It was 8 in the evening and I was driving my car, with Sunshine in the passenger seat. We had a lot to talk about and the office building wasn't exactly the right place for that discussion so I invited her over for dinner.
I still couldn't believe Alice didn't remember anything about that night. It was so real, so unforgettable; but apparently, not for her. What did I think? She would wake up and blush and pick up where we had left the night before.
"What are you thinking?" Sunshine asked, breaking my chain of thoughts.
"Nothing much," I said, passing her a smile.
Once we reached my apartment, I unlocked the door with the spare keys and led her inside. "Don't mind these two weird creatures who just cuddle all day and eat snacks." I motioned towards Isaiah and Kylie busy watching another one of their chick flicks.
"Hello to you too, my dear friend," Isaiah said.
"Don't mind us, we will be in my bedroom," I said and led Sunshine through the lo
About fifteen minutes after witnessing the chaos in the coffee room, I was sitting at my desk, with an employee of mine named Ralp David sitting in front of me. His face was smeared with some blood and a whole lot of guilt.Outside my office, Stav was waiting for his turn while his girlfriend, Sunshine, nursed his injuries. As far as my mood was concerned, I was enraged. Never in the past four years had I witnessed a physical fight in my office. It was out of line and needed to be addressed properly otherwise it wouldn't be good for my reputation. With that thought in mind, I shut the file in my hand and focused all my attention on the bearded man sitting in front of me. "Care to explain?""We were talking casually and he started punching me out of nowhere, Miss Montelebalo," he responded."Stop lying, Mr. David. It won't get you anywhere. Why did my assistant punch you?" I asked, using my deadliest glare."I. . .""Don't bother lying
After procrastinating for not one, not two, but whole three hours after waking up, I finally left my mobile and hopped out of my bed. After brushing my teeth, I made my way out of my room to the lounge where Isaiah was busy doing some work."It's 4pm. Did you just wake up?" he asked. "Don't you have any work to do?""You're forgetting, I'm suspended for a week," I said and yawned loudly, stretching my limbs."What's this smell?" Isaiah contorted his nose and tried to identify the source of whatever smell that disturbed him. At the end, his eyes landed on me. "When did you shower last?""The day I went to office, maybe?" Shrugging, I picked up the bowl of dry fruits from in front of him and put a handful in my mouth."That was four days ago," he said in a disgusted voice."So? What's your point?" I asked."My point is that you stink. Go take a shower and do something productive. Maybe that's why Sunshine hasn't visited you for the last
Stav and I, we both were sitting across each other in one of the nicest restaurants of the city, waiting for Antonio Guerrero to arrive. It was Stav's first day back to office after his suspension and on his first day, I received the news that we were being sued for fraud by a local company we had a contract with. Right now, we were waiting to meet a lawyer that Patty had suggested to deal with this issue."Why couldn't we meet him in the office?" Stav asked impatiently."Because apparently, he is a very successful lawyer. We have to impress him if we want him to take our case. That explains the dinner," I said.He leaned back in his seat and ran his fingers through his messy hair. His stubble had grown a bit, giving him a more rugged look. The suit that he was wearing hugged him perfectly, bringing attention to his muscular arms and wide shoulders."Why? Is Sunshine waiting for you at home?" I asked and although I didn't intend to, my voice came out a li
I was trapped between my soft bed and a heavy chest, while a certain pair of lips were busy elevating me to bliss. It was dark in the room and I couldn't figure out what was happening or how we reached there, but even without the light, I knew to whom this scent belonged to.The soft lips formed a trail from my neck to my cleavage, making sure to leave a burning wherever they went. The knot in my stomach tightened until I was panting with need and desire. The throbbing in my nether regions was making my thoughts jumble."Fuck," I groaned when Stav's lips nibbled on my breast."Patience, boss." His deep voice reverberated through my body and sent a delicious shiver down my spine while his calloused hands teased the inside of my thighs and each little touch edged me closer to exploding."Oh," I stifled my moan as I tried to grind my pelvis against him to relieve the aching."Not so fast." He stilled me by placing his leg in between mine while his ton
Butterflies. Some really angry butterflies. That was the only way to describe the situation in my stomach right now.I was doing everything in my power to not rip apart her clothes and take her right there. But Alice wasn't making it any easier with her hands skimming over my back and the urgency in her kiss. Our mouths were literally sucking the soul out of each other, because nothing else would describe the hunger and desire with which we were kissing each other.I knew my reasons. As much as I hated to admit it, I had wanted her for quite some time and now that she was trapped between my chest and the cold mirror, I couldn't control myself. But why was Alice, of all people, discovering my mouth so eagerly and tightening her legs around my torso? My curiosity could wait but my hunger couldn't.Leaving her mouth, I traced a path down to her neck and she sucked a sharp breath. She smelled like a tempting seductress and she certainly moaned like one
Once I returned to my office from the warehouse, I found out that our new lawyer, Mr. Donovan had been waiting for me for quite some time. Stav could have called me but he chose to make him wait, not that I was complaining. The guy had a huge ego and he could use some time to ponder over his behaviour."You needed to talk to me about the trial?" I asked once I settled on my seat behind my desk."Yeah, that too." He leaned in the visitor's chair, tapping his feet on the marbled floor. "I thought we could discuss this over a cup of coffee. I am feeling a little drowsy.""I'll ask Stav to send coffee for you," I said."I was thinking of something a little more cosy." He smirked again."Mr. Donovan, I don't know if you are aware of my reputation but I am not one to mix business with pleasure," I replied as a matter of fact."I don't know if you are aware of my reputation but I am not one to drag a trial. The business between us will be over in a
And then came the day of the trial. And just like Antonio had said, we had nothing to worry about. If I had any doubt about his skills as a lawyer, they got cleared up within the first twenty minutes of the trial and by the time we left the courtroom, I was thoroughly impressed.Same couldn't be said about Stav as he walked by my side to the parking lot. He had an unimpressed scowl on his face, as if he had a stick somewhere deep in his ass."Miss Montelebalo?" I heard Antonio's voice and I stopped in my tracks."Mr. Donovan." I raised my eyebrows. Stav walked forwards, leaving me alone with him."I think you owe me a dinner." He smiled, showing me his pearly white teeth."Do I?" I cocked my head to the side.He nodded sheepishly. "That's the least you can do," he said."I suppose..." I took a deep breath. "I can spare you an evening.""I'll consider myself a lucky person if you do that." He smiled."Tonight, 8pm. See yo
Sweat drops blinded my vision and my lungs struggled against my chest. I had started the treadmill from 6mph, and gradually increased it to the maximum until all I could feel was the harsh beating of my heart. Anything I could do to distract me from the thing that was killing me."Hey, Stav!" Isaiah's girlfriend, Kylie's head peeked through the door. I almost stumbled forwards and cracked my head. Hopping off the treadmill, I leaned against the wall and took some deep breaths to calm my racing heart."What?" I asked, wiping the sweat with the towel."You didn't come for dinner. We had saved you some pasta," she replied."I am not hungry," I said, still gasping."Are you okay?" she asked, stepping closer to me."Of course I am okay," I said almost instantly."It's just that, you look stressed," she said, her almond eyes observing my face keenly."I am not stressed. Why would I be stressed when everybody is happy and having the t
