"Connor?" Jackson raised an eyebrow. "He told you that? That's different from what he told me. But regardless, I only trust what I remember."

"But what you remember is a false memory!" Serenity quickly protested.

"Then explain to me, if what you say is true, why did neither you nor Connor tell me this before?" Jackson questioned, staring intently at Serenity.

"We were afraid that your mind might not be able to handle the shock if you recall the real reason I fell into the sea! Your memory was suppressed through hypnosis. No one knew what would happen if you forcefully tried to remember," Serenity explained.

Jackson slowly approached Serenity. "So you’re saying that you love me so much that you're willing to die along with our three children to prevent me from dying, is that right?"
