“Are you going out again?” Sophia asked Caden who was about to head out. It was already ten and she didn't know where he was exactly going, but this has been going around for numerous times that she can't even begin to count.
Three years have passed. After their marriage, and life for Sophia wasn’t easy. They don't fight or anything, but that's also because they never really functioned like a married couple. If they do, it's only when they have family gatherings or when they are together in public. They live in a huge mansion, and unlike Sophia who mostly spends her time working at home writing her books, Caden on the other hand was already working in the company that their family owns, so he doesn’t really have enough time to spend his days at home. And at night, he would usually leave and come back the day after. It was a continuous cycle, they even slept in separate rooms, since he made it very clear to her that he didn't want to sleep on the same bed as her.Sophia could only oblige to everything he wanted, but it didn’t mean that she wasn’t trying to have a good relationship with him.Whenever he comes home drunk she would always tend to him, and in the morning she cooks him breakfast and makes him his favourite coffee. But all her efforts seem to be not working.Caden didn’t even bother replying to her. But she still gave a sweet smile to him and waved at him as he drove off. “Take care.” She whispered in a voice that only she could hear. She was about to head back inside when her phone suddenly rang in her pocket. She looked at the caller and saw that it was her best friend Klare. She picked up the phone and she instantly closed her eyes because of the buzzing sounds that she could hear from the other end.“Sophiii! We’re hanging out in the bar right now. And pleaseee, I know it’s already late but I would really like it if you join us. The gang misses you. Misses you so much!” Sophia smiled hearing what she said. She took a quick glance around her house that was empty and lifeless, thinking that she really did change a lot. She used to love club hopping with her friends, but things have changed, well at least for her that is.“I’m sorry but I’m already in my nightgown. And the house would be empty if I leave. What if Caden comes home.” She said.“Come on Sophi, stop killing yourself in there. You know that it would always be the same routine every single day. You still have a life ahead of you that doesn’t revolve around Caden. So please, have one night, this night! Enjoy yourself for pete sake.” Her friend reasoned to her, and as much as she wants to deny everything she said, she knows that what she said was true. She couldn’t help but release a huge breath. “Fine, just this once.”When the words came out of her mouth a shout from the phone immediately penetrated her ears.“Yes! Finally! We’ll wait for you here. I’ll text you the place. See you soon.” Her friend squealed and hung up.She went to her room directly and searched in her closet for something appropriate to wear. It was the first time after three years that she was going to places like a bar again. She tried hard to leave a good impression on Caden which was why she became conservative. But just this once, she wanted to feel like her old self again. She missed the fun times she had with her friends.‘It wouldn’t hurt to have fun. Would it?’ She thought, before picking a white dress that would compliment her milky white skin and silky chestnut brown hair. She never once bothered to care about her appearance or wear expensive designer clothes when she was around Caden. She knew that he liked the type of girl that was simple, so she decided to leave that part of her in her youth and embrace the life of a perfect married woman. So wearing something like this again made her uncomfortable. But she soon got out of it, especially when she saw herself in the mirror. It was like looking at the past. Her past self.…It took her forty minutes to arrive at the bar that her friend texted. She looked around the place and saw different kinds of people. There were intoxicated people, the shy ones who preferred to be in the corner, and the wild ones who were dancing on the floor, grinding with each other. She smiled internally and started searching for her friends. When she saw them in one of the tables, she instantly went over there, but then a guy popped up out of nowhere and blocked her path."Hey there, I'm Danny, Dan for short. Would you like to join us?" A guy with messy black hair invited her with an enticing smile pointing at a group of people. Although he was good looking, she knew better than to accept his invite and stir trouble. She was a married woman after all."I'm sorry but my friends are waiting for me." She said, and left him on the spot without giving him a time to say anything."Sophia!""Oh god girl we missed you so much!""Sophi let's party!""Well I guess I lost the bet. Nice seeing you Sophie."All of them circled around her and greeted her all at once. They were a party group of five. There was Marcus the savage, Aiden the father hen, Kate the wild one, and Klare the mother hen. And as for herself, she used to be the balanced member of the group, she was fifty-fifty on the wild side and mature."You react as if we haven't seen each other in ages." She laughed at her friends' faces and gave them a heartwarming hug."Well duh, but this is the first time that you have hung out with us like this for ages. So you can't blame us for being dramatic." Kate waved her hands as she spoke, trying to make a point."So we are going to get wasted today, because tomorrow and who knows for the next following years, you will be Mrs. Prim and Proper. So let's get this party started!" Marcus yelled and everyone cheered, each one taking a glass full of alcohol and chugging all of it in one go.They kept repeating it until all of them were totally wasted.Sophia already couldn't keep up with them. She was getting hot, and decided to dance a little bit.She staggered towards the dancing floor and started moving her body to the beat of the music.Minutes later, her friends also decided to join her and they did some crazy dancing with impossible dance steps. They laughed, jumped and were so energized because of the alcohol that was rushing in their blood. But then, Sophia stopped, she looked at a particular figure that was sitting on the second floor of the bar.She knew he couldn't see him because of the huge crowd. But she could see every detail of him, especially the woman who was talking with him in a flirty way."Caden?" She whispered under her breath, not taking her gaze away. And as if Caden felt her presence, he started looking around and finally, his eyes landed on her. Both of them looked at each other. And you could feel the intensity between them."Hey why are you just standing there? Come dance with us." Klare pulled her hand which got her attention back.Sophia looked away for a second and when she looked back again, he was gone.'Was I hallucinating?' She thought, suddenly getting dizzy."Guys I'm going to the restroom. I won't take long." She said,"I'll come with you." Klare offered but Sophia quickly declined saying that she can handle herself. She walked to the nearest restroom with half-lidded eyes. She tried so hard to make it there, but her world seemed to be swirling around her.And then a person walking crashed into her making her falter in her footsteps.Luckily a person caught her in time, preventing her from falling on the floor, she felt the person's arm snaking its way to her waist trying to help her up. But she was already too wasted to stand up straight. And as if on cue, everything in front of her started to dim, and the only thing she remembered before she passed out were the sight of her friends running to her. And the blue ocean eyes of the man who caught her.Sophia groggily opened her eyes, she turned her head around, and seeing that she was in her room made her confused."Mmm…what? What happened? How did I get here?" She mumbled as she got up bare feet, feeling the coldness of the floor. She opened the door and slowly got out, trying not to create too much noise since she didn't know if Caden went home last night or not. 'But wait… I think I remember seeing him last night. Or did I remember it wrong?'She thought, but before she could even have the time to think, the door next to her suddenly bursts open.Revealing a well dressed Caden. He was wearing his usual office clothes that hugged his toned body perfectly. He ogled Sophia who was standing still in front of him, unmoving."You went out last night." He said candidly while looking at her."Uh, yeah, kind of. I'm sorry if I wasn't able to let you know." Sophia was clenching her hands while talking. She wanted to ask him if he was really there or not, but she didn't know if it would b
Sophia is currently driving her car to her in-law's house. They were always curious about what was happening between her and Caden's relationship. Caden's grandmother was hoping that she would be pregnant in the first year of their marriage. But three years have passed and there was still no news from them. She received a lot of pressure, but she would always assure them that they were just taking it slow. Hiding everything that was happening on the sideline. When she arrived she was greeted by a lot of maidservants and was escorted by the butler to where Caden's family were waiting. She put on a brave face when she finally caught sight of them and greeted everyone with a warm smile. "Sophia dear, come sit." Caden's grandma greeted her, and kissed her on the cheek. They all exchanged pleasantries until they had finally settled. They engaged in polite conversations, and Sophia skillfully deflected any inquiries about her relationship with Caden. Deep down, she was grappling with her
A year has passed since the unfortunate fatal car accident. Caden would constantly visit her in the hospital ward and check her condition, his heart filled with guilt.Sophia's parents were equally devastated of what happened, they insisted on a thorough investigation if there was any foul play, but the investigators or the police couldn't detect any foul play...."Caden you should go home. You haven't had a proper rest for a long time." Sophia's mom, Cassandra said with concern laced in her voice. She just walked in and saw Caden silently staring at Sophia's pale resting body. His lips were pursed into a thin line as he spun his head to look at his mother in law. "I'm fine mother. I'll stay with her, she still needs me ." He said, and Cassandra wanted to persuade him to go home and rest but he already sat back down on the chair and watched her daughter intently, his head hung low, and his shoulders slumped. "I see, but don't drain yourself you still need to rest." She said and le
"Where is she? Is it true that she's awake?" Cassandra, walked into the long hall briskly with Jacob, Sophia's father, their faces a mixture of frantic and excitement. After a long time of waiting they would finally get to see their daughter awake again.Caden slowly closed the door behind him since they were making an awful lot of sound and he didn't want to accidentally wake Sophia up. His face was somewhat pale, the veins in his forehead popping, which didn't escape the eyes of his in-laws that was standing just in front of him."Caden, what's happening. Is it true? Did she really wake up?" Jacob asked, his voice laced with worry seeing Caden's reaction to their question. He kept a hawk like gaze at Caden, adamant to know his daughter's situation."She woke up." Caden said briefly."Oh thank god. Let us see her then..." Cassandra tried to get inside but Caden didn't budge and stood in front of the door, not minding the scrutinizing gaze the two were giving him."Step aside Caden. W
"When am I allowed to leave?" Sophia asked grumpily, looking at Caden who was staring outside the huge window with a blank expression. He shifted his gaze and looked at Sophia, exploring every change he sees on her."You seem energetic. Don't worry it won't be long before you can go back to our house." He said, his eyes deep and piercing. "House?" Sophia muttered tilting her head sideways."What?" "It's just you called it house... shouldn't it be home if were married?" She said, putting her hand in her chin, contemplating. Caden was slightly taken aback by what she said, 'She's right, what we have isn't a home, it's just a plain house that we are obligated to stay in because of our marriage.' He stared back at the scenery outside, releasing his breath, making a haze on the window from his cold breath."Caden...""Mmm?" Caden hummed in response. Sophia looked at him from her bed, she could tell that they didn't share a bond or anything deep because whenever he's around her, his face
"Where are we going? This isn't the way to our house." Sophia asked, looking at Caden who was driving to an unknown route to her."We're married already Soph. We have our own home." Caden said, turning to Sophia who was busy looking at the outside scenery through the window.Their house was located on one of the furthest hills not far away from the city. In fact, the city could be seen bustling at night since their mansion has quite a good view of it from up there.Sophia spun her head to Caden hearing his reply, "Oh? Does that mean we also sleep together?" She asked.Caden went silent for a second before forcing a smile and nodding his head, "Yeah, we often sleep together when I'm not busy." He said, concealing the whole truth from her.Sophia could tell from the way his tone was changing that he was hiding something from her. She kept gazing at his face for a while before releasing a heavy breath, moving her gaze away, looking back outside.'This man is quite shady. What do I actual
Sophia is currently standing in front of the window frame. The cold breeze of the early morning air brushed through her face as it entered her room. She closed her eyes and breathed slowly, relishing the feeling.A week has passed since she was discharged, but ever since then, not once did Caden sleep with her in their own room. He always insisted to her that they sleep separately for her sake, since she might still not be comfortable with them being together. She wanted to insist, but she also understood his side and didn't want to press anymore and decided to just let go of the topic."It's so quiet in here." She whispered in the air, as she turned around, her white night dress that didn't reach her knees, moved along with her body in a beautiful rhythm. She was barefoot on the cold floor. She strutted her way outside to look for Caden. She passed the long hallway, and eventually knocked in front of Caden's room to see how he was doing. "Caden? Are you awake?" She asked softly, an
"Isn't what you're wearing quite revealing?" Caden said, looking at Sophia's exposed white legs while still trying to focus on driving on the busy road. She's wearing a peach V-neck line front tie wrap dress, paired with white heels. She looked so elegant and beautiful on what she's wearing, and his commentary made her mood change into a bad one, she instantly scowled at him and huffed."What's wrong with it? This is my usual get up, I can even do worse than this, sigh...I miss going to parties with my friends." She said, closing her eyes momentarily remembering all the wild nights she had with her friends before. "Speaking of which, I need an updated phone. Can you go with me to the mall?" She asked, and Caden gave her a side eye, sighing. "We don't have time to drop at the mall. I'll let my secretary handle that when we get to the company." He answered casually, pressing on the gas pedal to speed up....They soon arrived at the entrance and a man with an awkward looking glass gree
"Sophi... babe, wake up," Sophia groaned when she felt someone kissing her face. She never wants to be disturbed in her sleep, but when the person calling her stole a kiss on her lips, her eyes quickly opened, and the charming smile of her husband, Grey, welcomed her sight. His sparkling ocean blue eyes, looking at her with so much passion and love more than she can ever begin to describe."Babe, why are you waking me up, it's saturday," She groaned, moving further in the bed.But Grey also moved along with her, determined to wake his sleepy wife up. "If you don't want to get up then I'm also mot getting up, but I assure you, someone else more loud will come barging in if you don't get up now," Grey whispered in her ears as hugged her from behind. "So be it," Sophia replied without much care, and Grey chuckled at her indifference. He looked at the clock, and when it exactly ticked at 7:30 o'clock the door of their room also bursted open, revealing an angry looking Caius."Mommy, P
"Are you sure we're going to that damned island?" Sophia asked, wondering what got into Caden's head for choosing the island where they were trapped in as the location for their honeymoon. "Do you trust me?" Caden asked, gazing at her with soulful eyes that Sophia couldn't resist."Go away!""Hey~hey, why are you so hot today, did I do something wrong?" Caden asked, placing feathery kisses on her nape as she turned her back on him. "I already told you I don't want to go there, do you wish that I sleep on the sand? Is this your idea of a romantic honeymoon?" Sophia complained, huffing.Caden chuckled at her cuteness and didn't think much about the hurtful words she was saying. He stuck his tongue out and travelled it along her nape. Sophia could feel the wetness of his tongue moving along her skin. She tried to stop the moan from coming out of her mouth but she can't suppress it, not when Caden is sucking her sweet spot behind her ears that sent bolts of electricity all throughout h

In a humongous church located in the South Hills, people were clamoring. Every guest, every family, every relative was seated in the rows of chairs that was adorned with white petal roses. And in the altar stood two gentleman, one wearing a white tuxedo and the other wearing an earthy brown color."Are you nervous?" Axel asked Caden who was constantly fixing his tie whenever he got the chance. "I'm fine, just a little uncomfortable with this clothes I'm wearing," Caden replied, still struggling to fix the tie that was wrapped in his neck."Well if you say so, but as your best man, I advice you to breathe properly, because I'm sure the moment you see my sister, you will need to breathe sharply as you can," Axel said, displaying a lot of pride for his sister. It was known that Axel Williams loved his younger sister dearly, although they don't show it publicly, but as much as he can, whenever their paths cross, he would always shower her with the best treatment he can give. Caden di
(One Year Later) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~“I can’t believe you're getting married again. And to your ex-husband no less,” Kate exclaimed. But it was not out of disapproval, but she just really finds it funny how things travelled in a huge circle for Sophia. “Just zip it Kate, everything worked out well in the end so it’s not totally a bad ending for Sophia, plus this is good, Caius will have a father now, and they can finally torture each other and not drag anyone into their childish pranks~” Klare groaned hysterically on the last part. She just got back from County B and this was her and Aiden’s first time seeing Sophia after such a long time. And not to mention the little devil in disguise, Caius. She really thought that he was the purest and sweetest kid, but then, when she saw her supposedly long hair cut almost half its original length, she instantly knew not to go near that kid ever again. “I’m really sorry about what happened Klare, but you really also d
“Is this the first time you visit him?” Caden asked. They were now squatting in the grass in front of Grey’s tombstone. The day wasn’t getting any brighter and soon the whole cemetery will be covered in darkness, and the likeliness of fog to shroud isn’t too far fetched given the landscape and location of the place. They did nothing the whole time but sit and contemplate. Sophia upon hearing his question straightened her back and left Caden’s warm embrace to look him in the eye. A nostalgic expression appeared in her face, her eyes gradually dimming with sadness, “I haven’t got the courage before to visit him, the truth is…I might actually still be in denial before, that… he is really gone. It’s just so hard, knowing that I’ll never get to see him again,” Sophia muttered, her voice heavy with emotion.Caden nodded his head, “So what pushed you to finally come here?”“You, I guess,”“Me?” Caden pointed to himself in disbelief.“Well not just you, also Caius. I never thought he would
It is currently a Saturday morning. And Caden received a weird message from Sophia telling him that he should be at her house around eight o'clock. He didn't ask further about the reason why he was asking him to go and he just went there, perfectly neat, his jet black hair silked to the back, and he is wearing a more comfortable clothes this time. A grey sweatpants and a black shirt. When he rang the doorbell, there wasn't any immediate response. He waited for a couple of seconds again before ringing it and like the first time, no response. He was about to call Sophia but then he heard light footsteps coming from the other side. And soon enough, he could hear the locks clicking open and the door creaked."Uncle?" Caden looked down to see Caius wearing onesie dinosaur. He looked so cute, but he also looked like as if he just woke up.Caden scooped him in his arms and gave him feathery kisses as a greeting."Hello Buddy, where's your mom?" He asked, and the little boy groaned, feelin
"Baby, mommy will have dinner with uncle okay? You behave with auntie Kate and uncle Marcus and don't be naughty," Sophia spoke while looking at the mirror, putting on a light pink lipstick as she prepared for her and Caden's dinner tonight."Don't worry mommy, I will be good," Caius said, standing beside Kate as he looked cheekily at her.Kate looked at him with a dry smile already knowing that they will have a tiring evening ahead of them. Why did she even say 'yes' in the first place? She should have just told Sophia 'no' right? "Don't worry Soph, me and the little guy will have fun tonight," Marcus chimed in. Kate gave him a side look and sighed in her heart.Right...it was because of her boyfriend, him and Caius always got along well, but for some reason the little rascal disliked her, well not really dislike her, but he likes doing pranks to her and always successfully makes it appear like an accident.Like one time, when her and Marcus was babysitting him three months ago, Cai
"Mommy, Uncle, look! Caius is having so much fun!" Caius yelled as he bounced on the trampoline. Caden and Sophia stayed outside, looking at him with smiles on their faces. The awkward atmosphere still hasn't receded between the two of them. "What food do you like for lunch?" Caden suddenly asked on the side. "I'm okay with anything, but Caius on the other hand can be quite picky," Sophia said, waving at her son who looked at their spot."You shouldn't spoil him that much Soph, if he grows up to be a spoiled brat it won't be good for you," Caden said. And they exchanged gazes at each other, but Sophia didn't quite react kindly to what he said."I know my son well Caden, and I'm not spoiling him, he's just picky because of his allergies, and I don't think you're in the place to say things about how I should raise my son. I've done well for three years of raising him alone, and I don't need you to make snarky comments or anyone else's about my parenting style," Sophia harrumphed, cro
