Terry shuddered. His lips parted despite himself. The taste of her tears filled his mouth, dismantling the walls he had erected. All his senses were drawn towards her.

He closed his eyes uncontrollably. Now, even if he were to kiss her and hold her like this, he wouldn't be tormented by the blood parasite anymore.
