Liam shook his head and, refusing to waste any more of his time dealing with her, turned to leave. He refused to engage with her anymore since any effort to talk sense into her was futile. Nevaeh grew up in a prestigious family and never took no for an answer.

The sight of Liam's retreating figure outraged her even more. She leaped to her feet, still clutching the part of her bum that hit the ground and was now throbbing excruciatingly, and snarled through gritted teeth, "Liam Cole! I'm going to get back to you for this! Just you wait! I'm going to arrest you myself!"

All of a sudden, she noticed that the crowd of onlookers that gathered around her got thicker, and she screamed, "What are you all looking at? Do you want to get arrested too?"

Then, she limped her way through the crowd, crawled back into her car, and peeled off.

Liam, on the other hand, let out a sigh of relief when he realized Nevaeh did not follow him.
