Juelz's heart was a chaotic mess of emotions as he saw Jonathan walk off. It felt as though his heart were viciously torn to pieces. The pain was so unbearable, he couldn't sit still.

He pulled away from the quilt that was covering him, rolled out of bed, grabbed his car keys, and headed for the door.

He had only taken two steps before he was stopped by Germaine.

"Germaine, get out of my way. I am going to the Sherman family mansion to ask Yezoo for an explanation." Juelz's face was extremely pale, and his eyes looked blank.

Dorothy was very likely to be his cousin, this came as a huge shock to him.

"I don't believe it! How can I believe it? The night hasn't even ended, how could Dory suddenly be my cousin?"

"What's even more outrageous is that Ysabelle, that shameless woman, is her biological mother!"

"She is the one person I revile the most in my life. She's the f*cking b*tch that tore the Sherman family apart and left us in ruins!"

Inside their inconspicuous luxury car. The old butler was driving, while Ysabelle and Yezoo were seated at the back. The two of them were silent on the ride over. "Ysabelle, for all these years, I've felt terrible for not being there for her. She is our only child. I thought that we would have to live with this pain for the rest of our lives! I never imagined that our daughter would return. Now she's 29 years old and healthy." Yezoo watched the scenery outside the car window. His mouth was agape and his fists were clenched. His breathing was short and quick, he was clearly very anxious and couldn't keep calm. Just a month ago, he noticed a very recognizable birthmark on Dorothy in a video. Back then, he had his suspicions and secretly ordered his subordinates to find out more about Dorothy's background. As he searched for more information, Yezoo's heart grew more and more turbulent. He had a feeling that Dorothy really was his daughter, and that feeling gr

Inside the hospital ward. Dorothy was still lying on the bed motionless and was as pale as paper. She had been unconscious for over sixteen hours. Credence pushed himself on the wheelchair back towards the bed. He lifted the blanket and took a look at Dorothy's body. He noticed that her feet were swelling up again, and moved to massage them. Credence moved his wheelchair towards Dorothy's feet. He helped her take off her socks and he rolled up her pants. Then, he reached out and gently held her right foot, and began to carefully massage it inch by inch. "Honey, am I using enough strength? Does it hurt when I massage your legs like this? Are you comfortable?" He must have tickled her as he massaged her leg, as her toes had curled up even though she was unconscious. She seemed so tender. When Credence held her leg in his hands, her skin felt as smooth as cream. He gulped and felt his throat tighten. When he thought back on the times where h

In the regular ward. Ysabelle walked towards Leilani with an extremely glum face. "Isn't Dorothy your daughter? Why are people suddenly saying she's mine? Leilani, what the hell are you up to?" "Ysabelle, what do you mean by that? Do you think I'm the one behind all this? If I told you I didn't want anything to do with this, would you believe me?" Ysabelle's question infuriated Leilani. She reached out and grabbed Ysabelle's arms, glared at her, and hissed, "I had nothing to do with this. This is all Credence's fault. I don't know how he got the idea, he even showed me a blood test report. He accused me of not being Dorothy's biological mother. Bah! I was pregnant with her for ten months. How could his claim be possible?" "What's more ridiculous is that he told me that you were Dorothy's biological mother. Isn't that ridiculous? I gave birth to Dory, she is my daughter. Do you think I wouldn't recognize my own daughter?" Leilani screamed from the bottom of

"It's me. What is it?" Credence answered the phone, he sounded a little hoarse as he did. On the other end of the line, Victor was elated and didn't notice it. He was so happy it was as though he had won the lottery. "Mr. Scott, I have finally made a breakthrough! I am so happy right now. I have just finished sorting out some new information, much of them are about your father's entanglements with Ysabelle. This is very important, for security reasons, I hope to send it to you personally." "By the way, Mr. Scott, where are you right now?" "I am on the fourth floor of the hospital in Eastlake Road!" Credence frowned, he took a moment to consider telling him his exact whereabouts and decided it was best to. "Great, I'm nearby, I'll be right over. Give me about 40 minutes." Credence hung up the phone. He looked up and saw Marvin's inquiring face. He frowned deeply and said, "Victor's dug up some new information about my father and Madam Chilton. He'll s

When Credence wheeled himself back to the ward on his wheelchair, he had already calmed down. He was calmer than still water. Even the bloodshot redness in his eyes gradually dissipated. To him, it didn't matter if he was in a complicated situation, nothing was more important than Dorothy and Belle. After all, they were the ones he truly loved the most in his life. Apart from compromising, what else could he do? Besides, the ones who should atone for their sins were Ysabelle and his father, who accidentally killed his mother. It had nothing to do with Dorothy. She couldn't choose her parents, neither could he, she was the most innocent one out of everybody. Credence lied to himself over and over again, and his pain slowly eased. He clutched Dorothy's hand in silence and held it firmly in his palm. A trace of irrepressible pain slipped across the corners of his eyes as he murmured in a soft voice, "Honey, I know very well that the actions of the

In the corridor. Jeremy took the cigar from his thin lips and casually looked over at Yezoo's excited face. He raised his eyebrows and chuckled, "Uncle Yezoo, what are you looking at? What's gotten you so riled up?" Yezoo said, "Jeremy, you're here." After saying that, Yezoo's gentle face had a look of ecstasy on it. He happily shook the blood test report in his hand. "I have incredible news, my daughter... yes, my daughter, she didn't die 29 years ago. She's still alive and well. I am ecstatic! Your mother and I have no more regrets!." Jeremy glanced towards Ysabelle, who was standing next to Yezoo, and stared at her. He blew out a mouthful of smoke, narrowed his eyes, and asked, "Mrs. Sherman, no regrets in your life. Is that really what's on your mind?" "I... I agree with what Yezoo is saying." Ysabelle could barely force out a smile to respond. Jeremy spat out another thick cloud of smoke at Ysabelle, and her heart skipped a beat. She clenched he

Inside the ward. Dorothy hadn't fully woken up from her coma yet. The cramp in her abdomen was getting seriously painful. More importantly, she hadn't eaten or had anything to drink for nearly 24 hours. Her stomach was empty and she was very hungry, which led to her entire body twitching uncontrollably. Her stomachache was also affecting the baby in her womb. While the baby was usually quiet, now it was flailing and kicking about in Dorothy's belly. The pain she felt made her groan hard. "Oof..." She hadn't opened her eyes and her entire face was covered in sweat. It was soaked all over her forehead and scalp, strands of hair stuck onto her face, and it made her pale face look even more so. "Honey, does your stomach hurt?" Credence immediately brought his head down and reached out to massage the sides of her abdomen. He didn't massage her too rough or too lightly, but just right. It was probably because the baby felt some comfort from his fathe

The female doctor hurried over. A large group of people followed behind, including Jonathan, Belle, and Yezoo. The female doctor looked at Dorothy's twitching body, and quickly found the crux of the problem due to her many years of experience. She frowned. "Mrs. Scott, you are very weak right now. Don't overexert yourself. Your mood swings are too strenuous on you, and that will only affect the child in your body. That's right, relax, don't push yourself..." Before the doctor could finish talking, a growl of hunger suddenly erupted from Dorothy's stomach. It wasn't very loud, but it was enough for Dorothy to feel embarrassed. So many people were watching her. She was so ashamed that she turned her head away to avoid looking at them. Once the doctor had collected herself, she smiled having understood the situation, and then explained it to Credence. "Mr. Scott, don't worry, this is a good thing. It means that Mrs. Scott is just quite hungry, which is causing her

Dorothy and the group didn't buy plane tickets. Instead, Credence used his insane wealth to charter a private jet for them to fly straight to Monticello. Ten hours later, Dorothy and the others arrived at a warm city in the south of Monticello from Talco City, where the north wind whistled past. When she got off the plane, Dorothy felt dizzy. Credence held her in his arms as he gently guided her forward. When she turned around, he saw Yezoo's kind smile, as well as Ysabelle's cold, fake smile. Dorothy suddenly felt uneasey. She lowered her head, pulled back her hair that was hanging from her ear, and asked Credence, "If we really expose her true intentions, do you... do you think that my father... wouldn't be able to accept it?" After getting along with each other for the past few weeks, Dorothy could tell that Yezoo really loved Ysabelle wholeheartedly. He didn't detest her for having worked in nightclubs before this. She concluded that Yezoo was very att

Dorothy looked at Ysabelle, who was standing by the door. She had a bad feeling. She felt that Ysabelle gave off a different vibe compared to Yezoo's kindness. This seemingly noble lady may be her biological mother, but she still felt that something was off about her for some reason. Credence noticed that Dorothy's expression had suddenly soured. He followed her gaze and saw Ysabelle standing with a group of ladies. He immediately pushed the wheelchair to the door and spoke politely but in a somewhat distant manner, "Ysabelle, how long have you been there?" "Not long! Credence, as you can see, Yezoo has hired these nannies for Dorothy. I'm here to see if you need anything else." Ysabelle smiled. The smile on her face was somewhat ambiguous. "I have already arranged for some other people to take care of my wife!" Credence frowned and continued, "However, I've yet to call them over for the time being because Dorothy is still weak." "Well, since you 've already arr

Dorothy recognized this woman who had a sexy body and a pleasant face. She had a good impression of Minnie. She heard Credence mention her a few times from time to time. It seemed like Jonathan was pursuing her. She didn't know how that was going. However, seeing as Jonathan liked to tease Minnie and call her names, she guessed he had little to no chance of winning her over at all. Dorothy slowly turned her head and looked outside the door. She said softly, "I'm fine. I don't need your help right now. My child was only three pounds heavy when he was born. I want to know how he's doing now, and my daughter as well. Her name is Belle. Yesterday, she had a bone marrow transplant operation. The doctor told me that the operation was successful, but I fainted after giving birth to my baby. I don't know how my daughter is doing." Minnie hadn't slept all night. Not only was she looking after Dorothy, she had a hunch that Dorothy would ask these questions right after she woke

Jonathan had a hunch about what was going on. He had been following Credence closely. He stared at Credence's every move with his burning eyes, waiting for the first sign of his weakening. The special drug from Monticello that had been injected into him would last for five hours at most. Credence's body was strong enough to hold on until now. He was able to last for the full five hours. At that moment, Jonathan saw Credence's hands slowly let go of the bed's railings. He was falling backward, Jonathan quickly ran towards him like a gust of wind. He frowned and supported Credence's back. "Credence, hold on, you need to hold on! You mustn't be a cause of concern right now. Dorothy has just given birth. She's so weak that a gust of wind is enough to make her collapse. If she still needs to worry about you, how long do you think she'll last?" The moment he made contact with Credence, Jonathan keenly examined his hands. Credence's muscles and bones seemed to be falling apa

"What's the matter? Why isn't the baby crying?" Dorothy's voice was hoarse, and she looked very worried. She remembered when Belle was born, she wasn't as quiet as this. Her cries were so loud it almost caused the delivery room to collapse. When they heard her loud cries, almost everyone assumed that Belle was a naughty little boy. Instead, she was an adorable and naughty girl. Perhaps she had suffered too much pain and torment when she divorced Credence, and all that despair had affected her in the womb. As a result, when Belle was born, her body was in a poor condition, and she often had to go to the hospital for medicine and infusions. Later, she was diagnosed with leukemia. Fortunately, in the end, Jeremy was kind enough to hand Rosalie, who had matching bone marrow to Belle's, over to them so that they could save her life. Dorothy was elated at the thought that Belle was going to recover. Since Belle's illness could be cured, this little b

Inside the delivery room, Dorothy was given an anesthetic. However, she didn't know whether it was because her nerves were too thick or if the anesthetic didn't have much of an effect on her body. She was still very conscious, and she could very clearly feel the pain. Her stomach felt heavy and was in extreme pain. She felt as though the injection was given to someone else and not her. After struggling for over an hour, she was in so much pain that she had almost turned mad, her mind was in a chaotic state. Her face was as pale as a piece of paper, and she was lying on the delivery bed with sweat all over her body. Her breathing was weak. Sometimes she could breathe properly, sometimes it was difficult. The smell of blood lingered in the air. The attending female doctor continued to cheer her on, "Mrs. Scott, the child hasn't come out yet. Hold on, hold on for a little while longer." Dorothy nodded. As soon as she responded, she suddenly felt her stomach b

When she saw a familiar man rushing inside, Dorothy, who was sweating profusely, and was in so much pain that her vision had gone blurry, thought that she was dreaming. Her pale lips trembled greatly, and her eyes were dull as she looked straight ahead. "Credence, why, why are you here? Your injuries..." Before she fainted, she clearly remembered hearing Jonathan shouting loudly at him, telling him that his body was on the verge of collapse. Where was his wheelchair? Why wasn't anyone helping him push his wheelchair in? He should have gone back to his wheelchair, but why was he suddenly standing in front of her again with such a straight and domineering posture? Dorothy's heart became anxious. She was worried about Credence's body, as well as the child in her womb. Her face turned extremely pale as if she had been thrown into an ice cellar. Her entire body was cold. She was wrapped in two thick quilts as she dealt with the immense pain and shivering cold. The te

Credence raised his hand and massaged his stiff neck. He held that posture for a long time as he stared at the white wall that was connected to the delivery room. His neck was as stiff as a board. It felt numb, sore, and was quite painful. But the pain was nothing to him. He could tolerate it. But on this day, the strain from the gruesome rehabilitation training had begun to spread from his arms to his thighs, torso, and gradually, his entire body. It felt like his muscles were being stabbed with a knife. It was so painful that he, a man who used to train in the special forces, almost couldn't bear it. It was especially painful now that he was standing firmly beside Dorothy as they waited for Belle's bone marrow transplant surgery to end. At 6:30 in the morning, he forced Jonathan to inject him with a stimulant. It was an extremely strong one that could revert his body back to a normal state for a short period of time. However, there were certain rules to

Germaine grabbed the frame of the door and slowly walked out of the toilet. Her face was pale and her body was covered in a cold sweat. She looked like she had just stepped out of a swimming pool. She was wet and sticky all over. During the past month, she had been so worried about Dorothy and Belle's health. She hadn't eaten or slept well for several days, which caused her to have stomach pain and constipation. Every time she went to the toilet, she would be constipated for over half an hour. She tried out all kinds of solutions such as holding her breath, which nearly cost her life. A while ago, while she was waiting outside Belle's operating room, she felt unbearable pain in her stomach and rushed to the bathroom. After over half an hour of torment, she was finally done. Just as she was about to pull up her trousers and leave, she heard someone walk in with high-heels. Then, the woman who walked in closed the door and made a phone call. As soon as the woman s
