The pain was truly excruciating!

Liam had broken at least three of his ribs and shattered his breastbone entirely. This, combined with the searing pain in his arm from where Liam had stabbed him, made him wish longingly for death as an escape.

Liam released the man, letting his body crumple to the ground limply, then stepped a foot against his chest and snarled, "Where did you take my wife?"
