James slowly fluttered his eyes open. It had been hours since he saw the injection entered his skin, draining his consciousness away forcefully without mercy. He was thirsty, his throat was getting dry and his stomach was growling, he tried to move his arms but it was to no avail.
Not only was his body still quite weak, his arms and legs were still tied since the last time he was conscious. The moment he opened his eyes he was welcomed by the sight of the same dark room, only that time, there was not just one person in the room with him, there were three other individuals, one of them was a woman.
"The most successful people are those who are good at plan B."-James A. Yorke-***The figure took a seat and watched as the screen before him unfolded, revealing a scene of buildings being engulfed and consumed by flames. He watched as a bunch of men wearing gas mask ran out of the building and found themselves badly burnt or injured as well, judging from the chaos that occurred it seemed some of them were still stuck in the buildings as parts of it started to collapse. The front door was already closed and only few were able to make it outside. From his glasses which reflected the hues of orange and red he saw. It was absolute chaos and amid this someone still had the nerve to record everything. He had unm
"Those we love never truly leave us. There are things that death cannot touch."-Jack Thorne-***It was 4 A.M in the morning when Lana suddenly heard something that itched her hearings. She did not quite understand what it was, but for a brief moment she felt a scared, as if there was something dangerous lurking near her. She also had a terrible gut feeling she had not had in a long time. It woke her up in an instant. She was breathing heavily and realized she had been sweating despite the cold temperature of the room. Suddenly, she heard a bunch of noises and looked out from her window to see what the commotion was about. The noise was low at first, however, the more awake she was, the clearer the noises b
"Love is of all passions the strongest, for it attacks simultaneously the head, the heart and the senses."-Lao Tzu-***The team walked into the manor and was surprised that most of the guards were already gone from the house. They kept on searching all across the house only to find Vincent’s body laid dead at the rooftop. There were three men standing to witness it and they stared confusedly at each other as they held their guns in case. One of them poked his body with the gun just to make sure he was actually dead.“Who killed him?” They questioned each other but of course none of them knew the answer. They guessed it made their work easier because it meant they did not have to deal with Vincent and his men on their own which would certainly cause quite a few losses on their part. One of the man made a call to the headquarter to let the board knew about the news. Each members of the board were equally as surp
"The risk of love is loss and the price of loss is grief but the pain of grief is only a shadow when compared with the pain of never risking love."-Hilary Stanton Zunin-***As soon as they arrived back to New York, Damian asked her if she wanted him to accompany her that night, considering how fragile she was feeling at the moment, he was a bit worried to leave her alone. Sad people often do stupid things and he did not want her to dwell too much in her sorrow. Lana was silent for a moment, she certainly could not be left alone but at the same time, she also did not want someone beside her when she cried. It was such a simple question but for some strange reason she found it highly difficult to answer.Lana was not usually that indecisive, she was not the kind of woman who would make simple things complicated but her mind was such a mess that night.“I don’t want to be alone tonight, but I also don’t wa
"Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory."-Theodor Seuss Geisel-***I remembered the first time I met Dimitri. I was I was just a little child who was submerged in my own world. After my father’s death, I had to make some adjustments here and there. I could feel right away that I did not belong in this new area, it was not as if I had difficulties making friends with them. I did not speak English as fluently as I could when I grew up a bit but I was still a rather bright girl, so a few kids around the neighborhood who passed by my house would ask to play with me and I thought I could be friends with them.“Lana, don’t go out by yourself.” I used to hear my mother screamed as she saw me walking pass the gate with the friends and she would grab my hand and took me away from the friends I just met. I think they became scared of my mother in particular so they rarely inv
"I want you to be happy because you deserve it. I want you to be happy because it makes me happy to see you the way you were meant to be."-Mark Anthony-***Damian had just finished all the legal issues considering Vincent’s death with the FBI and he made his testimony as a witness to the incident, since it was Dimitri who killed him and the man was dead the police and FBI could not really had anyone held accountable and eventually closed the case. Although they would continue to hold investigations regarding the underground works and trace all the connections Vincent had to discover what he had been hiding the entire time since when he was alive, they could not really do it as he had everyone’s mouth shut. He managed to tell everything except to involve Lana in the case because he really did not want her to stress too much about the matter anymore. The FBI would speak with her later on considering she was the only l
"Sometimes the biggest disappointment leads you to the right place."-Carey Graeber-***The woman was dressed in a black sleeveless A-line dress. She crossed her legs and placed her red bottom shoes on top of the man who was on all four right underneath the table. The tip of her heels was right on top of his head but the man did not seem bothered at all, in fact, he remained still without making any sound in fear of disappointing her.She had been watching everything through the hundreds screen within the large room, each played using tiny robotic projectors within the place. Through her pitch black eyes, she saw what had happened and tapped her fingers on the table. She was supposed to be happy the man she hated the most in the world was eventually dead, however she felt extremely dissatisfied with how things turned out simply because it was not her who got rid of him, it was someone else and the thought of him dying without ex
"Revenge is a confession of pain."-Latin Proverb-***When Vincent was much younger, his family still lived in their old house in the countryside area of the city far away from the rest of the population. Even though it was located in the countryside, the neighborhood was still considered an upper class neighborhood with high security system and access to beautiful view. The man might not remember it as an adult, but as a child he used to have a neighbor couple who had a young daughter who was one year younger than he was. She had the most stunning pale blue eyes and classic golden blonde hair which made her perfect as a cast of They used to play together for years until he was sixteen and she was fifteen.
