Chapter 28

I ran down the stairs following the wonderful scent of pine trees, it wasn’t until I reached a door that I realised this was not a place that I wanted to be, this cannot be happening to me right now and why has it got to be him of all people. Sapphire was still jumping around in my head all excited as she is clearly thinking about just meeting her mate and not who it could be, I don’t blame her as a mate is supposed to be one who loves you unconditionally being there to support you, but I feel like on this occasion that wasn’t going to happen.

‘Sapphire, we need to leave right now!’ I said to her.

‘No mate is in there we need to see him!’ She barked back at me trying to take over control to get to our mate.

‘I don’t want to meet our mate; I want to go back to our bedroom away from her please.’ I begged her, fighting to keep control but she was getting stronger due to the need of getting to our mate.

‘No, mate needs us to be with him.’ She said finally taking over control and opening t
