Chapter 20

CONRI’S POV

The boys tortured Ava and her scream for help filled the words. No one could hear her. She whimpered and yelped in pain. Her once vigour and harsh voice was reduced to a whimper. I stood at the far end of another tree and watched closely. After shouting to no avail, she started to beg for mercy. The boys ignored her and continued to whip her with rage and revenge evident in their eyes.

I let them have their portion of revenge. I was not satisfied with just torturing her but I wanted her to feel pain before my revenge was exerted.

“Stop!” I commanded. They had whipped her from midnight and it was almost dawn already. We need to get her home before the Beta gets suspicious.

“Free her. That’s enough torture for today. You guys would have fun some other time,” I said. They panted heavily and suddenly burst into laughter, so I joined them. They looked fulfilled and happy. As they loosened the rope around the tree, she spat blood.
