(Four Months Later)
"Soph..." Sophia turned around the bed and pulled up the blanket to cover her face when she felt someone placing feathery kisses on her face."M-mmm~" Sophia groaned."Sophia..." This time Sophia is already annoyed and raised her hand and pushed whoever was interrupting her sleep. However, it came out as a bad idea because the moment she did that, Caden instantly pulled her gently, dragging her out of her little nest as she complained about the light penetrating through their window."Ugh! Caden what are you doing? I'm trying to get some sleep," She gritted her teeth, hiding her face in his chest as she nuzzled until she was comfortable again."Love we have to go, everyone are already calling us for the party," Caden whispered in her ears, tucking a strand of her hair neatly to see her sleeping face."What party?" Sophia mumbled groggily, opening one of her eyes to take a peak at Caden to see im smiling at h"Sophia are you okay? Ever since we arrived from the restaurant you seem to be lost in your thoughts," Kate asked, walking with a tray of tea in her hands as she placed it down, walking to Sophia. They were waiting for all the guest to arrive for the gender reveal party, not that many people, just some family relatives and friends. "I'm okay, just a little nervous, I feel like there's something wrong but not really sire what it is," Sophia replied."You're just stressed, try to relax, here, take a sip," Kate offered her the tea and Sophia openly received it and took a little sip. And Kate was right, it instantly calmed her nerves. She must be really just stressed with all the preparations. "Thank you," Sophia smiled at her and placed the cup down. Kate then shifted in her seat and fetched something inside her purse and saw someone was calling, she excused herself and left the room, leaving Sophia to herself. Sophia sile
“Soph?” Caden waved his hand in front of her face. He has been talking for the past ten minutes but she was just staring at nothing, not even bothering to look him in the eye or fake a smile to pretend that she was listening to him. She was just…blank.“Sophia,” He grabbed her hand that was on top of the table and Sophia feeling his hands on top of hers instantly moved her hand away which made Caden frown at her action. "Soph, are you listening to me? You've been ignoring me since this morning," Caden complained, his voice dark, but the worry in his tone is evident. "W-what? Yes, yeah I'm fine," Sophia answered, a little distraught."You don't seem like it, do you want to go inside and take a rest?" Caden asked, trying to reach for her but Sophia shifted in her seat and moved away. "Yeah, I guess," Sophia mumbled standing up abruptly, turning around not even bothering to look at Caden. Caden narrowed his eyes at her, his hand clenching into fist. He wanted to stop her to talk to h
"Aren't you excited?" Kate giggled, stirring the tea as they talked about Sophia's pregnancy. She is already a month away from her due date and everyone is extremely excited for her."I guess, though I don't like being confined here in the house all day," Sophia said, rubbing her belly. "Oh come on, I think that's the best part of it all. Imagine staying here all day with people accommodating everything you need. That would be a wish come true," Kate leaned back in her chair, daydreaming about a life free of worries."It's not always rays of sunshine when your pregnant Kate. If you think it's so great why don't you and Marcus make one," Sophia rolled her eyes at Kate, massaging her temples, standing up and doing a little stretch of her arms."What?!" Kate screamed, a strand of sweat falling down the sides of he head, "Umm, haha, no thank you, I don't think I'm ready for that yet," Kate said awkwardly, waving her hand in the air in exasperation.Kate went quiet after that, her cheeks
In a dimly lit room, Sophia stood in front of the bed with a luggage on top. She fixed all her clothes that she will bring with her on their trip. She rummaged in her cabinet and accidentally came across an old photo. It was her and Caden on their wedding. She could still remember that day as if it was yesterday. But sigh, she was already far a long that chapter of her life, now, she has a happy life and a loving partner to accompany her. She smiled, brushing off the dust that accumulated on the top of the frame and decided to bring the picture with her, placing it on the free space of her luggage. When she was done, she put everything on the side since their flight was set at 5:00 PM in the evening. She still had other plans with her friends. She wants to formally let them know that she'll be moving. Her family already knows about it and had no problem with it since they also have an estate at S Country and they can freely visit her whenever they want. But her friends on the other
Sophia called someone she knew would definitely know about Grey's situation. "Nikolaus?" She called her brother. On the other end, Nikolaus didn't know that she already knew and greeted her with the most enthusiastic voice, "Sophiii! This is a surprise. How may I be of service to you princess?" He teased, expecting that she will throw curses at him since she doesn't like being called "princess", but for some reason, he didn't hear anything from her, until he could discern some inaudible noises of what seemed like muffled cries.Nikolaus who was sitting in the living room with his wife suddenly turned serious and jolted up, "Sophia, what's wrong, are you crying?" His protective instinct kicked in and his wife looked at him with questioning gaze, confused why he was suddenly being paranoid."D-do you know where Grey is?" A broken voice entered Nikolaus ears and he was immediately shaken. "Why are you asking me this?" He let out an awkward laugh, "I don't know where he is, last time I
Everyday Sophia would try to visit Grey but the attendant becane strict and didn't allow her to enter anymore. She couldn't do anything but go home in low spirit and hope to see him the next day.For three days she patiently did that routine but on the fourth, she finally had enough and thought of anything to force her way in. She looked left and right and seeing that there were no people in sight she measured the height of the gate wall and did a stretch befote she calculated her jump. Fortunately her flexible body had some advantages, and after her little struggle of latching into the gate and carefully avoiding the spikes on top, she managed to jump inside successfully. She took a deep breath and looked through the clear window, and seeing that no one was inside, she got curious where Grey could be and thought that he might be in the garden. But when she got there, there was no one. "Where is he?" She muttered under her breath, then bravely walked inside the house unannounced, s
After that night, not once did Caden bother Sophia anymore. But unbeknownst to her, he was always there, as she searched for Grey, he was there the whole time making sure she was safe and out of harms way. ..."Kate I don't know what to do, I tried searching for him everywhere but I just can't find him. Do you think he is punishing me on purpose?" Sophia ranted as she pulled her hair in grave distress."Are you sure you searched everywhere? Try thinking it again, where do you think he was referring to?" Kate asked.Sophia went silent for a minute, and all of a sudden she stood up, as if she remembered something important."At Country B, we saw each other again at the Eve Garden when I was strolling four years ago. Do you think he's waiting for me there?" Sophia asked, biting her lips."I guess it wouldn't hurt for you to try. I mean, even your brother couldn't find him anywhere in the city, so it is possible that he must've left here," Kate said, sighing. "I'll book a ticket right n
They both wandered in the bustling streets of the city. They walked together to the Eve Garden, hoping that he would be there. Sophia told her that she was fine going alone, but Steffanie under circumstances would let her go alone, not when she's eight months pregnant. The garden was not that far, and they figured that they should just take a walk there. To bask in the good atmosphere of the night."I don't get it. Why didn't he tell me," Steffanie was disheartened. She have always thought that her and Grey had a deeper relationship where they could tell everything to each other. "I also don't know," Sophia grasped her hand, comforting her. "Did you know when we were kids, he was always grumpy. He was always cold to everyone, but later on, he started to grew to be happy, contented with his life. And that only happened after his parents divorced." Sophia listened to her, and the more she listen the graver the felt."I remember that he once called me during one of my shifts and told
"Sophi... babe, wake up," Sophia groaned when she felt someone kissing her face. She never wants to be disturbed in her sleep, but when the person calling her stole a kiss on her lips, her eyes quickly opened, and the charming smile of her husband, Grey, welcomed her sight. His sparkling ocean blue eyes, looking at her with so much passion and love more than she can ever begin to describe."Babe, why are you waking me up, it's saturday," She groaned, moving further in the bed.But Grey also moved along with her, determined to wake his sleepy wife up. "If you don't want to get up then I'm also mot getting up, but I assure you, someone else more loud will come barging in if you don't get up now," Grey whispered in her ears as hugged her from behind. "So be it," Sophia replied without much care, and Grey chuckled at her indifference. He looked at the clock, and when it exactly ticked at 7:30 o'clock the door of their room also bursted open, revealing an angry looking Caius."Mommy, P
"Are you sure we're going to that damned island?" Sophia asked, wondering what got into Caden's head for choosing the island where they were trapped in as the location for their honeymoon. "Do you trust me?" Caden asked, gazing at her with soulful eyes that Sophia couldn't resist."Go away!""Hey~hey, why are you so hot today, did I do something wrong?" Caden asked, placing feathery kisses on her nape as she turned her back on him. "I already told you I don't want to go there, do you wish that I sleep on the sand? Is this your idea of a romantic honeymoon?" Sophia complained, huffing.Caden chuckled at her cuteness and didn't think much about the hurtful words she was saying. He stuck his tongue out and travelled it along her nape. Sophia could feel the wetness of his tongue moving along her skin. She tried to stop the moan from coming out of her mouth but she can't suppress it, not when Caden is sucking her sweet spot behind her ears that sent bolts of electricity all throughout h

In a humongous church located in the South Hills, people were clamoring. Every guest, every family, every relative was seated in the rows of chairs that was adorned with white petal roses. And in the altar stood two gentleman, one wearing a white tuxedo and the other wearing an earthy brown color."Are you nervous?" Axel asked Caden who was constantly fixing his tie whenever he got the chance. "I'm fine, just a little uncomfortable with this clothes I'm wearing," Caden replied, still struggling to fix the tie that was wrapped in his neck."Well if you say so, but as your best man, I advice you to breathe properly, because I'm sure the moment you see my sister, you will need to breathe sharply as you can," Axel said, displaying a lot of pride for his sister. It was known that Axel Williams loved his younger sister dearly, although they don't show it publicly, but as much as he can, whenever their paths cross, he would always shower her with the best treatment he can give. Caden di
(One Year Later) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~“I can’t believe you're getting married again. And to your ex-husband no less,” Kate exclaimed. But it was not out of disapproval, but she just really finds it funny how things travelled in a huge circle for Sophia. “Just zip it Kate, everything worked out well in the end so it’s not totally a bad ending for Sophia, plus this is good, Caius will have a father now, and they can finally torture each other and not drag anyone into their childish pranks~” Klare groaned hysterically on the last part. She just got back from County B and this was her and Aiden’s first time seeing Sophia after such a long time. And not to mention the little devil in disguise, Caius. She really thought that he was the purest and sweetest kid, but then, when she saw her supposedly long hair cut almost half its original length, she instantly knew not to go near that kid ever again. “I’m really sorry about what happened Klare, but you really also d
“Is this the first time you visit him?” Caden asked. They were now squatting in the grass in front of Grey’s tombstone. The day wasn’t getting any brighter and soon the whole cemetery will be covered in darkness, and the likeliness of fog to shroud isn’t too far fetched given the landscape and location of the place. They did nothing the whole time but sit and contemplate. Sophia upon hearing his question straightened her back and left Caden’s warm embrace to look him in the eye. A nostalgic expression appeared in her face, her eyes gradually dimming with sadness, “I haven’t got the courage before to visit him, the truth is…I might actually still be in denial before, that… he is really gone. It’s just so hard, knowing that I’ll never get to see him again,” Sophia muttered, her voice heavy with emotion.Caden nodded his head, “So what pushed you to finally come here?”“You, I guess,”“Me?” Caden pointed to himself in disbelief.“Well not just you, also Caius. I never thought he would
It is currently a Saturday morning. And Caden received a weird message from Sophia telling him that he should be at her house around eight o'clock. He didn't ask further about the reason why he was asking him to go and he just went there, perfectly neat, his jet black hair silked to the back, and he is wearing a more comfortable clothes this time. A grey sweatpants and a black shirt. When he rang the doorbell, there wasn't any immediate response. He waited for a couple of seconds again before ringing it and like the first time, no response. He was about to call Sophia but then he heard light footsteps coming from the other side. And soon enough, he could hear the locks clicking open and the door creaked."Uncle?" Caden looked down to see Caius wearing onesie dinosaur. He looked so cute, but he also looked like as if he just woke up.Caden scooped him in his arms and gave him feathery kisses as a greeting."Hello Buddy, where's your mom?" He asked, and the little boy groaned, feelin
"Baby, mommy will have dinner with uncle okay? You behave with auntie Kate and uncle Marcus and don't be naughty," Sophia spoke while looking at the mirror, putting on a light pink lipstick as she prepared for her and Caden's dinner tonight."Don't worry mommy, I will be good," Caius said, standing beside Kate as he looked cheekily at her.Kate looked at him with a dry smile already knowing that they will have a tiring evening ahead of them. Why did she even say 'yes' in the first place? She should have just told Sophia 'no' right? "Don't worry Soph, me and the little guy will have fun tonight," Marcus chimed in. Kate gave him a side look and sighed in her heart.Right...it was because of her boyfriend, him and Caius always got along well, but for some reason the little rascal disliked her, well not really dislike her, but he likes doing pranks to her and always successfully makes it appear like an accident.Like one time, when her and Marcus was babysitting him three months ago, Cai
"Mommy, Uncle, look! Caius is having so much fun!" Caius yelled as he bounced on the trampoline. Caden and Sophia stayed outside, looking at him with smiles on their faces. The awkward atmosphere still hasn't receded between the two of them. "What food do you like for lunch?" Caden suddenly asked on the side. "I'm okay with anything, but Caius on the other hand can be quite picky," Sophia said, waving at her son who looked at their spot."You shouldn't spoil him that much Soph, if he grows up to be a spoiled brat it won't be good for you," Caden said. And they exchanged gazes at each other, but Sophia didn't quite react kindly to what he said."I know my son well Caden, and I'm not spoiling him, he's just picky because of his allergies, and I don't think you're in the place to say things about how I should raise my son. I've done well for three years of raising him alone, and I don't need you to make snarky comments or anyone else's about my parenting style," Sophia harrumphed, cro
