Facing Tina’s confused expression, Marcus did not dare to tell Tina the truth.
“Come on, everyone, what happened?” Tina was scared now.
She let out a dried chuckle, turning to face Marcus once again. Shakingly, Tina asked the young head-alpha once again, “Marcus, please, tell me what happened?”
“You can’t leave the hospital now. You need to install an internal fixation for your left leg.” Marcus bitterly said.
Tina blinked confusedly. She did not understand what internal fixation was. Yet, if it was for her broken left leg, then it should be something related to her broken bone.
Still, internal fixation might be a little bit too much! She only needed a cast. Two to three days later, her wolf would completely heal her.
She had a broken arm before. Not as seriously as this time, but still, she would heal in no time. As long as she had her wolf, Tina would be fine.
Came to think of it, Tina
Tina’s cry had died down after some while. The omega turned from vailed into quiet sobbing, quivering on her bed, hiding under her blanket. The omega was scared for real.It was not an act. She was scared now.Her wolf was exhausted from all the healing it had done for Tina. If her wolf could not recover from this, Tina might lose her wolf forever. If it happened, then what would Tina become?A werewolf that did not have its wolf!Such a joke!“Stop your acting! Marcus had gone!” Edsel rolled his eyes, tired of Tina's acting. He said stolidly, “And it’s just a wolf that has no use at all! Omegas are useless wolves! Might as well lose it!”At the time, there were three of the Brown staying in the ward. Marcus had gone out to meet up with Fynn, arranging Tina’s surgery as soon as possible. The young head-alpha of the Bailey’s pack had not returned, yet. Therefore, Edsel felt
Giselle felt a sudden creep run across her spine, making her shiver.“What’s wrong?” Her mom asked, concerned.Giselle shook her head cause even she did not have a single idea what was wrong. Yet, one thing she knew for sure, her uneasy feeling had just grown. Nonetheless, Giselle shook it off.“It’s about time for your check-up, right?” Giselle diverted her mom’s attention. If Giselle's memory served her well, her mom's check-up was about to come.Catherine had a mitral valve regurgitation. Her disease had gotten more and more serious. It had gotten to the point she had to do cardiac surgery. Her mom was definitely aging.Giselle felt emotional just by thinking of it.Her mom had gone through a lot. Catherine’s physical health had been weaker than any other omegas since day one. It was obvious that the omega’s body could not be strong enough for her to bear a child. Therefore, Cat
Isma Perez was a close friend to Catherine. They were childhood friends. However, the two rarely talked ever since Catherine had got to know Edsel. Isma had disapproved of Catherine and Edsel, too. Catherine had gotten so angry at her best friend when the omega found out. She had thought Isma would be on her side. The two had not spoken since then. When Catherine had been banished from the pack, Isma still begged for her. But Catherine’s dad had dismissed her. Catherine had been too stubborn with Edsel at the time. The omega was too stubborn to the point she would not listen to anyone. It was safe to say that Catherine regretted it now. Of course, she was not regretted of having Giselle. Giselle was everything Catherine had. Catherine regretted losing a protective family and a friend like Isma.Should she had not been so blinded by Edsel, she would not be in this stage right now.Catherine could not help but sigh.“Can&rsq
“Ding!”The notification sound from the microwave went off, snapping the two out of their hazy stage.“Damn it.” Marcus cursed under his breath, not wanting to leave Giselle’s side as the omega scent just got him under his spell. He felt like her enchanting eucalyptus scent of Giselle around him suddenly turned into a deep blue sea that pulled him in, drowning him in its intense aroma. But Marcus was willing to drown in it. Marcus was so ready to lose himself in it.Even Marcus’s inner wolf yearning for it, too. It felt disappointed when Marcus stopped in his track. Not only did Marcus and his wolf feel disappointed, but Giselle and her wolf did also, too.Nonetheless, the omega knew she was not ready for them to take things further than this.“Is mom seeing the guy?” Marcus reluctantly let go of Giselle to get his pizza. His God damn pizza! It suddenly did not look so appetizing
The alpha took that as his signal. The alpha leaned in, peppering the omega’s face with pecks. The omega could not help but giggle at his action.“Stop! Stop! You’re tickling me.” Giselle tried her best to squirm to get out of the alpha’s shower of pecks.Marcus laughed along. And finally, he stopped with his pecks. However, Marcus did not want to stop there. The alpha leaned in, finding his way to the omega’s tempting cherry lips.As Marcus placed his thin lips on hers, Giselle felt sparks lit up in her head. It made her feel dizzy. Her surroundings suddenly were gone. At that moment, the only existence thing to her right then was Marcus. The omega felt ever so light-headed like she was one cloud nine. The alpha was being tender to her. He made her feel loved and treasured. It was the kind of love Giselle had never experienced before. It made her feel scared, but at the same time, yearning for more
“Hospital?” Lady Bailey asked. She sounded surprised, “Did anything happen?” Did Marcus get hurt, or was it, Giselle? Far as she knew, there were no fights or encounters that happened after the event of Toby, Ben, and Raiz. So why did Marcus have to be at the hospital? On the other end, Marcus knew he had screwed up. The alpha knew Lady Bailey hold a grudge against the Brown. She had made sure to tell Marcus that she despised of them. Such a relief that she did not feel hate or hold her grudge against Giselle! Long story short, Lady Bailey should not know about the Browns were here, at their hospital. “Oh, I come to see Fynn. He’s never been around anymore,” Marcus quickly thought of a reason to make his presence at the hospital sound gullible, “I have to go now. Fynn’s here.” Without waiting for Lady Bailey to return his words, Marcus briskly turned off his phone, throwing it to the side, he let out a heavy sigh. “Tsk,
“Tina!”The omega jolted at Marcus’s sudden call. She looked in his direction as he was making his way to her.“What a coincidence! I was just discussing your condition with Fynn.”Marcus furrowed as he saw the omega.Tina also felt insecure when she saw Marcus. The omega knew how ugly she looked at the moment. She looked worn out to say the least. She looked ugly, unhealthy, and shabby. Tina, as of then, was different from Tina before. However, it was not her act. Her weariness was understandable. Tina’s wolf had been so exhausted by all the healing jobs it had to do for her. Tina’s inner wolf had gone to its hibernation, which was rare for a wolf. But, once again, understandable. Plus, hibernation was only a word Fynn put out to describe the omega’s current stage.Long story short, Tina’s wolf was no longer there. It took time for her wolf to come back. In the meantime, the omega
“Tina, who is she?”Marcus repeated himself, demanding an answer.Tina looked up at him. The omega bit her lips and then turned aside, “No one.”Marcus would not buy her words.“Who are you trying to cover for? Who forced you?” The alpha needed to know. The omega kept on shaking her head in denial, crying, “Don’t force me! I can’t say it!”Marcus pursed his lips at her. Anxious grew within himself each second passed by.“Marcus, my dad has been through a lot. The least I can do for him is to keep my mouth shut! He can’t handle anymore.” Tina started to hiccup. Her words sounded broken. The head alpha furrowed: “Tina, do you want me to help you?”Tina, with her eyes all teary, and her nose as red as a tomato, once again kept her head down. Her shoulders were slightly shaking. The head alpha looked at this and thought to himself that

Derek met Giselle again a week later. The girl was queuing at the coffee shop that Derek was frequent. The two were pretty surprised to see each other there.“You were Derek, from a week ago on the street, right?” Giselle asked him first, with a hint of unsure.Derek beamed at her. He nodded, “Glad you remember me.”“Oh, no. Not that kind of remember,” Giselle shook her head. The manager chuckled, “I know. So, erm- would you mind having a cup of coffee with me?” Derek asked. And surprisingly, after a bit of consideration, Giselle said yes. But it was not rocket science. The girl was curious about Derek and that was all. From what had happened three days earlier, this man seemed to know her and that bothered Giselle. How could she forget if she ever met the guy? He seemed to be a nice guy, Giselle would remember if she had met him before. But then, again, everything about her past was nothing but a blurry mess to her. He might be someone she knew back then. Moving here was such a great
“Giselle-” Marcus said, trembling. He could not believe in his eyes anymore. It was Giselle by flesh and bones! She was not Marcus’s hallucination. She was alive!“Giselle!”The head alpha happily pulled Giselle in his arms, hugging her tightly as if he ever let go, then Giselle would disappear in only a blink of an eye.If that ever happened, Marcus did not know how he could hold himself together anymore. Now that she was here, he would not let her go ever again. His wolf was howling, feeling happy that it could finally bathe in its mate’s comfort scent once again. This was ecstasy.“Wow, easy! Who are you?” Giselle frowned, pushing Marcus away harshly. The girl looked at Marcus with only irritation and confusion.“Giselle-” Marcus found himself dumbfounded. He could not catch on with the situation anymore.Giselle frowned, eyeing Marcus head to toe. The girl then huffed, she sounded so distant, “Do you know me?” Marcus was too stunned to speak. His lips quivered but no words could
A year later.“It’s Toby’s wedding ceremony today, Gigi,” Marcus said, “He’s getting married to your human friend. They both seemed very happy.”Marcus shoved his hands into his pockets, his eyes darting away as he let out a heavy breath. It had been a year then. A year of longing and torment with Marcus.Time had passed but he could never forget the day Giselle fell off the cliff, and how useless Marcus felt over a year ago watching her disappear right in front of his eyes. Though that day had been gone for good, still, Marcus could recall the sadness and such a helpless feeling of a year ago like it had just happened yesterday.Marcus still lived, but he rather d*ead. The head alpha did not seem to be himself anymore but rather an alpha wolf struggling and tormenting himself. He overworked himself to the point of being almost exhausted. He rarely ate or drank anything. His sleeping schedule was a mess, too. He was deprived of sleep. Because every time he closed his eyes, he could no
When Tim and Ben got to the lighthouse, they got no sight of Marcus at all.Raiz’s lackeys’ bodies lay on the ground, no longer intact. Then there was also Raiz, who lay dead behind Marcus’s back. His cause of death might be a b*loody hole in front of his chest, or it could be because of the silver knife piercing through his forehead. Either way, Raiz was dead. But Marcus? They did not know about his whereabouts. The head alpha had been impatience, so he came here by himself first. And for what had happened, Tim and Ben could say Marcus handled the situation well. Yet, where was he then?Did anything unfortunate happen to him?The two looked at each other, frowning.Unexpectedly, they heard Marcus yelling, “Giselle!”The two flinched, rushing to where their head alpha’s calling rang up. And they saw him. There he was, diving under, frantically searching and calling Giselle’s name. But there was no sight of her.“Marcus!”“Alpha!”The two called out for their head alpha, but they got n
Without any hesitation, and not even a blink of an eye, Raiz’s blade c*ut through Giselle’s throat like it was nothing. Not only Marcus was too stunned to react, but only Giselle. The cut was quick. So quick that Giselle did not even feel the sharp edge of the knife slashing through. Only when the damage had been done, as the stingy feeling rushed in with the burning sensation that flooded her neurons, did Giselle realize what Raiz had done.Giselle looked down and widened her eyes in disbelief as she saw b*lood quickly staining her front dress. Her wolf immediately got into action, spreading its healing ability to keep Giselle from dying. The Stephern’s omega was lucky because it was not a cut caused by a silver knife. Otherwise, she would be dead by now.“Stop right where you are!” Raiz raised his voice, and he caught Giselle’s attention. And then, Giselle heard a raging roar. The roar was so scary that it even terrified Giselle’s inner wolf.Looking up, the Stephern’s omega saw Mar
“Aren’t you happy now that your beloved uncle calls, Marcus?” Raiz said smudgily.“Where’s she?” Marcus got straight to the point.“My oh my, aren’t you worried about her?” Raiz chuckled, “And here I thought you two are separated. How silly am I! I almost got played by your little one, nephew.”Marcus stayed silent for a quick second before replying, “Let Tina go!”His words hit hard.“Pardon?” Raiz raised an eyebrow as he glanced at Giselle. The Stephern’s omega quickly turned away, avoiding his gaze. Tightening her fists, Giselle bit on her lips hard enough that she tasted blood.Even though she had a guest that Marcus would call Tina’s name out in the very first place, Giselle still felt somewhat hurt. However, she must endure this feeling. As she said, Marcus and Giselle were histories. Apparently, Marcus would think of Tina right away. Also, it was kind of humiliating for Raiz that he had chosen the wrong one.Marcus probably had not heard about Giselle’s missing yet. Be that as
"What do you mean Giselle is gone?" Marcus sounded disbelief. How could she be gone? But f*uck it, he had no mind to think about it anymore. He had to get to the hospital first!.The special department was in a hastiness.Securities and guards were seen at every corner of the hospital and its parking lot, desperately searching for the Stephern’s omega, who had gone missing. Every little detail counted. Therefore, they were doing their best searching for her.Marcus barged into Giselle’s ward, where Fynn had already been there. The doctor leaned on the window pane that Giselle kept opened and facing the door. He looked troubled. The head alpha looked around the whole room, frantic.“She has been gone when I came here,” Fynn sighed, “We have no idea where is she. We have been searching throughout the hospital but could not seem to find her anywhere.”“Did she go out alone?” Marcus nervously asked, “Have you checked the surveillance footage yet?”Much as he wanted to jump right to his f
"Let me go!"Marcus was startled awake to find he was no longer in Giselle's dreadfully cold and cramped hospital room. He was at his house now, asleep on the couch since God knows when. The head alpha sighed, and slumped back against his couch.Resting his hand on his forehead, Marcus stared at the ceiling, remembering what had happened this afternoon.Giselle had told Marcus to let her go. She still did not have any particular feelings, however, Marcus could hear a little bit of inner pleading in her voice.Marcus knew it would be best if he let Giselle leave the mess that was him. But at the same time, he could not. Just as he thought about letting Giselle leave, Marcus could not bear it.He was too blind beforehand. He let his anger cloud his mind and made a terrible mistake.***“Let go of me!”Brenna and Tina shouted out loud. The two were kidnapped and brought to the forest within the Ashes pack territory. In such a place, no one could interrupt Lukas took out his anger on them
