Nicolas

The night before the event...

I was in Viler’s office. We tracked down the individual who was following Anaya while disguised as a woman. He was a scumbag hired to track Anaya’s movements from the airport. He also received an anonymous phone call and was compensated in cash for his services.

I groaned and sank into the chair across from him. I was exhausted, dried out, and in need of a drink. “Are you certain he is telling us the whole truth?” Viler asked.

“Yes, I am sure. He was so terrified when he saw me he peed in his pants. And let’s just say that I was adamant about getting the truth out of him. He is another lackey who doesn’t know shit,” I said. Viler looked at me with the same expression. We have spent so much time searching for leads, but have only come up with dead ends.

“Okay. We will pick this up after the event tomorrow. Go get some rest,” Viler said, and I nodded. I also need to work on other issues. But before that, I need to see my soon-to-be bride. I have

Anaya I grinned inwardly, thinking about the tense showdown I had with one of Nicolas’s men. I am not a snide person, but his condescending comments made me want to shut him up. So rather than yell and make a scene, I did what I do best and offered him a smile and a sarcastic response. I sighed when I couldn’t find Cia after scouring the entire hall. Where is she? An eerie whisper brought my attention to a secluded balcony. My eyes widened as I approached the balcony and noticed Cia with none other than Noah. They were both involved in a heated debate, completely ignorant of my presence. “No. Why don’t you understand?” she whispered at the intimidated-looking Mafia boss. Hurt flashed in his eyes. “And why not?” he asked. Although I was curious about what they were discussing, I did not want to eavesdrop on their private conversation. “Ahem,” I cleared my throat. Both their heads snapped in my direction and Cia’s face turned pale. Although Mr. Ivankov was just as surprised, he imme

Nicolas I shoved the person who was pressing up against me like a leech. “Are you out of your mind, Ria?” I yelled. “Oh, boss, come on. You want me, you know it.” She whispered, rubbing her body against me while attempting to climb me. I pushed her once more. Boy, this girl doesn’t get a hint! “How often do I need to remind you? I don't want you. Get your fucking head together!” I screamed. “No! You cannot marry that filthy ass bitch! I’m aware that you want me. I know you’re marrying her for the sake of her father’s business! I know you love me!” she yelled. She has lost her fucking mind. She needs a fucking doctor. But before I could say or do anything, she smacked her lips on mine, and my eyes widened. I was too confused to respond for two seconds, but I quickly regained my composure and shoved her. “You slut, don’t touch me!” I yelled. She stumbled back, hitting the wall. I grabbed her in two steps and gripped her neck tightly, yanking her upward while she whimpered in pain. “

Anaya I hurried to my room, holding my head down. I could feel Marco and another bodyguard following me inside. They always keep watch outside the mansion, but Nicolas gave them orders to keep watch outside my room if my father wasn’t home. “Mam,” one of the guards said as he knocked on my door. “We are standing outside the room. Please inform us if you need anything.” I nodded. “Okay. Could you kindly ensure that no one bothers me? I need to rest.” I massaged my brow, attempting to show them I was suffering from a headache. “Yes mam,” he replied. I slammed the door shut and sank to the ground. Everything came crashing down on me like a tonne of bricks. Everyone lies to me. My adoptive parents, my biological father, my soon-to-be husband, and even my best friend. They have all deceived me in every manner imaginable. I am such an idiot to believe anything everyone says. I chuckled humorlessly, remembering the day Nicolas told me I was too naïve, and I sassed him. When I reflect on

Nicolas Amid the chaos I had created in the room, I sat on the floor. I couldn’t keep it under control any longer. She has vanished! Gone! Nobody knows where she is or what happened to her. My heart felt as if it had been torn from my chest. I clench my fist around the ring. She left the ring on the table. She vanished with no sign of her whereabouts, no note, nothing. Her bodyguards informed me that she had dispatched them to various tasks. When one of them returned, he found a note informing him she needed rest and did not need the tampons anymore. Furthermore, the moron didn’t even knock to check how she was doing. She skillfully dodged the cameras, but overlooked the covert cameras that are installed throughout the property. The only issue was that they did not transmit real-time footage, which we only recently discovered. Viler and I watched how she used the escape tube. Her plan would have impressed me if I wasn’t so upset with her for running. We were gathering as much infor

Anaya When I attempted to get comfortable on my hard bed, my body ached. A hard bed? But, my bed was soft and fluffy, why did I have the impression that I was sleeping on the floor? I rolled onto my back and let out a hiss. My entire body is screaming in anguish. I gradually opened my eyes and made an effort to adjust to the darkness. It was grim here. Only the light from the aperture at the bottom of the door was visible to me. I made a hesitant attempt to stand up, but something was hindering me. When I looked to my left, I noticed that my wrists were cuffed. When I noticed that my other hand and my legs were in the same situation, I became even more perplexed. After a brief pause, the events of yesterday suddenly hit me in the face. That man, he, he kidnapped me. I jumped awake but grumbled because my body hurt. I vaguely recall him seated on the couch when I woke up from my nap. I tried to escape but soon found myself encircled by men. I understood that yelling for assistance wo

Nicolas My private jet landed, and we got off. We finally touched down at the airport that was the closest to Anaya’s location. I have to give Gio credit for choosing the most unexpected site for his home. We piled inside the armored vehicle. Viler kept to himself the entire trip. I left the man alone since I could imagine how awful it would have been for him to watch as his daughter fled to live somewhere else rather than stay with him. Furthermore, she was in immediate danger. I never expected that the source of this information would be someone who was sent to hurt her. Kevin. He had finally come out of his coma. As soon as Ben alerted me that he was awake, I lost no time in rushing to his hospital room. I could see the fear in his eyes when I entered his room. It soothed my soul that he was terrified of me. I didn’t waste any time and asked him why he was following my kitten. He acted all disoriented. However, as soon as I pulled my gun out, his memory came rushing back. He expl

  • My Mafia Husband   Chapter 39

Nicolas My men have reported the whereabouts of the building where we pinged Cole. They designed the building to seem like an industrial structure. It was swarming with armed personnel and a few vehicles moving back and forth. I don’t know how, but Adrain has already hacked their system, and he bugged the cameras. We were about ten minutes away from the place. Something in me wanted to fucking fly there. We arrived much later than we expected since we were attempting to escape notice, and the deteriorating roads did not help. Ganny just called to tell me that someone had been observed walking into the building. As we were a few meters from the building, we got out of the car and strapped our weapons. Our guns were all fitted with silencers, so they could hear no noise. I loaded all five of my weapons and placed them in their places, keeping extra ammunition in my pocket. Darkness enveloped us as it was late at night, making it difficult to navigate, but we had to push through. My g

Nicolas “I am sorry.” The moment the doctor spoke those words, my already broken heart broke once more, but this time, the pain turned to fury. I fired on the ground before he had finished speaking to emphasize that quitting was not an option. He jumped, clearly frightened. “Let me finish, please. I’m sorry that I can’t assist you here. Her pulse is feeble and slow. We need to get her to the hospital right away,” the doctor stated. “What are you waiting for?” I yelled. They hurried to the stretcher on which Anaya was lying in the ambulance. Viler and I rushed after the stretcher. When the doctor attempted to prevent us from getting into the ambulance, we both pulled our weapons and instantly silenced him. We both climbed beside her. Viler had her hand in a tight grip. I winced when the doctor placed an IV in her other hand. Anaya remained still despite his best efforts to scrub her wounds. The doctor has called the hospital to request an operating room and for medical staff to be o

  • My Mafia Husband   Epilogue

6 years later... Nicolas I brushed my fingertips over the name ‘Emma Ricci’ on the tombstone. The words ‘an amazing mother and human’ were written in capital letters below it. My mother. Even after all these years, I still miss her with all my heart. I whispered, “Maa, I miss you,” and laid the flowers Anaya had picked this morning from the garden on the grave. I am sure that my mother is resting with angels. I looked to my right and saw three more headstones. While searching for Scar, I learned more about my other half-siblings that he had killed. I never managed to locate their remains, but I was able to establish some momentum in their memory. I may never meet them, but I pray they find peace in the hereafter. I smiled and walked back to the house. The wonderful aroma of coffee drew me to the kitchen, where my beautiful wife was brewing coffee. I smiled and hugged her from behind. “Hi, kitten,” I whispered in her ear and kissed her neck. My hands stroked her stomach. She shutt

  • My Mafia Husband   Chapter 94

Anaya I was floating in complete darkness. My body felt as though it was fastened to a harness. I tried to get down, but I could not. I held my hand out to touch something, but it was just a whole lot of nothing. I was about to give up when I overheard a toddler babbling in the distance. I turned to glance around when I saw a kid crawling away from me. He moved away on all fours while wriggling his adorable bum, so I was unable to see his face. It felt like the child was calling out to me as the he kept babble-babbling in his child’s language. I pushed myself to follow the child. And soon I was swimming towards him. “Hold on, little one. Where is your mama?” I questioned, but the child picked up his pace. I huffed, “Stop running, baby. We need to get you back to your mama. She might be worried!” The infant babbled again, and soon I heard him laugh. I could not help but smile at the sweet laughter of a child. I must admit that seeing him laugh made me happy. As though my maternal

Nicolas “Noooo....” As soon as I noticed Anaya tumbling to the ground, I yelled. Everything was moving in slow motion for me. She had pushed me aside, taking a bullet that was meant for me. I turned to face the culprit. The blood that was pouring out of his mouth did not hide the smirk plastered on his face. He was holding a gun and pointing at her. I yelled in anger and snatched the gun out of his hand and he looked me in the eye. “You are no human. See you in hell, Scar,” I said and shot him in the middle of his forehead. His blood splattered on the floor as the bullet tore through his head. I shot him repeatedly until I felt someone grab my collar. I spun around to see a distraught Cia pleading with me to look at Anaya. I turned around and spotted Cia, Ben, and Adrian with several of my men. I’m not even sure when they walked into the room. I looked at my wife, who was bleeding on the floor and struggling to keep her eyes open, as I recovered from my vengeful daze. Her eyes were

Nicolas I grumbled and drew Anaya closer to me. Even though I was awake, I didn’t want to leave the warmth of my wife’s body. She exhaled and snuggled deeper into my chest. I opened my eyes and her naked body pressed against mine stirred my friend down south. I wanted to wake her up and have my way with her again. She must, however, be worn out from the previous night. We had been at it like rabbits. We didn’t get to sleep until the early hours of the morning, fucking until we were out of energy. Nonetheless, my body yearned for her. I don’t think I will ever be tired or fulfilled by the number of times I have her. She is my drug, and I am addicted. She had been apprehensive ever since she first met OBGYN Dr. Nile three months ago. Though he has assured her at all appointments that everything is fine, she is still doubting herself. The grief in her eyes when she sees a negative pregnancy test crushes my heart. I haven’t let her take another test for three weeks now and we are wingin

  • My Mafia Husband   Chapter 91

Anaya Lee’s battered body lay on the ground. His mangled body was covered in blood from head to toe. Due to the loss of blood, his skin turned pale. His clothes were ripped, and his eyes were hollow. He didn't look like the man I'd seen a few months earlier, with the Armani suit, exquisite jewelry, wide smile, and expensive watches. However, he deserves it after what he had done. He is at the topmost level of the dungeon and is used as a punching bag by all of us. Some of Marcus’s men decided to take the easy way out and kill themselves with cyanide pills while those who had been left were here in the dungeons. The evil ones have been vented, and all have been tortured. The majority of his men were killed. We didn’t have any other options. A few, such as the doctor and his brother who assisted Nicolas, are helped by him to live an honest life. “What? I unloaded my frustration on him since you wouldn't allow me to go on my trips.” Cia said nonchalantly. Nicolas sighed and rubbed his

  • My Mafia Husband   Chapter 90

Nicolas As I sat in my chair, I noticed that all of my commanders were listing intendly. The previous two months had been extremely hectic. I’ve begun to focus again on my work since the plasters have been removed and my body has fully recovered. We have managed to bounce back higher due to my and Anaya’s efforts. Yes, I have officially asked her to be the boss of the gang. She has declined for the time being. She wants to learn how to operate the business correctly, and she has been a tremendous student. I find it fascinating how she comes up with innovative solutions. I turned to gaze to my right where my new commander, Anaya Ricci, was presenting the information she had for our proposed warehouse to everyone. She had taken care of the repairs and security updates to the warehouse with the help of Adrain. “Nicolas, your lost in your thoughts,” she said quietly as she ended her presentation and the room applauded. I snapped out of my thoughts and looked at her. “I’m sorry. What w

Anaya I felt a tingle on the underside of my thigh. I squirmed when I felt a delicate caress near my hip. Is this a dream? Since Nicolas started teasing me with his touches and dirty words way too frequently last week, I have been exceedingly jittery and aroused. I heard Nicolas say, “I know you’re awake, kitten. Open your eyes.” when I felt hot breath near my ear. Of course, it’s him that gets me wet first thing in the morning! I thought of teasing him, returning the favor, but I jerked awake when I felt a slap on my pussy. “What the...” I lagged. I saw my handsome husband lying on top of me, freshly showered, wearing a red t-shirt and blue jeans. He smirked, “Good morning, wife. It’s always lovely to see your beautiful eyes and naked body in the morning.” I flushed as I realized I was under him, absolutely naked. He purposely made me play strip poker last night, knowing well I am terrible at cards and that’s how I ended up naked while he was fully clothed. Now that Nicolas’s ba

Nicolas I saw my beautiful wife curled up beside me. Two weeks have passed since I was released from the hospital. I was strictly ordered to stay in bed, and some of my minor bandages had been taken off. I pushed my body to move even though it was still difficult. I'm not going to be chained to a bed. I chuckled, as I remembered how mad Anaya and Cia got when I tried to stand up and fell down on the ground. Since Marcus managed to escape the helicopter when it crashed into the water, everyone has been under pressure. He was actually concealing a knife in his boot, which he used to cut through his binds discreetly. While Noah was holding him, he stabbed the knife into Noah's thigh. We were relieved Noah was safe, since we didn't need a battle with the American Mafia right now. The five men aboard the helicopter that was transporting Marcus got into a fight with him. Someone inadvertently discharged gun, shooting the pilot and causing the plane to crash. We lost Marcos, Anaya's bodygu
