When Wilson woke up the next day, Serenity spoke to him. "I don't care what happens between you and Clara, but if you hurt Clara, I won't forgive you."

Wilson looked at Serenity and said in an even tone, "That day will never come. If it does, I won't forgive myself either."

Serenity fell silent at his reply.

When Wilson was about to turn to leave, he abruptly stopped in his tracks. Before leaving, he asked, "Serenity, what made you stay with Jackson in the first place?"

"What?" Serenity flinched at the question.

"You were in the prison partly because of Jackson, but why did you end up with him?" Wilson asked.

Not many knew about Jackson's involvement in Serenity's case. Wilson happened to find out by chance when he looked into Serenity's information after her crash into the sea.

Serenity looked at Wilson and said in a steady voice, "Because I know no one else loves me more than him. If I miss him, I'll regret it for the rest of my life."
