Xander's POV

“I am coming,” I said to my beta over the mind-link.

The way Tania was tightly clinging to me was downright disgusting for my wolf. I wanted to angrily tear her apart for what she did to me but I held back because I wanted to see how far Tania would go.

I broke free from the hug, and said, “You will get the money, Tania. Now you should leave.”

But Tania held my bicep.

Raising her crestfallen face with fake tears, she purred, “Can't you stay with me for longer, Xander? I need you.”

Obviously not!

I immediately parted her fingers from my bicep and said, “I will see you tomorrow, Tania.”

I passed an indirect taunt at her, “It's not that you need me, Tania. Your father needs you.”

Without passing another glance at her, I got out of the car and walked my way to my mansion's entrance, leaving Tania behind.

The moment I got into the living room, Benjamin walked up to me and said, his voice low, “Didn't you get late, My Alpha?”
