Jackson turned to his subordinate and said, "You'll be punished for your failure to do your job after I get home, but for now, find out what these people were trying to do."

His subordinate answered, "Yes, sir."

Just then, one of the men subdued by Jackson's subordinates struggled to raise his head and yelled, "Serenity Lewis! You bitch! Don't think that you can just hide in Solaria forever and that what you did will be forgotten! You colluded with your mentor and got me thrown in jail for two years! You broke up my family! I'll make sure that you pay for what you did!"

It was then that Serenity finally recognized the shouting middle-aged man. He had been a defendant in one of the cases she used to work on, where she was the plaintiff's lawyer. The plaintiff ended up winning the case, and the defendant was sentenced to two and a half years in prison.

"I did nothing wrong," said Serenity. "You were guilty in that case, and you deserved the sentence you received."
