Didn't Terry plan all this to take the Hart family down? Why would he give the Hart family a chance?

"I can lend the Hart family a sum of money, enough to keep the Sunshine City project alive during this crisis," Terry said.

Monica's heart sank. In other words, the Harts would only be able to retain the Sunshine City project?

That would mean that the Harts would fall out of the ranks of the prestigious families! They would be stripped of all their other assets!

"Why would you do that? What's your goal?!" Monica asked. She believed that Terry must have an ulterior motive.

"My goal is to annul our engagement," Terry said.

Monica scoffed. "Annul our engagement? Surely you can easily do that yourself after the Hart family crumbles?"

"I want you to personally tell the media that we've agreed to annul our engagement. You should clear Lisa's
