"So," she heard Terry ask her, "are you going to marry someone else and never see me again?"

She looked at him in shock, clueless of how to answer him.

Terry had no desire to wait for her answer either, so he just turned around and was about to leave. But by then, Lisa had already stepped toward him and grabbed his arm, asking him, "How badly were you hurt?"

His tall figure stiffened. His face seemed much paler now under the silvery moonlight.

"I told you," he replied, "if you've got no feelings for me, don't ever touch me again!"

"Is it so wrong that I'm worried about someone who just saved me?" she argued.

"It would be fine if it had been someone else," he said, trying to pull his arm away from her grip. "But not you!"

Lisa could feel the pain in her heart intensify, yet she still held onto his arm adamantly and asked, "How badly were you hurt?"

It was all she wanted to know–was he okay? Was he seriously injured?
