CHAPTER 6

I woke up in the evening and saw that he wasn’t back home, I “pinched” the bridge of my nose not knowing what to do or where to go, I have been locked up here for almost a full day, I got up and started searching the room, there must be something that can help me, I pushed the mattress to the side, but nothing, I search the wardrobe, under the bed, but still nothing, I search under behind the table even though I was slowly giving up until I felt something cold, I took it and “sigh” in relief and saw that it was a small phone, I tried to on the phone but the phone was dead, I must have seen a spare charger while looking, I went to the wardrobe and found it, right now my mood was so happy, I took the phone and put it on the charger, I have to wait for some bars to enter. I picked up my book and started reading. 

After some time I picked up the phone and called Emily, I pressed the dial bottom and waited for her to pick up, but she didn’t, I called again and she picked on the third ring, who’s this?, Emily asked, Emily it’s me, Amelia, I replied, Amelia who’s phone is this?, she asked, it’s a long story but I found it in the room, jake took my phone and he isn’t back yet, I can’t come out of the room because jake locked me inside the room, I said, he locked you up?, she asked, “yes he did”, please I don’t remember his phone number, do you think you can call him to come back home, I have work tomorrow, I said, alright, I’ll call him, Emily said, but where did you find this phone? She asked, I found it in the room, I replied, Okay stay safe okay!!!, Emily said, Okay, I replied. I looked at the screen and saw that she already hung up, I drop the phone and went to the door trying to see how I would open it, I looked around for anything to put in the key hole and unlock the door like how they do in the movie, I searched everywhere but nothing, I go fraustrated and used my two hands to squeeze and drag my hair, “oh” I remember dropping a hair clip in between my brushes, I walked to the table and opened the drawer took out the brush and saw the hair clip in between the brush, I “sigh” in relief, I went to the door and picked on the lock, it was getting so fraustrating that I was even sweating then I finally heard a “click”, “oh my”, “oh my” I did it, I did it, I opened the door and went straight to the kitchen, “gosh I am starving”, I need to make something fast, “hmm” a sandwich sounds nice and it’s faster, I took 2 slice of bread, opened the fridge and took out the half cabbage, lettuce, then tomatoes, 2 eggs and sausage and salad cream, I fried my egg into scramble eggs, I put the bread on a kitchen board, then rub the salad cream on the bread, the added the lettuce, chopped cabbage, sliced tomatoes, eggs and fried sausage then I drizzled the salad cream on top then covered it with the other slice bread, I cut the sandwich into two, I took the first half and bite into it, I “moaned in delight”, “gosh”, I ate it faster, the taste is like firework in my mouth, I opened the fridge and took out the pineapple juice and poured myself a glass, then returned the rest to the fridge, I took the other half of the sandwich with my juice to the sitting room, I sat on the chair and switched on the tv, I made myself comfortable on the chair while watching “orphan” a horror movie, it’s an old women who pretends to be a small child so that she could get adopted and take peoples husbands, I bite into the last bite of the  sandwich, it just taste so good, I drank my pineapple juice, I didn’t even know how long I was sitting here, I looked at the clock and saw that it was 9:30 ok the night, jake isn’t back yet, I took the dish and went to wash it, I went back to the sitting room to switch off the tv, I stretched my hands as I went back into the room, I sat on the bed and looked out the window.

Mom, dad i miss you both, I miss you so much, I miss grandma too, things are hard, I came down from the bed and went inside the cupboard and opened my belongings I took with me when grandma died, I looked inside the bags, I didn’t take much, just some of my cloth, then the book that grandma gave me, her last words were for me to take her book, the book she always kept with her, I looked at the book, it looked so enchanted, the book needs a key in order for it to open and I don’t have the key, I looked at the book as my hands softly touched the design, it looked like a leaf stem, so thick and smooth, I took the book out of my bag and put it inside my office bag, then I took moms necklace and put it around my neck, It’s been long since I wore the necklace, the design is so simple, it’s a heart shaped necklace that also looked like it’s made from a leaf stem, my hand softly touched the necklace, I went to the bed and laid down with my hand still touching the necklace, mom, dad, grandma I  wish I could meet you guys, I’ve been feeling kinda off these days, I got a job, and I do love my job but anytime I come back it just feels so empty, even though jake is with me I still feel so empty, he has been distance lately, I wish you guys were still alive, I “yawned” as I slowly closed my eyes.
