He scrutinized her. Her eyes were welling up with moisture, as if tears were on the verge of falling from them once again.

His heart tightened, and memories of the previous times she cried flashed through his mind.

Another time, she begged with tears in her eyes, "Wilson, please spare me, spare me!"

And finally, amidst her tears, she had declared with a calm voice, "Wilson Birch, I will never forgive you..."

These were the memories he had of her crying.
