Clara snapped back to reality and accidentally blurted out, "W-We're married! I think it's okay to touch your face like this."

Surprise flashed through Wilson's eyes. "Yes. We're married," he said calmly and straightened up. "Don't sleep in the living room again. Go to the bedroom to sleep, or you'll catch a cold."

"Okay," Clara responded. "Have you eaten? I've left some food for you, so heat it up and…" she said but stopped halfway through her sentence.

Clara looked at the time and realized it was already ten at night. Wilson must have already eaten dinner by this hour.

"Oh, I didn't realize it was so late. You must have eaten already. I'll go clean up the kitchen." Clara got up, heading to the kitchen.

Wilson grabbed her arm. "You made dinner?"

"Well, I was going to eat with you," Clara answered in a mumble.

"Why didn't you call me?" Wilson questioned.

"I was going to call, but… I think you blacklisted my number. I couldn't get through," Clara explained.
