Kira's pov

I jolted out from my sleep, my chest moving like the sound of my drumming heartbeat

“Damn it!” I yelled, feeling pains all over. My legs ached from the constant running. However, I was still caught by him.

Images of Aric's deeds popped into my head, making me terrified.

The way Mary was killed before my eyes made me cry like there was no tomorrow.

After challenging, and telling him that the moon was stronger than him, he got so furious.

Aric growled at me, pinning me to the bed with his body pressed against mine.

“Don’t you dare say that to me. The moon can't help you, Lucian can't help you, and not even Mary. Do you understand?!” Aric inquired, pressing my neck so tight.

I tried to struggle with him, but he was way too strong, making tears trickle down my eyes.

Fear gripped me, and I noticed how he freed me feel his tight grip when he noticed I was in pain. However, his hands were still on my neck.

“You don't know how much I missed you. Why did you allow that fool
