Chapter 1757

Jackson read the reply, his face darkening with fury. He sent another reply, but the kidnappers never answered him.

"I'll go. Jenny and Zeke seem very determined to get me over there!" Serenity insisted on going.

Jackson pursed his lips tightly and said nothing, clearly disagreeing with Serenity.

"Jack, I'll protect myself, and… I'm still going, even if you disagree. I'll get him back safely. It's the only thing I can do for him as his mother!" Serenity said stubbornly, determined to save Caden.

Jackson sighed helplessly, knowing there was nothing he could do to change her mind. He could not go against her wish. At last, he simply said, "Well then, let's take a gamble. If anything happens to you, I'll be with you!"

Serenity shook at Jackson's answer. She understood what his words meant—he would die for her!

Serenity forced herself to sleep that night. She needed enough sleep to have the strength and energy to save Caden.
