Chapter 58: Memories
"Eli ..."
I stopped sobbing and turned to Yvor who was now standing in front of me. I thought he already left.
"Just go, and leave me alone," I warned him and then turned my back on him.
But instead of following what I said, he firmly held my wrist and dragged me towards the Honda Civic that was parked nearby.
"What the heck, Yvor Sebastian! I said, let me go! I need to go home," I grunted and tried my best to pull my wrist back but the madman wouldn’t just let me and he even has the guts to grin at me.
"I missed hearing you say my full name," he muttered and forcefully pushed me inside the car. He then settled at the driver’s seat and quickly locked the doors, making sure I won’t jump just to run away
Chapter 59: ReconcileAfter a minute or so, he broke the kiss when my tears started falling."Hey, why are you crying?" he worriedly asked and kissed my tears away. I stilled on what he did but I still let him. Maybe because . . .I’ve been longing for him. And I missed him.I missed his love for me—a love that is so pure and sincere.I smiled lightly at him and shook my head. "N-no, it’s just that something stuck in my eyes and made me teary.”He cheekily laughs at my lame excuse. "Your reason is so used up, Eli," he muttered, chuckling and sighed afterwards. "Is it about the kiss? I’m sorry about it but I didn’t regret doing it. I just really miss you," he admitted and heaved a sigh once more. "Looks
Chapter 60: Still“Are you sure you’re okay now?” Yvo worriedly asked the moment I get out of the car. I told him to just hail a cab for me because I already troubled him much, but he insisted to take me home.I nodded and flashed him a small smile, “I am. Thanks for taking me home. You should go now, it’s getting dark.”“Alright, then.” He heaved a sigh. “You already have my number. Please do save it and text or call me if you needed anything, okay?”I was about to reject his offer but I realized that he will still be persistent about it so I just sighed and nods my head.“Thank you, Yvo. I’ll go inside now. Drive safely.”“I will, Eli. Thank you, too for accepting me into your life again. I
Chapter 61: AghastYvor brought me to pasta delici. It is a famous Italian restaurant within the city so the food they serve is really expensive. And Yvo as he is even before, it's okay for him to spend money even though I always told him that he doesn't have to do that for me. We can just eat at a simple restaurant that also served pasta. But he was too persistent again to bring me here because he said, their pasta here was tastier so I just let him do what he wanted."Yvo. . .I have a question," I started the conversation while we are waiting for the pasta that we ordered. He looked up at me and then flashed me a sweet smile. "What is it?" he muttered.I took a deep breath and silently release it before answering him, “You haven't been home in a month now. Isn't you
Chapter 62: Cousins “W-what? T-that can’t be true,” I stuttered in disbelief, lips trembling. Yvo then exasperatedly sighed. “That’s why I don’t want to tell you about this. Just calm down, okay? We still didn’t figure out everything,” he comforted me but it doesn’t calm me down. “The van may be registered on his name but there’s a possibility that it’s not him who’s driving that night. It could be someone else.” “B-but what if he is? I’m s-sorry, Yvo,” I mumbled and cried in his arms. “Shh, stop,” he hushed me and engulfed me in a tight embrace. “Don’t be sorry, love, you didn’t do anything wrong. Stop blaming yourself.” I just nodded but I can’t stop my fucking tears from falling. I feel disgusted with myself because I fall in love with the man I shouldn’t be. He might be an accomplice o
Chapter 63: Child"Wow. Small world," I muttered, still grasping the news about them being blood-related."Yeah," Lyf mumbled and then smirked at us afterwards. "But I should be the one to be shocked here. You two seem too close."Yvor quickly held my waist and grabbed me closer to him. He then faced his cousin."Lyn, she's the woman that I told you last month. The woman that I love," said the person next to me with a smile on his face.Fellice snorted and glared at her cousin. "Sebastian, stop calling me with that name. It’s so cheap!" she ranted then sat down on the sofa and crossed her legs. "Anyways, I never thought that it's my best friend that you are talking about."Yvo turned to look at me. "You two are best friend
Chapter 64: ChanceI immediately got up and went to the bathroom when my stomach suddenly turned upside down for the third time since I woke up this morning. Then, I vomited in the sink with nothing that’s coming out of my mouth but pure water until it was just saliva. After rinsing my mouth, I faintly went back to bed and lay down again. I was about to close my eyes to sleep when I heard a knock on the door of the room that Fellice and I are now occupying here at the private beach resort of the Lastra family. We hurriedly book a flight last week and we arrived here the other day because my crazy friend was so excited about his upcoming birthday party for tomorrow. She said that she wants all her guests to enjoy and be satisfied with her celebration. So she herself will take care of the decorations as well as the catering.
Chapter 65: Waiting"Congratulations, Ms. Abejero . . . You're five weeks pregnant," Dr. Emerald greeted me—my OB-gynecologist. She then held out her right hand in front of me as a gesture to congratulate me.I tearfully shook his hand and genuinely thanked her, "Thank you so much, Doc."She smiled. "You're welcome. Anyway, I'll just prescribe you some vitamins and what you need to eat to keep you and your baby healthy."I nodded and waited for her to hand me the prescription then bid goodbye to her before I left her clinic. I was about to go to the parking lot because Yvo was waiting there—as I told him earlier to just wait for me in the car, when I saw two familiar faces at the entrance of the hospital.
Chapter 66: LastrasWhen Yvo and I went down to the pool area of the beach house, we immediately saw Fellice there and a few other people who were busy tidying up the whole place.Yvo is assisting me on my back as we walked closer to his cousin. I just shook my head while looking at my best friend’s troubled face. She seems panicking and can’t calm her nerves. She went back and forth from one table to another just to make sure that all of those were in order. I laughed softly at her actions. She is really too excited about her own party. As we planned, some of her guests will arrive here today especially her closest friends and relatives. Then, the rest will follow to land here tomorrow morning because the party will start at lunch to evening—or probably until ever
