Dime and I packed my stuff up after the doctor gave the ok for me to leave the hospital,
"I can't believe they are letting you out so soon," Dime said as she folded my shirt
"I'm kind of surprised too, but I have always healed quickly," I replied with a smirk causing Dime to scuff and roll her eyes. As Dime and I packed up there was a knock at the door,
"Come in," I called out continuing to work on packing my stuff so I could leave the hospital quicker,
"Anything we can help with?" a voice asked from the door, a voice Dime and I recognized,
"What do you guys want?" Dime asked as she stood between the boys and me,
"We just want to help and ask some questions," Brock said as he walked into the room,
"Stay back!" I yelled and pulled to me, the boys immediately backed away,
"We aren't here to hurt you," Tom said as he held his hands up, Tom was looking at Dime searching for Di
I sighed before looking back to the boys, "Anything else you guys want?" I asked as I sat next to Dime, "Can you come back to us?" Brock asked, looking sheepishly at me as if he already knew the answer but was hoping for a different reply, "No," I replied, my answer flying out of my mouth like the word was fire. Brock looked at me, pleading with me to change my answer with his eyes, "Enough of your begging," I spat out, very upset with the way Brock was acting, but he wasn't the only one begging with his eyes; Drew, Tom, Grant, and Nate were begging with their eyes as well, Tom and Drew begging more than the other boys. I groaned and looked at Dime, who was looking at me with pain and happiness in her eyes, Dime really wanted to be with Tom, she wanted to have the great moments we were having while being Moony and AJ, but at the same time, she didn't want to betray me and bring me back into a world of hurt, as well as herself.
The nurses were finally able to calm me down and as they left Dime and I thanked them for helping us. "So, what happened?" Dime asked as she sat on the hospital bed waiting for me to explain, I sighed and sat in the chair near the bed before explaining what had happened with Drew; "Drew kept trying to push his feelings on me and when I wouldn't listen he kissed me. I slapped him and screamed at him for doing so, but it was like he didn't understand why I was doing what I decided to do, he made it seem like I was the bad guy. Drew didn't even seem sorry for what he had done like he wanted to forget and move on, but what he did had an effect on me to this day and I can't forget and move forward like he wants and he needs to respect that," I explained to Dime, touching my lip when I mentioned the kiss. Dime sighed in frustration "Boys are so stupid," Dime said as she looked up at me with a small smile on her face, "What did
"Mommy look!" a little girl said as she raised an award from school to show her mother, who was standing over the kitchen counter cutting carrots, "What do you have there little now?" the mother asked as she smiled while taking the little girl's award. The warm smile the mother had suddenly fell as she looked at the award, Best writer in class was what the award said, "What's this?" the mother asked looking down at the child, who was looking at her waiting for praise, "I got this award from class! Everyone else got something to do with their behavior and their math skills but I was the only one to get a writing award," the little girl explained as her smile widened with every word, however, the mother's smile turned into a frown as the little girl spoke. As the mother was about to say something another person walked into the room and the little girl's attention turned to the person entering the room, "Daddy!" the little girl sh
The little girl listened to her weeping mother and her father who hushed his wife as she cried, "Hunny, it will be ok, she will overcome this slight obsession with writing and understand that following the path we have laid for her brothers and her is the best path for her," the father spoke as he rubbed his wife's back, "But what if she doesn't? What if she continues to follow this path? We will lose money and our daughter will suffer from her horrible decisions," the mother wept, her body shaking from the force of her sobbing. The little girl held back her tears as she heard her parents speaking to one another, the little girl wondered what was so wrong with her love for writing and why her parents were forbidding it; the little girl walked up to her room to where she was safe to cry her heart out. **************************************************************************** "For years I listened to you two go back and forth about m
I woke up the next morning sore and reluctant to get up from bed, "Saph, we need to get up and go to school. We only have two days left before we graduate," Dime called from the hallway before peeking her head into my room, "Why aren't you out of bed yet?" Dime asked as she walked in and sat on my bed, "Everything hurts," I answered as Dime took the blanket off of me, "Well, let's get you some painkillers and then change your bandages," Dime said as she helped me out of bed, apologizing for every time I groaned in pain. Dime brought me to the kitchen where breakfast was waiting for me at the table, "Eat before you take your pills after you take your pills I'll change your bandages," Dime said as she pushed the eggs to me; I happily ate the eggs that Dime had made for me before forcing myself to swallow the pills Dime set in front of me, "Here is some water," Dime said as she brought a cup to me,
Dime and I rushed to our next class, trying to ignore all the looks we were getting as we ran to our second class. "We haven't even had lunch yet and we are already in the center of attention again," Dime said as I dragged her to our next class, "I wonder who did this to us?" I asked, sarcasm dripping off of my words as we rushed by the boys, who gave us worried looks and tried to talk to us but stopped as they saw our glares. Dime and I entered our second class, which basically had the same reaction as the first class, "Sapphire, Diamond, so nice to see you two. I hope the two of you are doing well after your run-in with the gang," our teacher said, he had the sense to keep the welcome speech short and to the point, "Thanks," Dime and I replied as we headed to our seats, "Ok, before we start the class, does anyone have any questions for Sapphire and Diamond?" our teacher asked, Dime and I looked at one another an
"Are you okay?" Dime asked as she scooted over to me and hugged me as I let my tears fall, "Why did I have to fall for him Dime?" I asked as I cried into her shoulder, "I don't know Saph, I ask myself that same question when I think about Tom," Dime replied as she hugged me tighter, "It's not fair that we had to fall for the people who caused us so much harm," I cried out, Dime held me tighter and let me cry my heart out while her own tears fell. By the time Dime and I were done crying the bell signaling lunch was over rang, "Ready for class?" Dime asked as she unwrapped her arms from me, "I guess," I responded, wiping my eyes of the leftover tears; Dime smiled and helped me stand up, "Let's just get through the rest of school and eat a lot of ice cream when we get home," Dime offered with a smile, I laughed and nodded in agreement, "Let's do that!" I shouted while laughing. Dime and I
Dime stumbled into the truck in time for me to throw the truck in reverse and watch the boys run and trip to get out of my way, knowing full well that I would hit them if they didn't move, "Saph, slow down," Dime begged as I sped out of the school parking lot, but I didn't slow down, I was so pissed with how today had gone that I let my anger fill me as I pushed the gas down further. "Saph," Dime said as she grabbed the door for support as the truck sped down the roads leading home, "Saph!" Dime shouted as we took a corner really fast, the truck seemed to have taken the corner on only two wheels, "What?!" I shouted back as I slammed on the breaks throwing Dime a look, "Don't yell at me! You were going to kill us! I understand that you are upset with how today went, but I would like to live to graduate high school," Dime growled out as she glared at me; I sent Dime an apologetic look as I realized how scared she looked a
7 years later "Dime, Saph!" Trish yelled from my room, "Coming!" Dime and I yelled back together as we ran to Trish. Trish laughed as Dime and I stumbled into my room, "These boxes are ready to go," Trish said as she suppressed her laughter, Dime and I nodded as we picked up the boxes Trish pointed to. "Are we actually moving out?" Dime asked as she set the two boxes she was carrying in the bed of the truck, "We are," I said to Dime, knowing she was just amazed by the fact that we were leaving our safe spot, "Come on girls there are more boxes up here!" Dave yelled from the stairs, "We are coming!" I yelled up to him. "Honestly, it's more surprising that we are moving into new houses without each other," I said to Dime as we climbed the stairs, "Well, we tried convening them to let the four of us move into one house, but those two are too stubborn," Dime grumbled a
Drew and Tom were standing in front of our door, "What do you want?" I asked them, getting really annoyed with their antics, "We just want to talk," Tom said as he looked to Dime, "Fine," Dime said as she grabbed Tom and walked to her room. "Can we talk as well?" Drew asks before I can go after Dime and Tom, "Fine, but you have to come to my room. I have to finish packing," I said as I walked away from him, "Sounds good to me," Drew said as he shut the door and jogged after me. We walked past Dime's room to see the door closed "Tch," I clicked my tongue as we passed by; she obviously didn't want me to hear what was being said. Drew entered the room behind me and closed my door, "Why did you close my door?" I asked as I snapped my head around to look at him, "So we can talk without interrupting Dime and Tom, and so you can't try to get rid of me," Drew said as he sm
Dime and I pulled into the apartment parking lot and waited for Dave and Trish. "How are you doing?" Dime asked me, "I'm fine," I answered as I kept an eye out for Dave and Trish, "Are you sure?" Dime asked as she looked at me with worried eyes, "Yes, I'm sure. Dime, even though we went through a lot today, we made big decisions and made it through the day even though there were a ton of obstacles," I answered as I smiled at her; Dime smiled back as Dave and Trish parked next to us, "Shall we?" I asked Dime, "We shall," Dime replied as she got out of the truck. Trish was in the kitchen cooking dinner, she kicked us out, yelling about how w
Trish and Dave grabbed Dime and me as they headed for the parking lot, "Meet you at the apartments?" Dave asked as we stopped in front of my truck, "Sounds good to me," Dime responded as she nodded in agreement, Dime was so ready to get off of the school grounds and go home, and I didn't blame her, "Yes please," I responded; Dave and Trish nodded before saying goodbye and walked to the car they came in. "Let's go, now," Dime said as she opened the passenger door to the truck, "I agree before anything else happens, let's get out of here," I agreed and went to open the driver's door when I was stopped by a hand grabbing the door handle. "We need to talk, Saph," a voice echoed in my ears as the person spoke from behind me, "Great, here we go again," I whispered to myself as I turned around to see the boys standing by my truck looking at Dime and me, Drew was the one who was stopping me fro
"Now without further ado, I hereby announce that this class has graduated!" Mr. Ben shouted with a huge proud smile on his face, then we, students, threw our caps into the air and shouted with happiness. I laughed as I watched my classmates hug one another, I watched as some even cried as they caught their falling caps, and I watched as many laughed and ran to their families in happiness; I looked to Dime and smiled, "Shall we go see 'our parents'," I asked as I nodded to the crowd leaving the bleachers, "We shall," Dime smiled, happy we actually had people to celebrate our graduation with. Dime and I ran towards the bleachers to see Dave and Trish, "Congra..." my mother started to say as she opened her arms for me to run to her and hug her, but I ran past her to Dave and Trish, "Dime!" Dime's mother shouted as she came running to us but we ignored her and ran into Dave and Trish's arms, "Congrats girls!" Dave and Trish
I walked up to my seat noticing my brothers were watching me as I walked up, "What do you want?" I asked as I sat down in my seat, "We just wanted to apologize and ask what your plans are after graduation," Brock said as I sat next to Grant, "I'm not listening to this right now, and I'm not telling you my plans for after graduation," I replied looking forward to the stage, where the teachers and principal were getting ready for the graduation. "Saph, please, we really are just trying to apologize for our past actions," Grant said as he turned to look at me, "I don't care right now I want to get graduation over with and get away from the two of you as fast as possible," I snarled out as I glared at my brothers, who looked away from my glare. "Saph," a voice called out from behind me, I turned to look who was calling my name and shook my head in frustration, "Enough, go away. The ceremony
Tom and Drew walked up to Dime and me with smiles on their faces, "Ready for graduation?" Tom asked as he checked out Dime, his eyes traveling down her body to take in her outfit and how hot she looked, "Oh trust me, we are so ready for graduation," I responded stepping in front of Dime to get Tom's eyes off of her, "Why do you say it like you're about to run away from here?" Drew asked as he checked me out, "Because we are, we are going to a college far from here," I admitted before realizing my mistake, "Ok, get out of our way so we can graduate and get out of here," I said as I grabbed Dime's arm and pulled her away from the boys. "Wait up!" Drew called after us and joined Dime and me as we walked towards the football field, "What do you want now?" I growled out as Tom stepped next to Dime and gave her a small smile, "We are just trying to have a conversation with you two and
Dime and I woke up feeling excited and refreshed, "Ready for Graduation?" Dime shouted from her room as she got out of bed, "Totally, you?" I shouted back as I entered the bathroom before Dime, "Totally, I'm ready to get out of here," Dime admitted as she threw open the door to the bathroom and joined me in it as I brushed my teeth, "However, I'm not ready to face the boys again as well as our entire school," Dime said as she stepped into the shower, "I agree, it's going to be horrible in that sense," I nodded as I washed my face at the sink, "Do you think our parents will show up?" Dime asked as she peeked her head from behind the bathroom curtain, "I'm not sure, I hope they don't," I answered before walking out of the bathroom and back to my room. I shoved on a white crop top before pulling up some red dress pants "Wait, won't your parents be there because of your brothe
Trish and the officer followed Dime and me into our apartment, "Goodness, your parents really did make a mess in your place," Trish said as she looked at the mess around her, "Yeah, sorry, it's usually cleaner than this," I said sheepishly as I rubbed the back of my neck in embarrassment, Trish shook her head and turned to look at me "Oh honey, I believe you. I can't believe your parents would do this," Trish said as she looked at Dime and me apologetically, "How about I start making some food and you guys can talk," Dime offered as she pointed towards the destroyed TV room, "Sounds good to me," Trish and the officer said as they headed towards the room and started picking stuff up. Trish and the officer helped clean up our apartment as they listened to me explain more about my past and listening to what had been happening in the past few months, "Wow, I can't believe that all happened," Trish said as she handed
