Lynette left the ward somewhat indignantly. Serenity grabbed an apple and a fruit knife, sat down by Lucas' bed, and started peeling the apple for Lucas.

"You ran into your former coworker downstairs?" Lucas asked, seemingly in a casual manner.

"Yeah. You've actually met him before. Remember Peter Wall, the guy who ran into you when he was searching for me?" Serenity asked. She didn't try to hide anything and answered casually.

Peter Wall, huh? Lucas searched his memory. When Serenity went missing, that Peter Wall guy looked very anxious. He obviously cared a lot about Serenity, more than a normal friend would... He probably had feelings for her.
