Chapter 10 Coming Back

In room 701, Li Mu continued to smoke and monitor the parking lot.

About forty minutes later, there was a knock on the door and He Xiaoyu yelled outside, "Open the door. It's me!"

Li Mu ran over and opened the door. He immediately ran to the window to continue his surveillance, not waiting for He Xiaoyu to come in.

He Xiaoyu walked into the room, closed the door, turned on the exhaust fan and said with a frown, "You need to smoke less. You're almost invisible in such a smoky room."

"Charge my phone!" said Li Mu.

He dumped his phone on the bed and continued to stare at the car park.

He Xiaoyu charged his phone, walked over to him and asked, "What are you looking at?"

"They were driving Lin Wan's car and I was waiting for her."

"Are you sure they will come?"

"Not sure, but what I can ensure is that she was out all night yesterday, staying with a man here."

"They stayed here yesterday, but it doesn't mean they'll come today. I'm afraid it's not a good idea for you to wait like this."

Li Mu froze and thought, "Yes, He Xiaoyu is right. Isn't it a bit impulsive for me to do this?"

"And what if they go to your house?"

He Xiaoyu also peered down. She looked for a moment and reached out to tug on Li Mu's arm.

"I've brought you some food. Go and have something to eat while I spy for you!"

"I'm not hungry and I'm not in the mood to eat. Just leave me alone. "

"No way. You haven't eaten all day, have you? Torturing yourself when it comes to things like this is not the way to go. Go and have something to eat. It's won’t take you much time."

The two argued for a while. Li Mu finally took her suggestion since he was unable to persuade her.

He Xiaoyu sat on Li Mu's seat and said without looking back, "Everything is in my bag. Go and take a shower after you eat. You stink so much."

Li Mu ate and showered quickly. He then returned to the window.

The two monitored the car park together. Unknowingly, it was already 8 p.m. He Xiaoyu yawned and reached out to knock Li Mu’s head.

"Bro, stop waiting. They won't come today. Let's go home and see!"

Li Mu felt a little frustrated but he also thought that there was no point continuing to wait. No one could eat for more than three hours. They couldn’t be that gluttonous.

Li Mu was just about to follow He Xiaoyu's advice when he suddenly saw a car driving into the car park. It was dark at the moment and the color of the bodywork could not be seen clearly from a distance.

By the time the car passed the street light, Li Mu finally saw its color. A red car. It was Lin Wan's car.

"No need to go home. They're back!"

He Xiaoyu also spotted the car and hurriedly took her mobile phone to record.

The car stopped in the parking space and the young man got out of the car with Lin Wan. They walked towards the hotel lobby, talking and laughing.

"Shame on her!" He Xiaoyu cursed in a low voice.

Li Mu shook his head with a bitter smile. He sighed heavily and walked quickly to the door, looking out through the peephole.
