After everyone left in the evening, Kook and Katherine did too. They decided to get a hotel room for the rest of the visit here. Cayne just had to wait for his family to come and he would introduce them to Jilly’s family.

“How are your legs?” They were laying down on the bed trying to relax after the long tiring day. Thankfully, Grace was fast asleep in her room. Cayne suddenly sat up and moved closer to the end of the bed. He started to massage her legs softly as they keep the conversation going. He loved moments like this which they barely did back then. Small talks and late-night and even pillow talk, he always looked forward to them.

“Do you know the way around here now?” Jilly asked as they had lived here for a few weeks now and Cayne was the one who go here and there to get something for the household, he barely go out either if Marco didn’t ask him to. They both got along pretty well and she was glad for that.

“Should we go to the store together with Grace?” Cayne asked Jilly as he was getting ready to go out to get groceries just like what she had asked him. “We can go to the park after that.” He continued to persuade her. It would be good not only for Jilly but also Grace to come out of the house to refresh their eyes. He always thought it was nice to go out as a family like he saw on the street whenever he went out.“No,” she refused almost immediately.“Why? Not even for Grace?” He looked at her hopefully.“Don’t even try to lure me with Grace.” She glared at him which shut him up right away.“Just this once, Jilly. I want to be able to go out with my family, you and Grace. I always e

“What was that?” Cayne asked but his eyes keep an eye on Vincent who walked away mysteriously. “Nothing, let’s go and hurry up.” The cold demeanor change in her was very noticeable and the way her eyes hardened was proof that something Vincent said disturbed her. She started walking first not minding Cayne’s curious eyes. She walked in hurry and almost skip using the crutches like she was walking normally. She didn’t care, all she cared about was getting to Marcus’ house right after this shopping was done. “Walk slowly, Jilly. It will hurt your legs.” But his words went out as fast as they went in, it passed like the wind and leave no trace. Jilly took the lead and put the groceries she needed in the cart without talking to him anymore. Cayne was more careful now and just watched her every move. What happened? That was what he wondered. Something must be wrong to make her look rigid. At that moment, he didn’t see J

They arrived at their house and get off the car, they usually walk to the door but when Cayne saw Kook already in there he stopped her right at the front door.“Why do you need them to come over?” He asked.“You’ll see,” her reply was short but not satisfying. That sort of answer was always making people keep wondering and wouldn’t stop asking.“Jilly, please, you’re being so cold towards me after you see that guy. You didn’t even tell me who that guy was, let alone telling me what he said to you.”Brag! She pushed him to the glass window while holding on to the crutches tightly. She pinned him to the glass making the guests inside of their house jump in surprise. His eyes widened at the sudden attack she throw at him. Her eyes were now burning in anger.“You don&rsquo

After Katherine gave Jilly a glass of water, she was left alone in the kitchen as requested. She drank the water as she looked outside of her backyard, she still had the hammock they put up together years ago. Why it was still there? She had no idea. “It’s not in his tooth. I would probably say in the nape.” Kook said and Jilly turned around to face him and then nodded. “Call Marcus and ask his private doctor to come here and do a little surgery,” Jilly said to him as she glanced at Cayne. She got disappointed again by him even though it was unintentional. “I’ll be upstairs when changes are notified.” “Have you eaten, Jilly?” “Yes,” she replied shortly and then got off the chair to walk up to her bedroom. “Don’t let anyone bother me.” She continued but it was spoken directly to Cayne if he got what she meant. “I’ll try.” Kook couldn’t promise something that might be bro

“She is a distant family of Bargin.” Kook said, seeing his confused face.“No, she’s not.” Marcus denied it.“She is,” Kook emphasized while looking at Marcus with a pointed look.
