Chapter 2784

The nurse skillfully tied a tourniquet and tapped Coco's arm to locate a vein.

"Hold her still. Don't let her move when I draw her blood," the nurse instructed.

"Got it," Lucas responded. He let Coco rest her upper body against his chest while he held her shoulder with one hand and her arm with the other.

As the needle pierced her skin, Coco instinctively tried to pull her arm away, but Lucas held her firmly.

"It hurts..." she complained pitifully.

"It'll be over soon. Just bear with it," he said patiently. He couldn't recall ever being so patient with any other woman except Serenity.

Once finished, Lucas held Coco and waited for the results, which would take about 15 minutes.
