"But I may not be as kind as you," Summer said, her eyes glistening. "I heard from Clara that you gave up your only chance to escape to save Serenity’s child. Many people wouldn’t give up their chance to live for someone else. I couldn’t do that."

Summer’s thoughts drifted back to the car accident with Nathan. Her mind had gone blank, and she had instinctively closed her eyes when the crash happened. However, Nathan had sacrificed himself to protect her, giving her a chance to live on. If Nathan hadn’t protected her back then, he might be the one alive now.

"Summer, what’s wrong? Are you okay?" Coco’s voice interrupted Summer's thoughts.

Summer smiled. "I was just thinking about someone who loved me very much." Seeing Coco's puzzled look, she added, "My husband, Nathan."

Coco had heard Lucas and Serenity mention the name before.

She knew he was the one who had saved Summer during the accident. Unfortunately, Nathan had died saving her, and the public had been condemning Summer si
