Chapter 1553

The look in Jackson's eyes made Serenity wince. She hoped Jackson had not misunderstood them.

"You don't love Serenity at all. Why are you trying to trap her?" Lucas faced Jackson head-on. "Or will you deny what you've said? That you don't love her anymore?"

Jackson glared at Lucas, his lips tightly pursed. The battle of wills between the two men was a tense standoff.

Lucas' hand tightened on Serenity's arm. Serenity tried to pull her arm out of Lucas' hand but she could not. Jacqueline stood beside her, obviously frightened. She was holding Serenity's other hand, and her face was pale.

At last, Jackson broke the silence and snorted, "I did, so what?"

As he spoke, he walked to them and grabbed Lucas' arm. "Even if I don't love her, she's still my wife. She won't go anywhere unless I let her go!"

"If she wants to go, even you can't stop her!" Lucas warned. He would do everything in his power to help her leave.

Serenity was the person he cherished with all his heart. If Jackson co
