Lessie looked pensive. The Birch and Wells family had been tangled in matters complicated beyond salvage. At this point, she could no longer tell who was right or wrong.

Hopefully, the woman would keep her promise and divorce Wilson without any hesitation. And it would be another three months of waiting.

"I hope you'll keep your promise," Lessie finally uttered softly.

The lights in Clara's eyes dimmed. Apparently, Lessie still hoped she could sign the divorce papers willingly despite the three-month wait. Right. In Lessie's eyes, Clara was just a woman who kept hurting his son.

"I will," Clara promised. As she turned to leave, she saw Wilson standing near the entrance of the living room. God knows how long he had been standing there. Did he overhear everything?

"Mom, I told you before. Don't interfere in our affairs!" Wilson said in a low growl. He strode from the entrance and grabbed Clara by the wrist to lead her away.
