IRIS'S POV:“What type of gift? Can we guess?” Jason questioned in excitement, and I watched intently as their nanny served them slowly.“Oh no, Hun. Don't worry as soon as he gets back, he's going to tell you about it and if it's not past your bedtime, you might get to witness it.” She told them playfully and I simply shook my head, and took a sip out of my red wine.We continued with dinner for over thirty minutes, eating so slowly and wanting so much money because of how delicious it was. He wasn't half as good as Jonathan, every lunch he sent kept getting better. Like he was cooking to please, it was so tasty and thoughtful.“Oh and Mum, I was not arguing with a boy today. He said I was cute and he likes me and I told him thank you, but I was frowning because the debate teacher had said I hadn't done as she had expected. I feel like she's being hard on me, but I know not to tell Dad, I heard he looks like he could get her fired. And I will only use that for urgent situations.” Jam
3RD POV:THE NEXT DAY:Iris and Mariana had spent the night talking, giggling and just joking around about each other's situation. Mariana had lost her case despite how hard she had worked on it, which made that the first case she lost and the media were outside the courthouse as soon as she came out dejected.“On the bright side, he did seem guilty.” She joked, and Iris sipped out of her glass red wine chuckling.Jonathan woke up in the middle of the night, thirsty and unable to see as his insomnia was back after more than a week of sleeping blissfully without the help of his pills. So he walked around checking up on the twins and played kisses on their forehead before exiting out of the room. As he walked by Iris's room, he was astonished hearing their conversation and giggles. He was glad he could do something nice for her. He went into the kitchen and grabbed a glass of water heading straight into his home office, and opened up his laptop.“Finally!” He exclaimed with a huge smile
JONATHAN'S POV:AN HOUR LATER:We had arrived at the famous yet beautiful and cozy spa, The Comfy Spa & Getaway, which was over forty minutes drive since it had been a tropical lounge in the area and just like as the name implied it was perfect for a getaway. I remained as silent as I could the whole ride here texting the twins and I had my hands crossed behind me, following behind Iris like her bodyguard, trying my best to hide how excited I was.Iris had changed out of her cloth and was now in a robe, as she got both her pedicure and manicure. As determined as I was to spend time with her, I had also joined her to get both also changing into their white soft robes.I took a seat next to her, pursing my lips and she looked at me with a confused stare.“What are you doing?” She questioned, gazing at me as I picked up one of the random magazines and I was caught by the heading What women want for a happy marriage.“Oh I can speak now?” She rolled her eyes cutely at my question and I co
IRIS'S POV:SUNDAY AFTERNOON:“I'm sorry for yesterday,” I read out the card, picking up the bouquet of pink roses which was in front of my door. I looked straight ahead and it was still so amusing that our rooms were directly in front of each other, but very far apart. I picked up the flowers, carried it into my room and shut the door. Which must represent something, as some many writers might say it's a metaphor.Since ‘our date’ on Friday, I had definitely kept my distance and by distance I meant staying in my room throughout yesterday, with the maids letting me know when he was not in his room so I could leave my room to have something to eat. I took a stroll in my cute cream summer dress at evening time, and walked through the mansion's garden, and nurtured the flowers, took a seat and talked to the twins who were just ranting and giggling. For dinner however, I had just gotten out of the shower, and I stood in my walk-in closet with water still dripping from my hair, analyzing
IRIS'S POV:He turned back at me, gazing at me before walking down the hall into his room and shutting the door quietly and I shut my door as well.“Ugh. What is wrong with me?” I went back to my room and stuffed my mouth with the delicious red velvet cupcake.Lord knows how much I hate him.************Today, we were having brunch at the Knight's mansion then afterwards, we spent a little time together before taking the kids back home. It was a warm yet breezy day, so what was better than a beautiful white and blue floral patterned summer dress, and let my hair down.We were having brunch at the patio in the huge house of the Knight's, and I just knew if their history was traced back, they definitely had royalty in their heritage. Throughout the ride here, Jonathan uttered not a single word, keeping his attention on his phone and I kept to myself, looking outside the window, simply excited to see my babies soon. Even though he had left a bouquet and a card apologizing, it was evide
IRIS'S POV:LATER THAT NIGHT:“Oh Mummy, we have so much fun. On Saturday morning, we had breakfast made by Jason and one of the biggest michigan chefs in the country as Grandpa requested his presence. They made delicious dishes of different types, even our country's specialty. Afterwards, you might have noticed the trampoline in the backyard. We watched a movie with our grandparents then went there. In the afternoon, we went shopping which explained all those bags.” Jamie pointed at the over twenty designer shopping bags, from clothes to shoes to toys to cooking materials for Jason and cute swimming equipment for Jamie.“After we got back, I was surprised Grandma and Grandpa has so much strength, because we went to the most colorful and nicest bowling alley where Jamie and I paired up and Grandma and Grandpa played against us and we won though Grandma said it was just by a point, we didn't care, we won.” I laughed as Jason added to his sister's story, and Jonathan who was seated on J
IRIS'S POV:Still On Flashback:“It might be hard to settle in giving all the arrangements in your marriage but having a family like the Knight's can make it so easy. I mean I wish the Whales were like this.” She told me and I hummed.“We should spend time together when you're free.” So we exchanged contacts and talked for the rest of the afternoon.“Beware of this one. She's still so weird to me.” She pointed out as Scarlet walked towards me.“Can we talk for a minute? I want to apologize.” Scarlet muttered to me, and I glanced at her, forcing a smile.“Maybe later, and I assure you we have nothing to talk about. And we both know why.” She looked at me confused and right before she could ask anything else, a drunk, dirty looking woman stumbled onto the patio.“Tristan! Tristan! Where the hell is that godforsaken man?!” She shouted, and everyone at the table became quiet with their eyes widened. The woman was dressed in a white gown which was now dirty and her hair was all over the pla
3RD POV:TWO WEEKS LATER:After two weeks of peace between Jonathan and Iris, where they had been talking and even sharing things, it came to an abrupt end after Iris went back to Kemela for 48 hours to review the progress of the project and attend a conference where she had been paid handsomely to speak to over thousands people. Her flight and hotel had been covered by the management of the conference, providing her with the luxury they were certain she was accustomed to.The only problem was although she had informed the kids and her family and friends, she failed to tell Jonathan about it. FLASHBACK:It was late at night on the first day of Iris's stay in Kamela, the kids were seated in the study just coloring the new books their grandparents had gotten them, while enjoying their freshly baked cookies Jason had made earlier.“Welcome back, Mr Knight.” Their new head of staff, Mr Barley, greeted as Jonathan had tiredly arrived at 8 p.m after going to check on his restaurants. “Tha
3RD POV:TWO WEEKS LATER:“You poisoned the kids? Did they die?” Loud questioning came from the abandoned duplex out of town, with little to no internet and power majorly supplied by the solar panel gotten from Iris's company. She packed up her hair in a messy bun and yawned, “I did and those little bastards didn't. You know I have always hated those two kids since I laid my eyes on them and it was going to be easier this way. Getting rid of them as well as having Iris crying her eyes out. It's so annoying seeing her grinning from all directions of the camera, I just wish I was able to stay longer and see the tears rolling down her fat cheeks.”She tossed the little transparent bag of poison on the table stand in her room while he sat on the bed laughing at her words while keeping his eyes on her as she stripped out of her clothes. “Well, as long as there are no cameras that capture your face, it's great to keep them on their toes and have fun with them. However, you need to keep me
IRIS'S POV:Now I felt totally horrible and I ran through my face, everywhere was as silent as a graveyard which was definitely a wrong comparison given the situation at ground. To make matters worse, some medical personnels came out rolling a covered body out but stopped when they saw us. I could hear a sniffle coming from someone which I would guess to be Sophie, she hated situations like this.“I'm so sorry.” I coughed out and he smiled tightly.“I totally understand and I'm sorry for all the trauma and pain I caused you in the past, and what Gabriel is doing to you and your family. You still hit as hard as before I see. “ He joked trying to lighten up the mood as he adjusted his suit, and there was a cut on his lip.“Thank you for the suit and for this hit. I needed it more than you would ever imagine.” He looked surprisingly sincere, looking so hurt and he walked off. I could feel everyone's eyes glued on me and waiting for my next move.I closed my eyes for a second before hurry
IRIS'S POV:THAT EVENING:“I came as soon as I heard and Bonnie stayed back with the baby. What are they saying?” Carl joined us in the hallway, greeting everyone who was just as anxious. I remained silent and to myself wiping away my tears, ignoring everyone's word of comfort and encouragement, just thinking long and hard of what had possibly gone wrong. As the twins were rushed in about thirty minutes ago, we all overheard the doctors and paramedic suggest that they were most likely poisoned and Jason's condition was more critical than Jamie. From where? By who? When? “I should have been more cautious and careful. If anything happens to them, I will never be able to forgive myself.” I thought outloud and placed my head in my hand, trying my best not to break down into tears and I could feel Jonathan's muscular arm instantly pulling me.“It's not your fault, Iris. They are going to be fine.” Mariana and Sophie said in unison, just like the twins and I imagined never getting to hear
JONATHAN'S POV:THAT SAME DAY:“Thank you, thank you so much, Sweetheart. This would have never happened without you.” I kissed my wife repeatedly on her forehead, cheeks, lips and neck and she giggled melodiously, looking so gorgeous. Whew…My wife is breathtaking. Even with little to no make up.“It's all you, love. You are so talented, passionate and amazing, it's only right you get your flowers and deal with whoever attempts to tarnish your image.” She spoke sweetly and I held onto her waist firmly, unable to wipe the smile on my face. The switch in people's words and reactions to me was quite amusing. My assistant had read what was being said now and I was just glad, the restaurant would continue receiving customers as this also affected the sales of the restaurant. “I love you so much, with everything in me!” I told her with absolute sincerity, and she cupped my cheek, pressing her lips on mine and kissing me softly.“I love you too, and the kids and I are so proud of you.” She
IRIS'S POV:“In the absence of any confessions or words from either of these great chefs. Let's begin….” The announcer stated, and began cutting down along with every other person in the audience as well as the kids who were just so energetic from all that sugar intake.“3….2….1…” And they began, grabbing their utensils and everything needed. The hall was not so large, it had a capacity of two thousand people because as soon as the tickets were out they were instantly sold out. Many referred to the competition as the ‘greatest battle of the sexiest chefs.’ And what was better than watching it in person…The hall was dimly lit, and the spotlights were on the contestants who had their eyes facing to the audience and the judges who also watched how they had prepared it. I wasn't even as tense as I should be, because one of the judges was present at the revealing of this new meal and he had been one who gave Jonathan thumbs up.But I feared whoever was behind bribing Chef Ryan could also
IRIS'S POV:A WEEK LATER:“Good morning everyone. I am Iris Knight, wife of Jonathan Knight and I will answer a few questions after sharing some words.” I spoke in a very assertive tone, speaking into the different microphones before me. “Chef's Ris was made inspired by me because I am my husband's taste, which is probably why a single bite of the meal will always make you moan or groan at its blended delicious taste. Chefs who have been in love could probably understand what I'm talking about. Chef Ryan who knows if he has or would ever experience the love Jonathan and I share, what if he truly has, won't it be great if he gathered with us by tomorrow night with it being publicly streamed, in order for the whole world to see the same passion and ease in his eyes as he cooks. We've all witnessed Jonathan Knight prepare this meal confidently for years, how come we haven't heard or seen Ryan Jared do the same? If he doesn't, it displays how much of a liar and fraud he is right?” I chuc
JONATHAN'S POV:A WEEK LATER:Bonnie had given birth to a baby boy, and though premature, all four of us had concluded that he was going to be so bad yet great like Carl was. If I hadn't admired Carl before then I totally did now, he had been making sure Bonnie was doing well after the surgery as well as questioning the doctors about the most minimal things everytime he goes online to read something about premature birth. He had also been flooding her with gifts and he shared with Tristan and I that it was finally time to get her the luxurious car she had requested for because she duly deserved it as his greatest fear which was losing her didn't come to pass. Iris also had been so attentive to Bonnie's needs, talking to her about her feelings and worries as a new mother and I had seen them both crying one time. It still broke my heart till this day that I was unable to be there for Iris and be by her side through postpartum.I just hope there will be a next time and I will be there.
JONATHAN'S POV:TWO DAYS LATER:“Jonathan Knight, are the rumors true?”“Chef Ryan has made a whole lot of allegations against you, what do you have to say?”“Are the Knights really thieves of ideas?”“Is this how you plan to portray yourself to your kids?”The paparazzi came all at once as Tristan and I exited out of my office, we ignored them and my security hurriedly pushed them back in order for us to walk past, handing us glasses which I was so thankful for because the cameras kept flashing repeatedly in both our eyes.We successfully entered my black SUV and I heaved out a breath.“What the hell?!” Tristan exclaimed as one of the female reporters clung out at him, preventing him from shutting the door.“Give us something…anything, Mr Knight. Just a word.” She pleaded, sticking her head through the door which was almost getting closed and my security carefully pulled her away.Tristan and I looked at each other after locking the doors and laughed out loud. My driver soon started
3RD POV:THE NEXT MORNING:“Good morning, Sweetheart.” Jonathan greeted Iris, kissing her forehead and she smiled weakly, sitting up watching him bring breakfast on a tray.Iris had already woken up a few minutes ago, and almost shed a tear out of anger at the trending headline all over every blog and the mean words being said about him, set to tarnish her husband's image. Ten minutes after Jonathan's interaction with the lady he suspected to be Scarlet, everybody in the entire hall and world got a notification which stated such defamatory remarks against Jonathan.Jonathan Knight, a role model to many and a successful chef, has been called out by Chef Ryan Jared as a thief who stole his popular delicious recipe for Chef's Ris. This proves Jonathan Knight is not a man of integrity and a thief! He literally forced his wife to marry him, he can coerce anyone to do anything and steal as well. Don't you think? It was uploaded on a blog and it got over fifteen million views in an hour. J
