CHAPTER 4- Confession

QUINLEE'S POV

After I told Cody everything and when he recovered from what he heard,

"What !? That's why, I understand now." he replied and I saw him clench his fist. 

He hugged me to calm me down, a few minutes passed and Cody's face became gentle while looking at me.

"Sssshhh! You know Quin? I wasn't hurt because you didn't tell me right away, I understand you." he added. 

I looked him in the eye and so did he.

"Do you know why I'm hurting?" He asked and he smiled bitterly. 

"Because I can't do anything in the situation you're going through right now, it's just painful to think that I'm a worthless bestfriend, right? And I've realized something, I've realize now that you belong to someone else, and you can't be mine anymore. I'm so annoyed with myself because I consider you more than just a bestfriend. " He said so I was surprised from what I heard.

"I love you Quin, I love you so much." He added and he hugged me very tightly. 

I could feel the speed of his heartbeat and I knew he was crying as we hugged. I didn't know what I could do to at least alleviate the pain Cody was feeling right now so I hugged him very tightly and said 

"That's enough Cody, Please." 

and me? I don't know what I can do and feel from what I know right now, it's like my chest and brain are going to explode, I'm hurting, when will my suffering end? 

Cody was the first to let go of the hug but he was still crying tears in front of me and I just stared at him. 

I hate myself, why does everyone close to me get hurt also? What do I have? Why I am so unfortunate? question in my mind.

"Cody, enough please? I also don't know what could I feel when you confess to me but you know that I love you very much as my best friend, don't you?" I told him and He looked at me with a question look.

"Can't you love me more than a friend Quin?" 

"Cody you cannot teach the heart, only the heart knows who it likes and whom it will love." I replied and I smiled at him with a sweet smile. 

"It's not hard to love you Cody because you're kind, handsome, rich, smart, naughty, sweet, caring and you're really an ideal guy." I added.

--"But 'as I said, You cannot teach the heart because it will love on its own. Listen ... I love you as my best friend Cody but if you ask me if I love you more than a friend, I can't answer that. " I said seriously. 

"You're talking harshly and it's hurting me, Are you rejecting me Quin? Do you want me to sulk? Huh?" He asked me and then smiled.

I ruffled his hair and then smiled at him. "Do you know what bestfriend? You're dramatic, isn't it? I didn't know that you were hiding something flirty in your body." I laughed, He just glared at me and then pout.

"It's okay, I'll wait Quin, I'll wait for you to love me too, not as a friend but more than a friend." he said and he smiled, his smile is not the same as before, his smile now is a genuine smile. 

I smiled too and messed up Cody's hair again.

"Eheemmmm!" 

I heard a sound and I saw Zik the attention seeker guy behind us. Tsk, 

I thought to formally introduce Zik to Cody and Cody to Zik. 

"Zik! You're already here, I want to formally introduce you to my handsome bestfriend, hehe! Zik he is Cody, my bestfriend. He is my Childhood friend and he became my best friend." My introduction.

 Zik just nodded and he just looked at Cody with a bored look. Tsk 

"Cody, He is Zik Ford --- the --- ah --- eh --- ah-- the one I married." I stuttered and smiled.

The two of them just stared at each other as if they were talking using only their mind. Tsk, so I immediately cut the tension between the two of them.

"Ah --- eh? Cody we're leaving because it's late, I'm sorry for bothering you earlier hehe, and thank you for hearing my side Cody." I added. 

"It's okay, go ahead and take care of yourself Quin." he replied and then he looked badly at Zik. 

"And you, You should take care of Quinlee, don't take her for granted, treat her good even the arrange marriage doesn't make any sense, Quin is rude but she's kind and don't hurt her because I'm not a good enemy when something bad happens to my bestfriend. "Cody said and he looked at Zik with a death glare.

"Tss, I know." Zik replied to Cody and he also looked at him badly.

I said goodbye and Cody just nodded then we left.

***FORD'S RESIDENCE***

ZIK'S POV

"He really loves her huh? Cody Huston, Lee's Bestfriend. Tss." 

While having a cold shower, I remember Yumi my childhood bestfriend. She means so much to me, I can't imagine how stupid I am to forget about my own happiness just for the sake of her.

I miss her.

QUINLEE'S POV 

As I entered the room from the living room my eyes widened at what I saw. 

O____O

Zik...

He was naked and he's only wearing a brief while facing at me.

Son of a big Hotdog! Waaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh !!!!!! Dickhead!!!!!!!" 

"The F*ck! Get the hell out of here! Now!" startled, he shouted.

I hurried out of the room and I felt the heat burning all over my body, and I felt all my blood rush to my face.

"That naughty Zik! Does he know nothing on how use a Towel !? Aissh!"

 *After few minutes*

 I'm in the kitchen now, I can't forget what I saw earlier. Tsk! 

"Oh my gosh Quinlee, Calm down." I whispered to myself. 

With the kitchen door open, I could clearly see the stairs to our bedroom, I immediately looked up at the man as he is coming down the stairs from the bedroom, he was looking at me so I suddenly averted my eyes and pouted.

"Just calm down, Quinlee..." I talked to myself. 

When I glanced at him I was suddenly nervous because the house is spacious and big but I did not know why he was going in my direction.

Hays! 

"Hey ?!" Zik called while looking at me foolishly. 

"P*tek! Aissh!" I reacted and stared at him. 

"Why ?!" I asked irritatingly

"Why you didn't knock the door before getting inside the room?" he asked as he took the Juice out of the Refrigerator. 

"Why? Do I still need to knock? Eh, the door isn't locked! And it's my room too!" I answered.

 *Chuckles* "I see." 

"And then can you? Next time if you're naked and you want to get dressed, There's nothing wrong to use a towel and lock the door! Right?!" I added. 

"Can you accept my apology?

* Chuckles * 

--cause I'm not used to lock the door before." Zik replied while still looking at me foolishly. 

"Ahh !? Is that so ?!" My sarcastic question. 

"Eh? Starting today, You must have a right manners because you're not the only one living in this house anymore!" I shouted and I rolled my eyes on him.

"Pffffffft! Yeah, I will Haha." 

"And why are you laughing !? Ha ?! and you're making fun of me !? Ha ?!" I asked as I crossed my arms and raised an eyebrow at him. 

"Nope, let's eat?" He ask and smiled.

 I didn't look at him anymore and just ignored him then I sat in front of him and started eating and so did he.

 *After 2 hours* 

I'm here in the bedroom now, I'm thinking about how I can sleep, because earlier after we ate with that irritating guy, I decided to take a walk in our house "Our" said our parents, Psh! to this day I still can't quite figure out why I ever ended up in this situation. *Pout* 

*** FLASHBACK ***

 As I walked inside the house I couldn't help but be amazed by the designs and bright colors of the chandeliers hanging from the ceiling, I also noticed the glass windows that even surpassed the diamond if they shone, It's beautiful. As I walked I came across a garden, beautifully landscaped and its flowers. The beautiful colors of the flowers are comforting because even at night its beauty is obvious because I feel like I am inside in a beautiful big aquarium surrounded by light.

After in the garden, I went to the other side of the house, I saw a swimming pool, it was not that big but it was beautiful. It's tempting me to take a bath, I can even try to take a bath here. I thought and I smiled to myself but it also disappeared immediately and was replaced by a bitter smile on my lips when I remember mom. 

When I was a child we had a family vacation, with mom and dad, we went to a famous resort, One night while I was dipping my feet in the water of the swimming pool mom suddenly came and said, "Do you want to learn to swim Quinlee my daughter?" She asked and smiled.

"Yes mommy!" I answered actively.

"Don't worry you'll learn how to swim too because your dad will teach you." She said and smiled.

"Do you know? I met your dad because of the swimming pool? Hehe, because I almost drowned in swimming with my female classmates but when I thought I was going to die because I couldn't breathe and it seemed like no hope to get up, but there is someone who pulled and saved me and he's your dad." She smiled while telling me a story.

 "And that's where the love story of your dad and mom began." She added. 

"And you my daughter, when you grow up , I hope that you could also find a man who will save you, a man who will make you happy even if you are overwhelmed with problems, because sometimes in life you will come to the point where you are having a hard time, many trials will come so I want you to be strong and I want to tell you that one day when you grow up you will find a man who will love you and give you hope, hope to live and be happy. " Mommy said smiling as she stroked my hair so I smiled and I was happy with what mom said. 

"Let's go inside my daughter? Because it's cold here." She said and I nodded.

Mom and I entered the hotel room where we were staying at a resort, when mommy opened the door we saw dad with a beautiful woman, I was also surprised by what I saw. 

"What's the meaning of this Yu?! Why she's here!? I thought you ended your relationship with that woman !?" You're shameless! You really don't choose a place to flirt!? "Mommy shouted angrily and then started crying.

it happens so fast, Daddy got a strong slap from mom.

"You're not ashamed of your daughter! I don't want to be with you anymore Yu, I'm Tired. I can't take it anymore and I thought you can make me happy! But what now !? You're still flirting with your ex Miranda ?!

 You are a pig! * smirk * Thank you for everything Yu, I hope you're happy! " Mommy said angrily while crying.

 "Happy ?!" he asked dad sarcastically. 

"Wait! Quil! Let me Explain!" Daddy shouted but mom took one of my hand and hurried to walk. I was just crying. 

"Mommy? Huhu! Where are we going?" I called mom but she didn't answer me. 

The car started moving very fast and I can no longer remember what happened after we had the accident.

 "Mommy !!!!" I shouted.

I woke up and I was here in a white room.

 "Your mommy is dead." I heard daddy's voice so I diverted my eyes to him.

 "What ?! No daddy! I was just with mommy earlier!" I answered and I started to cry. 

"She died because of an accident, I'm so disappointed in you Quinlee, you didn't do anything to comfort your mother so she burst out in anger and let her own emotions destroy herself and now she's gone." He said.

Dad turned his back on me and I just cried after he said those words, since that day dad has not treated me well, whenever he talks to me like I simply said that I wanted him to teach me how to swim because mom said that daddy saved her from drowning before but he suddenly got angry and scolding me. He is saying a lot of hurtful words and since that day I have lived with thirst for love and care from a father and I am hopeless to change the course of my life because dad completely ruined my life. I smiled bitterly. 

"I hope you're just here mommy." I whispered.

"Why you're still here?" I heard an irritating voice and I turned to him and then glared. 

"What do you care?" I answered and averted my eyes. 

"It's late and it's cold outside, You better get inside and sleep." he said.

"I'm not a kid anymore so you can't tell me what to do." I answered annoyingly and stood up then started walking back inside the house. 

I just turned my back on the him and he didn't answer again. As I walked I felt like he was just following me.

I accelerated my walk to the bedroom when I came across a part of the house that also has a door, Something suddenly lit up in my mind. 

"Maybe there are other rooms here in the house, it's impossible if it's nothing. This house ang quite big Tsk." I whispered to myself.

Just as I was about to turn the door knob to find out if I could make it my own room, someone suddenly spoke behind me. 

"It's locked, we don't have the keys and even if we will force to try and unlock it we couldn't because it has a password, It's different from an ordinary door. My father and your dad did a great job for us to be in one room to sleep with. " The attention seeker said seriously and looked blankly at me. 

Right after he said that, I felt my cheeks turning red and the speed of my heartbeat is going crazy. 

What's happening to me? I asked at the back of my mind.

But I did not let him know what I felt. 

"Ahm ... Is that so? Ah --- eh? I'll just sleep in the living room." I stammered in response to him. 

"Our living room and all parts of this house has a CCTV that are connected to our father's desktop, they monitor us everytime, day and night. That's how insane they are." He said while looking at me blankly.

 "What !? I don't think that's possible! What do you mean? even in our room? There's also a CCTV ?!" I asked out loud. 

"No, They can see us here and every part of this house but except in our room." He said coldly and he turned away. 

I was left gaping and unable to believe what he said. 

"Hays! Darn life!" I whispered as I tugged at my own hair.

 The question again, how can I sleep with that thought ? Psh!
