Katy woke up early as usual and she went on job hunting without telling her stepmother, but there was no luck for hours untill she was returning home when she saw apply within, Katy was happy to come across within, and she entered Into the compound where she met a old woman of about sixty five years but the woman was on wheelchair, and she said, "good day ma'am" Katy said,

"how may I help you?" the woman asked,

"I saw applied within pasted on the wall outside" Katy said,

"Yeah, you are right" the woman said "did you see me properly?" She asked,

"Yes ma'am" Katy retorted,

"Can you take care of someone like me?" the woman asked,

"Yes, and I will try my best" Katy said,

"Are you a nurse?" The woman asked,

"No" Katy retorted,

"I don't have confidence In you" the woman said,

"Put me on trial for two weeks or one month, If you are not satisfy with my job, then you can stop me from working for you" Katy said,

"I liked your courage" the woman said, "but my job Is a lived In job" she said, "can you do It?" she asked,

"I will trying, though I haven't done this type of job or lived In job before" Katy explained,

"How much was your last salary?" The woman asked,

"Nine hundred dollars" Katy retorted,

"Okay, I will pay you one thousand two hundred dollars with two days off monthly" the woman said, "are you okay with that" she asked,

"I'm fine with the condition" Katy retorted, "thank you ma'am" Katy said,

"You are welcome" the woman said,

"When are you starting the job?" the woman asked,

"Tomorrow" Katy retorted,

"Alright" the woman said,

Katy returned home, and her stepmother, Mrs Rudolf asked, "where have you been since morning?", you've gone to meet men, I won't tolerate that In my home" I won't tolerate a prostitute In my house" she said, and she entered Into the house, and she threw all her clothes outside the compound, and she humiliated her, ranting all over the building, and she warned everyone In the building that nobody should accommodate her In their house for a second,

Katy was pleading Why tears was dripping down from her eyes, but Mrs Rudolf refused to listen to her, she even told her that she went on job hunting, "good for you, I don't want you to Infect my daughter with your bad luck, please stay away from us" her stepmother said, and she shut and fastened the door while Katy was outside the compound sobbing,

Katy picked up the few clothes she has and arranged them Inside the polythene bag, and she waited a long while untill everyone enter Into their apartment, and she crept Into the building, when one of their neighbour saw her, she took her Into her house,

When Anne came back from work, she asked, "where Is Katy"

"I sent her away" Mrs Rudolf retorted,

"Why" Anne asked,

"You can't believe, this Idiot left this house since morning, and she came back In the evening" Mrs Rudolf explained,

"You shouldn't have sent her away, you we still need her services In this house" Anne said,

"Don't worry I'm done with her In this house" Mrs Rudolf said,

"How are going to manage with house chores, cooking, and the laundry?" Anne asked,

"I have gotten a solutions before I sent her away" she said,

"What Is the solution?" Anne asked,

"You will get me a brand new washing machine, and dishwashing machine, then I will employ a janitor for house cleaning" Mrs Rudolf explained,

"Do you have the fund for those expenses?" Anne said,

"Why are you working, why do you think I told Katy to leave her job for you, why do you think I was giving you promotional tips?" Mrs Rudolf asked,

"Okay, I understand you are my mother, and I believe that you can do anything for me, let me know the prices of all your needs, I will work towards It" Anne said,

"You are just talking, I will give you feedback tomorrow" Mrs Rudolf said,

Anne walked into her bedroom while her mom remained In the living room watching movie on the television until she was slumbering before she entered Into her bedroom and she slept off,

Early In the morning, Katy came out of the woman that harboured her, and she crept out of the compound and headed to the woman that newly employed her, she waited at the entrance door till the broad daylight before she entered Into the compound, and she was led to the woman's bedroom, and Katy said, good morning ma,

"How are you?" The woman asked,

"I'm fine ma" Katy retorted,

"Have come to resume the job?" the woman asked,

"Yes ma" Katy said,

"Okay" she said, and she called her granddaughter, and she said, "take her to the room that was prepared for her, and show her around the house" the woman said,

The granddaughter named Nancy took to her room, a moderate room with a comfortable bed, a couch, a sturdy chair and table, with social amenities,like washroom, and some other thing, Katy was just gazing around the room, and she was amused with many things Inside the room, and she was touching all the decorations, and Nancy said, "this Is your room, you will be seeing all this things every day, so come with me"

Katy dropped her tattered polythene bag, and she followed Nancy to the other places In the house, and a few minutes later, Katy and Nancy returned to the woman, and she said, "welcome to my home" she said,

"Thank you ma" Katy said,

"Go and prepare non sugar breakfast with little salt for me"

"Okay ma" Katy said, and she headed to the kitchen and when she was going to the kitchen, she saw a award that Mrs Vivian Rodman written, and she stared at the award and she said herself, "this name looks familiar, but I don't remember anything about the name" and she entered Into the kitchen and she prepared the breakfast and she set the food on the table, and she walked Into the bedroom and she said, "Ma, I've set the breakfast on the table"

"You can bring the breakfast to my bedroom to reduce stress" she said,

"Don't worry ma, I will get you to the living room" Katy said, she helped and wheeled her to the dining table where she took her breakfast,

"Ma, do you need anything?" Katy asked,

"Call me Mrs Rodman" she said,

"Mrs Rodman, but that name sounds familiar, but I don't know" Katy said,

"You are right, our name Is popular throughout the country" Mrs Rodman said,
