting for her, but she never returned till I was wasted, useless to even move my own body. I felt the whole place spinning, as my vision got blurred. I couldn't see a thing, so I slumped, resting my head on the desk, still hoping Sophia would arrive. My little extravagant wish. “Hey sweetie, what are you doing here?” A male croacky voice came, I felt a slight tap on my shoulder, as the stranger's retching cologne wafted into my nose. I was silent, unsure of what was happening around me. “Come with me,” he said, trying to lift me up. I couldn't fight against him, as my whole body was numb and useless.NADIA'S POVThe man brought me into a dimly lit room, making it impossible for me to know where I was. He placed me on a bed, his fingers tracing the lines of my face.“Such a cutie.” He moaned, leaning to sniffle my neck, I instinctively shook him off me, awareness shooting through me, as I tried to be clear headed, but still felt dizzy and weak to my knees. He seemed to frown for a while, which was quickly replaced with a chuckle, “I like that you're playing hard to get, it will make this night longer.” He said, getting up to unbutton his shirt. My throat was so dry that I had to cough, drawing his attention, “My sweetheart needs water,” he smiled, and went to get a glass of water. I looked around the room, it was so dark that I couldn't find anything I could use to defend myself. Like I could defend myself in this state, I screamed internally, wishing I didn't come here with Sophia. It wasn't long before he returned with a glass of water, which I gulped down quickly, purposely drop
NADIA’S POVI slowly opened my eyes, which I closed back almost immediately, grogginess slowly fading, I felt my body was being carried by strong arms. I was too lazy to open my eyes again, at least I didn't get beaten or slapped again, which meant I was saved. After a while, I felt an itching sensation, my temperature rising more than normal as my body became hotter, I'm sure he noticed, I saw his knitted expression through my half closed eyes.He took out his phone and made a call, which I didn't quite understand. He walked faster after he ended the call, entered into a room and laid me on the bed. His scent wafted into my nose, he had a refreshing smell I liked, one that was full of manliness. He retracted his hand and was about to leave, but I stopped him, pulling him back as I coiled my hands around his neck. I didn't know what had come over me, and I didn't feel like myself, I felt hot, and itchy and needed him to be closer and touch me.I slightly opened my eyes and looked at h
NADIA'S POVIn a presidential suite, the dark brown curtains were drawn lightly, limited light seeped into the room, making it hard to see the faint rays of sunlight. My pounding head spins as I look around my surroundings, and I instantly regret drinking so much.Panic curses through me, as I can't immediately recognize where I was. I can tell I'm in a room, but who's room? The last thing I remembered was Sophia bringing me to a club and leaving midway our conversation.I groan, rubbing my eyes and hoping I'm seeing things properly– the alcohol burning in my system is still making me confused. I tried to roll over, suddenly I became aware of the heavy arm draped around my waist. My head quickly whipped to the side and I prayed that the heavy hand belonged to Sophia, maybe she came back for me and brought me to a room. But my worst fears were realized, and I brought my palm to my lips, trying to contain the scream of horror, when I found a naked man lying beside me. He's not just a n
LUCIANO'S POVI woke up to find the girl from last night gone, only for her to replace her waist with my pillow, how childish. I at least expected her escape, so I'm not really surprised. I got up and went to the wardrobe to grab my clothes, wash and change into them.My gaze darted to the bed, lingering on the faded blood mark on the bed, making my memory drift to last night. Like every other night, I came to Seduction Suite, but tonight I decided to stay in the club and not a room, especially after Jeff, my right hand man, told me it was filled, and I won't be noticed easily.I was immersed in my whiskey and weed, when my gaze suddenly trailed to the club’s entrance and saw her walked in with a woman who I assumed to be her friend, their faces wasn't quite vivid under the dim light, but she looked familiar and that got my attention, especially dressed in a dirty wedding gown.Suddenly she got missed in the crowd, and I couldn't see her again. My eyes secretly roamed the entire pla
NADIA'S POV My head hurts, I feel really uncomfortable, I wince, and slowly open my eyes. I tried to reach for my head to massage it, then realized my hands were tied. My consciousness hit and I opened my eyes widely, trying to sit up very well. “She's awake.” His cold voice echoed in the car. I was in the middle of two bulky men, their faces were masked, leaving only their cold and piercing gaze, which was fixed on me. Is my fate this cruel? Can't I really stay away from problems? Tears formed in my ears as I lowered my head. “Heyy, look here!” the man on my left said, using his gun to shake my body. I slowly raised my head, allowing my tears to flow, “Where are you taking me to?” My mouth quivered, as the question left my mouth. “No questions, keep shut and do as you’re told.” his warning voice rang in my ear. Sophia's words kept ringing in my head, as the urge to tell them I have nothing to do with the emperor was strong. I couldn't say that to them, I'm yet to know why the
NADIA'S POVWhile he was gone, I tried to flip, so the chair could get off me, because it was pressing on me harder. But I couldn't, I was tied to the chair. Any more attempts might wound me, So I stopped and laid still on the floor, waiting for him to return, though I wished he'd never return. It wasn't long, I heard slow yet calculated footsteps walking towards me, I knew it was him, I couldn't do anything, but crawl slightly away from where I was. His laugh echoed in the room, and the next thing, he grabbed my hair.“Running away, junior Azura?” he mocked, dragging me up by my hair. He was with a knife which he used to cut off the rope that held me to the chair. I knew my wrists and legs were bruised, I could feel the pain from how tight the rope had been tied. His grip was still firm on my hair, while his eyes stared intently at me. If his hands were to leave my hair, I'm sure I was going to fall flat to the ground. I'm tired, my whole body aches. He pushed my face up to look at
NADIA'S POVMy head and my body ached terribly as I tried to open my eyes. My eyes, which were finally opened, took in my surroundings and I found out I was on a soft bed, a large and luxurious room. I sat up slowly, the only thing I could remember was beaten up by those heartless men.Wait? Did they change their mind and decide to treat me nicer, by bringing me into a room?I heard footsteps approaching, suddenly the door knob was twisted and the door was opened. Nervousness shot through my system as my gaze remained on the door, my heart thumping hard in my chest. The door swung open and a doctor walked in, he was followed by a young man, who had piercings and an eagle tattoo on his arm. He must be one of them, I thought.“You're awake, how are you feeling?” The doctor beamed with kindness as he took a close glance at me.I did not respond as my gaze was still fixed at him, it was as if I forgot how to talk. He seemed to sense the nervousness in my eyes and smiled gently. “I mean yo
LUCIANO'S POV Doctor Johnson told me the girl's health was better than last night and that she recovered pretty fast. There is an ointment he gave me to apply on her bruises to heal them faster. After Johnson left, I decided to see her myself. I went into the room only to find Laila, my cook and only female servant. She does most chores inside the house alone. I was going to ask her where the girl was, when the door to the bathroom suddenly opened revealing her cute scarred face and petite figure wrapped in a towel that was barely covering her.She gasped as soon as her gaze landed on mine, like a teenage boy, I felt my heart fluttering. Her gaze was fixed intently on me, I could already tell that she didn't recognize me, of course she was quick to leave after that night. My gaze lingered on her lips, her cleavage and her thighs, and she instantly crossed her feet, and lowered her head. My mind raced wildly with evil thoughts, as I stepped closer and closer to her, I placed my finger
NARRATOR ~~Luciano stared blankly at Nadia, Her gaze determined and expression solemn, not the usual Nadia's gaze. But then, he couldn't bring himself to tell anything to her, not then, not yet. “You need to rest.” He said and turned to leave when Nadia’s next words halted him.“Right now, I don't mind dying. I don't mind working my ass off to repay you, I don't mind walking away from you and walking into them again and getting tortured ... .I really don't mind.” Her voice wavered.“My life has been nothing but a mess, a web filled with lies, secret. I don't even know my own identity, getting accused of what I have no information or idea about. I don't even remember any part of my childhood, not even my parents' faces. Yeah, you've been protecting me quite well, but I still got to experience the whole torture all over again, except this time…it was cruel.”“I….I…” Nadia lowered her head as her voice faltered and she broke into tears, hugging her head like she could separate it from
NADIA A stark, blinding whiteness consumed my vision. The scent of antiseptic burned my nose. The steady, rhythmic beeping of a heart monitor pulsed in the background, dragging me out of the abyss. My eyelids fluttered open. The ceiling above me was white, too white, like a void swallowing everything. The bright lights stung my eyes, forcing me to blink against the sharp ache pressing against her skull. A dull, throbbing pain radiated from my abdomen, each pulse sharper than the last.My breath shuddered as the memories from last night flooded into my head. Luciano. The chaos. The escape. And then….my fingers twitched against the stiff hospital sheets. Slowly, I turned my head, my body protesting even the slightest movement. A deep, dragging exhaustion weighed me down, as though my bones had been replaced with lead.My heart skipped as I suddenly remembered. My stomach. The pain. The warm, sticky wetness. The sharp, gut wrenching pain that ripped through my body before my legs gave
NARRATOR ~~The moment the alarms blared, Luciano knew the escape wasn't going to be easy, but he had vowed to get Nadia out of there. The red warning lights flashed through the dark corridors, casting eerie shadows as men flooded the halls. The silence that had lingered previously shattered into chaos. The air was consumed with the metallic scent of blood and gunpowder as gunfire erupted like a violent storm.Luciano's grip on Nadia tightened as he turned to Logan. “Get her out of here. I'll clear the path.”Logan's face was grim. He nodded, stepping towards Nadia, but before he could even lay a hand on her, bullets whizzed last them, slamming into the walls, sending chunks of stone and debris flying.“Fuck….get down!” Luciano barked, grabbing Nadia’s arm and shielding her as he pressed her against the wall. His men had already taken position, returning fire with ruthless precision. The hallway had now turned into a wall zone.Luciano moved swiftly, his gun raised as he fired at the
LUCIANO~~My fingers curled into fists as my patient grew thin, as if hanging on a thread. Every second that passed felt like a blade slicing through my control. Nadia was in that house, surrounded by Damon's men. And yet, here I was, standing and waiting.“Time’s running out, Logan,” I growled, my voice a low warning. “If I find out you've been wasting my time, I swear I'm gonna put a bullet into your fucking skull and get to her myself.”Logan exhaled, steadying himself. “Listen, I want Nadia out of there, as much as you do, not just for my sake, but I got her in there. But if you go in now, guns blazing, they'll kill her before you can even step inside.”I clenched my jaw, my body vibrating in frustration. My instincts screamed at me to act. To move. Logan continued, his voice low. “I know the layout. Her room is in the west wing, near Silas’s personal quarters. Damon stationed his most ruthless men outside her door. We're talking about killers that have intense hatred against the
NADIA “You think your adoption was fate? Some kind couple taking in a poor, abandoned child?” His fingers trailed down my arm, but I recoiled violently, my breath coming in ragged bursts. “You were handpicked, Nadia. And the name Eddie, I gave that to you. The orphanage just chose to call you Nadia.” Silas continued, his voice thick with cruel amusement. “Your adoptive parents weren't Saviours or kind. They were paid by me.” The room spun.No.No, no, no.“You're lying,” I said, my voice barely above a whisper.Silas chuckled, dark and pleased. “Am I? I watched you grow. No. You grew on my money, I was waiting for you to become what I needed. But those bastards? They failed me.” His smile twisted into something crueler. “So, I showed them what it felt like to go against me.”Bitterness rose in my throat.“You..” my voice choked.“Yes,” he said simply. “I killed them, and their precious daughter? Heh, you wouldn't want to know what I did with her.”The air in my lungs vanished, I
NADIA“I'd been dreaming all these while.” I cursed under my breath as I sat up from the bed. I'd been so overjoyed to see Luciano, only to find out it was a dream.Could that be a sign? I thought.“Good morning, sweetheart,” Damon's voice suddenly sounded behind me, startling me out of my thoughts.“What do you want?” “Don't ask obvious questions.”“I wish I could let you relax more, but no. We stopped somewhere last night, I'm eager to finish it.”“So, tell me. Did you make up your mind to tell the truth?”I swallowed the lump forming in my throat.“Damon, I told you, I have no idea what you're talking about. I swear.”There was a sharp shift in his gaze, “Are you intentionally testing my patience?”“No, I…” “Bring her!” He barked. His men bagged into the room and yanked me up from the bed. Pulling me to follow them.“Damon, no!”I was brought to a dimly lit room, the temperature was very low, almost freezing. Tears pricked my eyes as I glanced at Damon's cold face.“You have so
LUCIANOMy fingers trembled slightly as I unfolded the crisp white paper, my pulse an unsteady rhythm in my ears. The moment my eyes scanned the bold letters on the top of the document, my world tilted.PATIENT: NADIA ANGELO RESULT: POSITIVE – APPROXIMATELY 6 WEEKS PREGNANT My breath caught. I read it again. PREGNANT I inhaled sharply. My grip tightened around the edges of the paper, my knuckles white. My heart, so used to being a weapon of ice and steel, felt like it had just been ablaze.Nadia is pregnant…with my child.A growl tore from my chest, raw and vicious, rattling through the walls of the empty bedroom. My jaw clenched as a thousand thoughts fought for dominance in my head. I had failed her….. again. I had let them take her. And now she wasn't just Nadia. She's with my child. The mother of my child. And Damon had her. Damon, that bastard, who would stop at nothing to break people. My mind snapped to the worst possibilities, was she hurt? She's scared, I know her and she'

Damon's presence was consuming, his dark gaze drilling into my soul with a twisted amusement that we entered chills running down my spine.Luciano was right…Damon is such a monster.“You still don't get it, do you?” Damon's voice was smooth, almost scornful. He reached out, brushing a stray of my hair from my face, his fingers lingering on my cheeks, sending chills down my spine. I flinched back, but I couldn't move away from him, my back was against the wall already.“You act so strong and fearless,” he said, his lips curling into a sinister smile. “But I can feel your fear, it's, it's intoxicating.”My fingers instinctively clenched into fists. “If you think terrorizing me Is going to change how I feel, then you're wrong and also wasting your time. Luciano will find me, and when he does…”“Enough!” Damon's hands shot out and gripped my chin between his
NADIA I couldn't believe my eyes. My pulse quickened and my breath hitched in my throat. The person standing before me, smirking coldly, was none other than Logan. The last person I expected to see. “You? How could you?” I spat, my voice a mix of anger and disbelief. My chest heaved with anger and frustration. I couldn't believe Logan would dare to have me kidnapped.“You should be thankful, Eddie. This is the only way to save you from him. Now you're here, we will protect you.”“We?”“Yes, we. We'll make sure to keep away from Luciano.” Another familiar voice echoed from behind Logan, as he stepped in.“Damon?” “Sweetheart. Long time no see. You were avoiding me, now, look who's excited to see me.” He chuckled and walked closer to stand in front of me.Damon and Logan are now working together, just to have me kidnapped. Why?My eyes darted between the both of them, “Who told you I need to be safe from Luciano? Damon, you'd regret bringing me here, if Luciano finds out. Let me go.”
