Chapter 1196

Tears poured out of Lynette's eyes incessantly. Her tears weren't entirely fake. She really was scared when Serenity revealed the truth. If Lucas believed Serenity, she would be in big trouble.

Thankfully, Lucas didn't.

Serenity's eyes had never left Lucas. "In your eyes, am I really the kind of person who would lie and take over another person's identity just to save someone?"

Her voice was much less intense than before. She sounded as if she was just asking a serious but simple question. However, that made Lucas nervous.

What was he nervous about?!

After all his hard work, he finally managed to get a bit closer to her, but it felt like they were now moving further and further apart, all because of the man named Peter Wall, a man that he had never taken seriously before.

From what he could remember, Peter Wall was just an ordinary, plain-looking man!
