Chapter 2 Martin Headache

Martin’s eyes stared blankly at his private blue lagoon pool at The Retreat Hotel. He arrived at the hotel with Jacob hours ago and needed to wait for Stephanie and the twins which will arrive later. He flew to Reykjavik right after his business meeting ended in London. However, before he went to the airport, he stopped by at the hospital after previously he experienced a bad headache lately. Jacob succeeds in making him stop by at the hospital since Martin is stubborn enough and tends to ignore his headache. However, what the Doctor said later stated in his mind. 

‘Mr Clark, you have serious brain damage. This usually occurs after experiencing a long coma from your previous accident. You need to be careful next time, one wrong accident again, it will bring worse consequences.’

‘Can this be cured?’ Martin asked 

‘Most cases, the patient didn’t survive. Only a few make it till the end. But Mr Clark, I can give you some recommendations to the best doctor and the sooner we treat it, the better it will be.’

Martin took a deep breath, he stayed silent, but soon he heard someone open the door and he saw Stephanie with a bright smile. 

“Honey……” Stephanie walked toward him who was sitting on the chair next to window

“I miss you!” Martin got up and quickly pulled her in his embrace

“I miss you too,” Stephanie replied back, but soon both of them heard loud voices behind them, the twins run to their direction

“Daddy…..” Sophia shouted 

“Daddy…...I miss you,” Mia added

Martin released Stephanie and he squatted, opening his arms to the twins. Both of them quickly hugged Martin. 

“My babies...daddy misses you so much!” He landed kisses to their cheeks

“How’s New York? Mommy didn’t lock you up in the hotel, right?” 

“We saw the big statue, daddy. We also had delicious seafood,” Mia said happily 

“Daddy, Mia called mommy’s friend uncle handsome. We agreed right, daddy is the most handsome one?” Sophia snitched

“Whose is that? Let me guess, his name is uncle Luke, right?” Martin smiled as he glanced at Stephanie

“How did daddy know?” Sophia asked 

“Yes daddy, uncle Luke is kind to us, he promise he will treat us again next time,” Mia told Martin

“Oh really?” Martin said sarcastically 

Stephanie laughed, she then said “Alright, go back to your room, we will have lunch and go out later, okay!”

“Mommy, I want to swim there!” Mia small finger pointed out the blue lagoon pool next to the window

“I want to play there too!” Sophia added 

“Alright, ask Dana and Julia to go with you, go to the pool in front of your room, not here, okay?” Stephanie told them 

“But I want to be with daddy and mommy,” Mia murmured 

“Stop being such a baby!” Sophia snapped

“Well, we’re babies, right!” Mia replied 

“Alright, later in the afternoon, we can swim together, okay!” Martin spoke up

“Daddy…..I love you!” Mia hugged Martin and he lifted her up

“Let’s go back to your room. Mommy is tired, let her rest a while,” Martin said as his other hand take Sophia’s small hand while his other hand carry Mia 

It was around 5 minutes later, Martin went back to his suite and found Stephanie was changing her clothes. His eyes stared at her sharply as he walked toward her. He pulled her and kissed her. His hands on her waist as he pressed his body on her. Both of them walked to the bed as they continued kissing. As they laid on the bed, Martin wasted no time to strip her underwear and he quickly took off his clothes too. He turned around Stephanie and hugged her from behind before he found a way to get inside her. 

“Is this what do you mean let mommy rest for a while,” Stephanie laughed as Martin thrusted her from behind 

“Oh honey, you want me to stop?” He whispered as he increased his movement and his hand squeezed her breast 

Stephanie turned her head to see him and said, “No!” She then asked for kiss and Martin quickly claimed her lips

Martin moved faster as his hand travelled from her breast to her vagina, playing with her clits. His left hand held Stephanie’s neck and moved to her hair and pulled it hard. The suite was quiet, just the sound of them having hard sex and their heavy breath releasing their desire. It was around 30 minutes later, when both of them were close, Martin kissed her neck and whispered, “together?” and Stephanie quickly nodded. Soon, he sealed her lips with his and came inside her. Martin laid down next to Stephanie and he pulled her to his embrace. 

“Honey, about….” Stephanie was about to mention Luke but Martin suddenly cut her

“I want to spend more time with you and the girls. Let’s cut our work schedule this year!” Martin said as he caressed her hair 

“Sure, if that's what you want!”  

“And……” He want to bring up something but he was hesitant

“What? Tell me what do you want?” Stephanie noticed his hesitation 

“What do you think if we………” He took a deep breath, then continued, “If we have another child?”

Stephanie was shocked hearing him saying that, she went silent for a moment, then said “You want a baby boy?”  

“No, it doesn't really matter, boy or girl! I was thinking, I started with no good intention when we have Mia and Sophia. I do really want to have a baby when I am truly in love with you and he or she will be our symbol of love,” Martin said as he looked her in the eyes and landed a soft kiss on her forehead

“Don’t get it wrong, I love having Mia and Sophia. It just……”

“Honey….” Stephanie’s eyes got teary hearing what Martin had said, she kissed him and continued, “All I need is just to remove the implant, you can tell Jacob to arrange it.”

“So, you agreed?” Martin suddenly felt excited

“I love you! I’ll do anything for you, especially having your baby, our baby,” She smiled and Martin hugged her, while saying “Thank you honey!”

It was around 5 pm Martin took the twins to his suite and went swimming in the lagoon pool. Meanwhile, Stephanie went out with Jacob to see the gynecologist. It surprised her that Martin told Jacob soon after they discussed it. 

“Daddy, where’s mommy?” Mia asked 

“Mommy went to the doctor with uncle Jacob. She will be here soon!” Martin told her

“Is mommy sick? What happened?” Sophia added

“No! Mommy isn’t sick. Come here, both of you!” Martin asked them to get closer to him

“Mommy went to the doctor because mommy and daddy think it is the time for both of you to get a little brother. So, what do you think?” 

“WOWWWW, a little brother?” Mia was overjoyed 

“Daddy, why? Aren’t we enough? Why do we have to get a little brother?” Sophia looked sad

“Sophia, it isn’t about that! Daddy and mommy love both of you,” 

“But, then why need another kid?” Sophia asked 

“How if later daddy and mommy love him more instead of us?” Sophia added

“Baby, that won’t happen! Daddy promised to you and Mia. Both of you are forever daddy’s princesses” Martin 

“Really?” Sophia made sure

“Promise!” Martin pulled a pinky promise and Sophia as well as Mia hugged him happily 

“Now, tell daddy, how do you like uncle Luke?” Martin tried to change the topic. He was surprised seeing Sophia’s reaction

“He is okay, Mia likes him a lot!” Sophia told Martin

“Uncle Luke is a good uncle. Of course I like him! Sophia was rude toward him, daddy!” Mia answered Sophia

“I don’t like seeing mommy with other men except daddy! I will guard mommy for you daddy, don’t worry!” Sophia ensured Martin and he smiled immediately, then said, “Be kind to uncle Luke, Sophia!” 

“But, want to know a secret?” Martin added

“What is that?” Mia was curious

“Before mommy married daddy, it was uncle Luke who was about to marry mommy.” 

“What????” Mia was surprised

“So, uncle Luke is daddy’s competitor?” Sophia asked 

“Something like that! Uncle Luke loves mommy so much, but in the end mommy marries daddy and both of you are born later on.”

“See...I can feel it, how kind uncle Luke is toward mommy and us, so we should keep mommy away from him!” Sophia said out of loud

“Baby...no need to do that! Mommy and uncle Luke are business partners. After all, mommy chose daddy and you! Mommy loves us, you know!” Martin smiled 

“But daddy,” Sophia was about to protest but then Martin cut her

“Be kind to uncle Luke! He is a good guy. Mommy and him are friends. Both of you should be good around him, okay!” 

Martin’s thoughts went away, thinking about Luke. ‘What happened when I was gone? Will Stephanie end up with Luke?’ 

His thoughts came back after suddenly he felt his headache. It hurts and he, for the first time, feels afraid. He fought his headache and said to himself, ‘I don’t want to die soon! I want to live longer and take care of my family!’
