"Jilly!" She was awoken from her daydream by his voice. She turned her head to find Marco stood next to her. She raised her eyebrow at him in question.
"Yes?"
"Mom is preparing lunch. We should go." He said. He was confused to found her daydreaming like that.
"What about the kids?" As she asked, her head turned towards where the three girls were supposed to be. She frowned when she saw no one was there.
"I sent them away," Marco replied. "Can we go now?"
Instead of going as he asked, Jilly suddenly wrapped her arms around him. She rested her head on his chest.
"What's wrong?" He asked softly and rubbed her back softly. He could see that she needed some comfort, so he was providing her one.
"Why did they look up to me like I'm some kind of hero?" She asked in confusion. That was the first time she ever heard people saying things like that
Marcus and Jilly walked to his study. Jilly knew not to get excited because it was not going to be about work that she loved so much. Somehow, Jilly felt like trouble from home have arrived. "What is it?" Jilly asked as they were in his study. Marcus walked up to the mahogany desk and grabbed something off the desk. Jilly saw papers and printed pictures on them. She could see through the papers. "Come take a look," Marcus said, gesturing for her to come closer. Then, he handed her the papers. Jilly took them but didn't look at them right away. She looked at Marcus for a few more seconds before she took a look at the pictures. She knew it, the trouble at home had arrived. "You could have at least printed a better picture. You know, in a glossy paper so the pictures turned out good." She said as she put them down on the desk. She had no intention of keeping them or looking at them for long. "Is it him? I caught him today around the premises. Loo
Jilly walked into the nightclub where she knew he was waiting. It would always be her who came to him without had to be called directly."You think you can walk freely in this country and this specific town without noticed?" Jilly's voice brought him to turned his head to the side. She leaned on the table before the chair while looking at him."Come sit down." Cayne patted the chair beside him, ignoring her previous question."Do you think you can order me around?" Jilly stared at him hard."No." He replied honestly. "But, I just hope that you will sit down and have a few drinks with me." He uttered his wish. He was sitting on a piece of thin ice himself, but he acted it naturally. She was fuming while looking at him. But then, she realized something. A smirk made an appearance on her lips. He was waiting for his pending doom."Come on." Again, he patted the
Jilly sat on the couch in Marcus' office, waiting for the man to come. She finally got a job to do, but she was not happy about it. So unusual of her and they would notice it right away. Not long after she just slugging on the couch, the door opened."Really? So unladylike of you, Jilly." Marcus commented, seeing how she sat on his couch. She sat looking like a boss when no one was around."No, Marcus. I love you." Jilly said while smiling and straightened her posture up. "Where's Marco?" She asked as she didn't see him followed his father into the room."He's in the warehouse. So, let's go." Marcus told her, gestured her out of the room, and follow him.The both of them walked side by side to the warehouse. Jilly hadn't seen Mariah around the house. Where could she be? If she was going out, Jilly would like to come along."Where is Mama Ria?" Jilly asked her
They laid on the couch as they drifted to sleep. But, Jilly had awoken and dressed while Cayne was still naked and sleeping on her arm as a pillow. He slept like a baby, cuddled to her as it was a comfort spot for him.“Wake up, Isa.” Jilly tried to wake him up as her fingers played with his hair. She had been thinking and finally found something that might work. It was not guaranteed, but it would be worth the try.“Hmm…” He was slowly woken up as he felt her hands playing with his hair. It felt nice and too nice for him to end it, but he should or she would get mad. He just knew it. So, he opened his eyes and searched for her eyes. It was calming for this moment. He had no worries then, even though death was right in front of his eyes.“I’m going to cook something for you to fill in your stomach before you leave.”
Jilly had been preparing as Marcus told her today was the day. It finally came and Jilly couldn’t back out of this, but she had a clear mind now. Everything was on her head in the right direction. She would be going by herself as per usual, she worked alone.“Are you sure you don’t need our help?” Fran offered as he was worried about this specific job Jilly was about to execute. Because it involved someone she once loved.“Yes, Fran. Don’t worry, just make sure your part is going well as we planned.” Jilly said as she adjusted her clothes. She just tucked a gun onto her waistband. Their plan as they discussed was to put him in jail and the original one, the Marcus plan was to kill Cayne on the spot. With these plans she had, she made sure that one of them was going to work.“I’ll send them in before Don come in,” Fran said the plan they had behind the don’
Jilly arrived at their meeting point. Cayne was already there, waiting for his angel of death. He was facing another way when she arrived and didn’t notice her at first, but he could hear her heels stepping on the cement ground. Her particular sound of heels was something that stuck in his head. “It’s not about the money, is it?” He spoke, still looking away. “There is no payment made in here.” Jilly replied, confirming his guess. She didn’t even bring anything but herself and the gun hiding underneath her top. Slowly, he turned around and faced her. He doesn’t look good and was quite pale than the last time she saw him. He nodded his head to her in a way of telling her that whatever her decision was, he was ready. “You shouldn’t have step up, Isaiah. You don’t know this field. I told you didn’t I?” Jilly asked him to try and remember what she said years ago. She had warned him from long ago.
Marcus let out a sighed harshly as he saw what was happening in front of him. He was right when he felt something was off about her just before she left. He couldn’t approach her as she was surrounded by a DEA. If he came out, he would as well surrendered himself to them.“Don’t tell your mother just yet.” Marcus told his son as his eyes kept looking at the scene.“You wanted to hide this from mother?” Marco’s voice raised at his father. Ha hated to be in this situation because he couldn’t help her. “Then, why would you send her to do this?” He asked in a loud voice. Marcus quickly turned around and glared at him.“Be quiet.” He sternly said to his son. He saw Marco already crying because he knew that Marco felt helpless, so does he. “Let’s leave, we couldn’t get caught.” Marcus grabbed his arm, but Marcus pushed his hand away
Kook took the first flight to Italy as soon as he hung up the phone with Mark, one of Marcus’ trusted men. He didn’t even bother to tell their parents of what happened to Jilly. He was too worried about her and did what came to his mind first. He came to the hospital Mark told him about. He informed Kook that there won’t be anybody waiting, because the DEA was on their tail. He realized then, that was the reason why they called him.“Who are you?” Kook asked the woman who stood not far from his sister’s room. He never saw the woman before, was she someone Jilly knew?“Who are you?” she asked back arrogantly. She was there first, so she was a little bit entitled to that.“I’m her brother,” Kook replied with a raised eyebrow.“Brother?” At first, she was confused. But, she recovered fast as she remembered
Jilly had found their location and it was a bit odd because the location was in the coastal area. There was no call or message after Cayne called, which was even weirder. It was the first time she handle this kind of kidnapping. They went silent with no clue at all. So, she decided to handle this lightly and go with Marco, just the two of them.“Do you have friends in this area, Jilly?” Marco asked. They have reached their destination in the coastal area.“Not that I recall,” she said and sigh out of uncomfortable. “I don’t like meeting like this.”“Then, do you want to go back around and make a plan?” He raised his eyebrow in question.“That is a waste of the trip and I need to get my daughter fast. I would have made a plan and taken my time if it was only him getting kidnap but Grace was also with him. A kid would have trauma when experiencing bad things they remember,” she said seriously. After being a mother, she considered a lot of things.“Kidnapping has not been this easy and s
Jilly, Mariah, and Marcus were waiting for Marco for dinner. While Jilly was enjoying Mariah’s angst, Marcus was stiffly sitting on his seat afraid of her outburst. When he first got home, Mariah was giving him an earful about guiding Marco the right way. Right there and then, he knew Jilly must have been talking about Marco and told her everything he try to hide from her. He didn’t want her to find out for a reason, because he doesn’t want to stress her out about him.Marcus was tapping his finger on the table and shaking his foot in the air under the table. Jilly turned to look at him who looked unknowingly unconscious, she smirk at him. Marcus caught her smirking at him from his sightline and then he glare at her for putting him in this position.“Are you happy now, Julliane? Are we your laughing stock?” Jilly pouted to Marcus for being so mean to her. Her mood had livened up because of them, she admitted that.“Marco are, not you. But, if you feel that way then I’ll be grateful.”
Jilly was waiting at the airport for her baby's arrival from New York. She missed her badly and couldn’t wait to hold her in her arms. She was waiting by herself in the lounge of the private airport. She furiously typed on her phone, answering to many emails which were waiting for her response.“The plane is landing, Ma’am,” a staff informed her as the jet was on its way down. She put her phone down and thanked him before looking outside where she saw the jet going down. She stood up and walk out to greet her right off the jet. She was standing at a safe distance waiting for the engine to die down. She was excited to greet her under the stair but when she saw Mark walking out on his own, she got confused. She looked at him with a raised eyebrow, silently asking him where her daughter was. When Mark got down and before she could scold him, another person appeared in the doorway. She saw Cayne along with Grace standing there ready to make their way down the stairs.“What are you doing?”
Luca came back to Jilly’s spot along with Lyan which confused her. They waited for Jilly to be done with her session because it was her right to have the time. The three men stood behind her as they wait, Marco was kind of in an awkward position there. Nobody was talking and beside him was Lyan Bargin, a former enemy unofficial line.Seeing Jilly was done with her session, Marco came forward to help her with the boy. He took the bow from her so she could talk comfortably with her guest.“I thought you were going to give me a tour? I reserved a solo, not a group.” She glanced at Lyan who come unexpectedly.“My apologize, Miss. Vantes. Mr. Bargin wants to see you in person.” He pointed at Lyan who still silently standing next to him. Jilly looked at him with a sinister look and ask what he want from her this time.“Do you like the archery place?” Lyan stepped forward to finally talk to her. While she was here, he wanted to impress her, and maybe that could change her mind. “I’ll give yo
While her daughter was out of the country, Jilly tried to do something she had never done in a long time. She even drove out of the town to find the perfect shooting range, not guns but archery. She tried it once, so she wanted to give her skill a try after a long time.“Welcome to the WiArchery,” a male worker greeted Jilly as she approach the front desk. The archery range was huge and in a winery field, so that combination was what attract the shooters to come. Everyone could come but amateur beginner was not recommended since the range was prepared for someone who knows archery at least the intermediate level.“I called yesterday, thank you for making a slot for me.” Jilly shook hands with him. She knew the reputation of this archery range, they didn’t take sudden or on-the-spot customers.“We don’t usually do this but since you said you don’t have much spare time, we took you into our available spot.”“It was very much appreciated,” she replied.“This way, I’ll lead you to the sto
Around lunchtime Kook finally brought Grace to meet his father. She spent the entire morning with him and Katherine. She took care of Grace wholeheartedly, he love seeing that but to have a child of their own, he didn’t think he was ready enough for that. That topic never came up in their conversation or life nor did someone ask about it to them. They had lived live comfortably and would continue to do so.Since the bar was not an appropriate place for them to meet, Kook actually didn’t tell Cayne that Grace was coming but he did ask Lincoln if Cayne was home. He said that he barely come outside during daylight. He also came out only to the bar which was at night. Kook didn’t know what kind of lifestyle he was doing but he better does good for Grace.Kook knocked on the front door of his house and waited for him to open up.Cayne opened the door and was totally shocked when he saw Kook standing there with Grace and also Mark with them. Cayne was literally just woke and still have diff
Today was the day Jilly going to send Grace off to the State to meet her father. This was her way of not cutting off their relationship but meeting him again in person, she was not ready yet. She would need more time for herself. A month was definitely not enough.“Kook will be on standby the moment you get off the jet. So, make sure to keep my daughter’s safe. That’s the only thing I ask from you, Mark.” Jilly had trusted Mark ever since they work alongside him, so she ask him for a favor comfortably based on trust.“I understand, Jilly,” Mark assured her that she would need no worry. He would put his life on the line for Grace. Grace was a baby everyone in the family cherish, so no harm should come to her.“Thank you.” After thanking him, she goes to get her daughter who was still occupied with her toys. She was in the living while Jilly talk to Mark in the kitchen. She bend down and picked her up from the ground. “Are you ready to go, My Grace?”“Yes,” she replied in her baby voice
“What are you doing keep coming here, Leira?” The house was not so crowded anymore. It had been a month since everyone left. The only visitors she had lately were neither her family nor Leira. She would visit with Marco at times but in the last few days ago, she had been visiting alone.“Taking care of Grace. She likes me,” she replied while playing with Grace.“So?” Jilly brought the breakfast she had just made to the living room where the two were playing. She put the plate down on the coffee table and sit down. “I don’t know about you, Leira, but I called Marco to come here to take care of your problem. Understand?”“Jilly.” She turn to her and raised an eyebrow. “Marco, he has been busy.”“I understand, that’s his job as an heir of the don. You get a bit of the life we’re living in, right? Giving service is not that much different from what he did.” Both heads turned to the front door when they heard the doorbell.Jilly got up from the ground and walk up to the door. She knew it w
“Do you even know what family means?” Marcus stared at Cayne. Marcus valued his family the most in this world and he would die for them, it had been his life’s motto. “It’s not just about to be together with them. You have to know what you want to do with them. From what I see until now, your life is extremely the opposite of what people live. Is that how you want to be living every day?”“Okay, we’ll take care of that ourselves.”“Julliane seems to be sick of it. Didn’t you hear?” He was referring to the earlier event. “What about you, Rachel?”Marcus was just asking her when the door was being knocked on, so he let them in. He saw it was one of his men. “What?”“Fran is here to see you,” he said and Marcus look at him with a raised eyebrow.“Does he mention anything?” He found it weird that his right-hand man wanted to see him without telling him beforehand. The guy shook his head to answer his question. “Let him in.”The man leave and Marcus was in his own world to find a reason wh
