"You…" Cheryl stammered, feeling both angry and frightened at the same time. Her hand dangled awkwardly in the air between them, so in order to save face, she pointed a manicured finger at Liam instead. "Don't get ahead of yourself, Liam. Do you honestly think Celena would leave us? Have you forgotten how desperate she was to return to us?"

She could not resist scoffing before continuing, "She always comes running as soon as my father and grandfather play nice to her. She can never stray too far from us because she's just a spineless little b*tch who's desperate for approval.
