Her feet made their way towards the huge entrance of that building but she got halted by the guards at the entrance.
“Your entrance card?” One of the guards asked Nina. All those guards were looking very rude, who loved to scare everyone and Nina hated such kind of people but she just nodded at that guard and took out her entrance card.
She handed the card to that guard. Cain had already told her regarding this that no one could enter into the premises without the entrance card, no matter what.
“Okay, you can go,” the guard gave her the card back. Shoving the card back in her handbag, she walked towards the main door but there she had to walk through the security detector to enter inside finally.
A little scowl formed on her face. Why so much security? She had no interest in stealing anything from here.
With her frown, she entered inside the premises finally but as soon as she did it, her frown faded and got replaced by a stunned reaction. This place was looking even more beautiful and magnificent from inside. Nina felt like she had entered inside some kind of royal castle with a modern touch. Every single thing inside this place was breathtaking and enchanting. It could make anyone go insane over its beauty. Nina wondered how much its possessor had spent on it to build a place like this. Probably too much for her understanding.
She sighed, heavily. Rich people and their ways of showing their richness. Mentally chuckling, she walked further inside and went to the reception.
“Hello,” Nina greeted the receptionist lady.
“Hello, how may I help you?” The receptionist asked her, politely.
“I came here for the interview,”Nina answered.
“Your interview letter?” The receptionist asked her after hearing her. Nina showed her the interview letter which the receptionist checked and then nodded.
“Fourth floor, room no. 932,” the receptionist informed her about the place where the interview was going to be conducted.
“Thank you,” saying that Nina went towards the elevator.
She reached the fourth floor and her eyes widened by seeing the huge line of candidates who had come here to give the interview. She had already expected this long line because she was aware of how famous and successful this place was. Anyone would feel blessed to get employed in a place like this, not just only because of its extremely high salary and remunerations but also because of its luxurious working environment and atmosphere.
Exhaling a soft sigh, she looked for her seat number which was written on her interview letter and then she finally found it. Nina sat on her respective chair and waited for her turn to come. She saw candidates going inside with nervous looks on their faces and some returned with a smiling face and some with sadness.
Almost after waiting for an hour, her turn came. Getting up, she took a deep breath to calm her anxiety down and then went inside that room.
Nina saw that room looked like some kind of hall from inside and it was beautiful like the rest of the place. It was a panel of three interviewers. Two men and one woman.
“Take your seat, Ms. Halzen,” Nina heard the woman telling her. She nodded at the woman but only before reading her name which was written on a board in front of her….. Ameline Zelvasco. She read that woman's name and then sat on her chair.
“So, Ms. Halzen…. Kindly introduce yourself,” she heard one of the men asking her.
“My name is Nina Halzen. I am 19 years old and I am in my first year of graduation,” she informed the panel.
“And why do you want this job?” Another man asked her.
“To support myself financially,” she answered, shortly.
“Will you be able to manage your studies and work here, Ms. Halzen?” this time she heard the woman asking her.
“Even if I can't, I would have to because this job is going to be my only source of income which I need to spend for my livelihood,” she replied, honestly and she could clearly see that her answers impressed the panel.
That interview proceeded and she continued to answer them honestly.
“You are hired, Ms. Halzen,” she heard the woman saying to her after she asked her the final question. Nina smiled before thanking them.
“And yes, don't forget the only thing you need to remember while working here is discipline and maintaining the decorum of this place,” that woman, Ameline, said to her. Nina dipped her head.
“I will remember that. Thank you very much,” she answered, earning a nod from that woman and then she left the room.
“Yes….yes….yes,” she came out jumping from that room but finally realised that she was surrounded by dozens of people who were giving her weird looks. Probably because she had been dancing like an alien now.
Nina gulped before maintaining her stature. She took some small steps and then ran away from there, already forgetting about the discipline and decorum of that place.
………….
“Yeah …..I got the job,” Nina was jumping, like a happy and excited frog. Cian chuckled, seeing her. She had been dancing since the moment he took her to her home.
Giggling, Nina sat beside him and then hugged him tightly.
“Thank you so much for suggesting my name for the interview,” she said to him and then planted a soft kiss on his cheek.
“I love you soooooo much,”
Cain chortled before gently patting her cheek.
“I love you too,” he said to her, widening her smile. Nina noticed his eyes trailing down towards her mouth which made her nervous because she understood what he was wanting to do but she was not ready for it.
Cain leaned more closer to her mouth but she tilted her head while pressing her palms against his chest.
“Just on cheeks,” she said to him which made him sigh heavily. They both were dating each other from the past couple of months but Nina was not ready to go further than kissing on cheeks and hugging each other because she wanted time before she would go more deep into her relationship because this was her first time dating someone.
“As you wish, Ms. Halzen,” Cain kissed her cheeks and Nina breathed out in relaxation. After that, she sent him a big and wide smile which he returned with a small one.
“So you are going to start your work tomorrow?” He asked and she nodded at him.
“Yes, now I am very excited to start my work, especially after seeing how beautiful that place is. It feels like you have entered inside some kind of fantasy movie,” she elaborated and her explanation made him chuckle.
“No, seriously…..do you have any clue of how many millions your uncle has spent on making that place? I couldn't even describe through my words how ethereal that place is,” she still couldn't get over the beauty of that place. It felt like the enchanting beauty of that place had gotten stuck inside her head.
“My uncle has made this place for his wife, Noelle because she used to love cooking a lot. That's why he gifted her that hotel on their very first wedding anniversary,” Cain's words stunned Nina.
“Really?” she asked, startled. Cain nodded at her.
“It means your uncle loves his wife a lot,” she concluded. Only a person insanely in love could do that for his beloved.
“Yes, he does love her a lot but unfortunately his wife died in an unfortunate event during the second year of their marriage,” his words faded Nina's smile because somehow she started feeling extremely bad after hearing that thing because she knew the pain of losing your loved ones.
“By the way, you know my entire family is going to gather in that hotel tomorrow to celebrate Eara’s birthday,” hearing Cain, Nina gave him a surprised look.
“Tomorrow's celebration is going to be a little more special for my whole family,”
“Why?” Nina asked him, confused.
“Because tomorrow uncle Rican is going to join us for the birthday celebration party,” he answered, but it did nothing to lessen her confusion.
“And what is so special about it? Isn't your uncle the owner of that place? Besides he is a member of your family then how it is….”
“Because after losing his wife, my uncle stopped interacting with his family,” he told her.
“What?” Nina uttered, perplexed. Cain nodded.
“I mean he does come to meet his parents but that happens very occasionally. It's been more than 7 or 8 years since his wife died and from that day when he lost her, my uncle started distancing himself from everyone, even his own family. He has stopped attending family get-to-gatherings but tomorrow, as per Eara’s request, he agrees to join everyone for her birthday celebration because my uncle couldn't say no to his 3 years old niece's birthday wish,” he explained to her and now Nina finally understood every single thing that why tomorrow was going to be so special for his entire family.
“That's good. I hope you and your entire family will have a beautiful time together,”she wished him, making him smile.
“Well, tomorrow you can also meet my family for the first time. I can introduce you to them finally,” he said and his words turned Nina a bit anxious. She had never met any of Cain's family members before and meeting his entire family at once sounded a bit nervousing.
“What happened? Don't you want to meet them?” Cain asked, seeing that tensed reaction on her face.
“No, it's not like that. I mean I will be working there as a waitress and ….” She halted but he understood the reason behind her hesitancy.
“You don't have to worry about that. I am more than sure that my family is going to love you, especially my mother, Niley and my grandma Aniya,” he tried to ease her down. Nina finally beamed at him and then nodded at him.
“So it's been decided, I will introduce you to my family tomorrow,” he uttered and now about meeting his family finally started making her feel excited but little did she know that this excitement of hers was going to turn into a nightmare for her when tomorrow, for the first time, she was going to be in front of Rican Alfanso.
“Yes, here is my name,” Nina uttered, finally seeing her name in the students’ semester entrance list on her college board. “I told you that it would be here. You were panicking for no reason, Ni,” Rachael said, spinning her eyes. She had already found her name on the entrance list. Both the girls had come to their college to check if their names had been shortlisted for the new semester or not as their first semester had ended and now the next one was about to begin.“Shut up, Rach. How would you have reacted if you had not found your name even in the last list?” Nina scowled. Rachael again spun her eyes.“Stop being so dramatic, Ni. We found our names, so let's be happy about it,” Rachael uttered. Nina nodded at her, smiling.“By the way, you remember that we have to first make the settlements for entering into this semester as it has additional subjects and other things or else they wouldn't allow us to sit in the classes?” Rachael asked her. Her question made Nina sigh.“I know.
Nina's heart froze seeing those dusky brown eyes glowering down at her like he was on the edge of ripping her soul out of her body. It felt like she fell on the feet of a grim reaper and now she had no other option than to surrender her life to him in every possible way. Snapping back into reality, she attempted to hurriedly get up on her feet. Nina pressed her palms against the floor to stand up but as soon as she did it, her wounded palm ached which made her hiss. Ignoring it, she tried to get in a hurry but again her heels slipped on the cake which made her grab his coat to support her own balance. But her eyes widened in shock when she noticed not only his shoes and pants, but now she ruined his coat too as her hands were covered in cake and she uses them to hold his coat. She was so gone now. “I am sorry. I…. I am so sorry, sir,” Nina apologised. She panicked and tried to clean his coat with her hands but it resulted in more destruction. She stained his dark black coat with that
“What the fuck, Ni? You slapped Rican Alfanso on your very first encounter?” Rachael uttered with her extremely widened eyes. When Nina was returning back from the hotel, Rachael called Nina to know how her work was going on in N.R…Alfanso but there Nina told her what had happened in the hotel and hearing about it, Rachael immediately reached Nina's home to meet her and in her home, once again Nina described everything that had happened in N.R…Alfanso to Rachael and this time in more details. Nina rolled her eyes, seeing Racheal's widened eyes and continued massaging her feet which were hurting badly after the countless times she tripped with those pathetic and good for nothing heels and why wouldn't those heels hurt her, especially when the real possessor of them had done nothing except for insulting her and on above, in front of so many people. “Here goes my beautiful dream of becoming your mother-in-law, Ni,” Rachael faked a cry which made Nina scowl. She punched Racheal's shoulde
“Mrs Karren?” Nina spoke, startled, seeing her landlady in front of her. In all of this mess, she completely forgot about this headache of hers. Nina saw her landlady sending her a dispising glare before she pushed Nina's arm away to let herself step inside the door. Nina scowled while glaring at her back because that woman had no manners or etiquettes. Whenever she came here, she didn't leave a single chance to make Nina remember that this house belonged to her. “So, Ms. Halzel, where is my rent?” Mrs Karren asked her with no courtesy or politeness. Nina sighed. She had not given her the rent of the previous month and her landlady had already visited her almost more than ten times to get her rent from her. “Mrs Karren, I will give it to you just give….” “I don't have any time for your same lame excuses, Ms. Halzen, of getting fired from your job because that's not my headache to take,” her landlady shut her up. “I have given you my house to live in, so I need my rent for it and
“Welcome to your new home,” Nina heard Cain telling her after opening the door of his apartment for her. Soon after packing her stuff, he told her to move in with him without waiting for the next morning. Nina felt hesitant but reluctantly she agreed to his decision and came here to his apartment with him after leaving her own home ... .at least that was what she had been believing as her home for the past six months. Nina stepped inside his apartment. It was not the first time she was coming here. He had taken her here a few times before too but she had always stayed in his apartment for not more than an hour but right now, she was going to stay here for full days and even nights which was terrifying her the most because she didn't know for how long she would have to stay here with him. Besides, no matter what Nina was not comfortable sharing her privacy with someone, especially with an opposite gender. Called her narrow minded or hypocrite, Cain was her boyfriend but Nina was still
“His name is Carl Abrot,” he heard his man telling him. His piercing brown eyes were fixed at the picture of that man in front of him.“And as per our sources, he lives around Dawn Blue College. He has been caught wandering around that college most of the time, especially during the nighttime,” he keenly heard every word of his man who was informing him about a man who had been suspecting keeping his eyes on them and their underworld business.“Our suspicion is not confirmed yet that he has been working for Gonzalezs or not,” “Keep your eyes on him and his every move,” he finally opened his mouth, staring at the picture of that man.“Okay and what about that girl, Nina Halzen?” He heard his man asking him suddenly and hearing that girl's name, his palm clenched on his own.“Should we keep our eyes on h…”“Forget about her,” he shut that man up, barely being able to hold his anger from bursting out at his man just because he dared to mention about that filth of a girl.Snapping his ga
After climbing the stairs, Nina reached the second floor of that huge mansion of Alfansos. She roamed her eyes everywhere around her and noticed there were more than half a dozen rooms on this floor and she had also forgotten to ask Mr Riccardo Alfanso about in which room she should be going. For a brief moment, she continued to stand there while thinking about where she should be heading to but suddenly she recalled that stain of pudding on her dress. She looked down and witnessed that pudding stain drying up on her favourite and one and only dress. Resisting thinking about anything else, Nina dashed inside the very first room she found on her way, without even trying to find out to whom it belonged. She entered that room and wandered her eyes everywhere in search of a bathroom and in that process, she noticed something off about this room and she herself didn't know why and what. Probably because she didn't like the vintage and cool tone colours of this room. It was giving her s
“Let alone thinking about fucking touching you, Nina Halzen,” Nina heard him snarling at her. His choice of words for her enraged her. What the fuck he thought of her? And how fucking dared he talked to her like this after everything,? “Glad to know that we have the same thoughts regarding each other,” she spat at him, glaring upward at his burning gaze. The shower water was splashing down on both of their bodies but it did nothing to calm that anger building up inside them for each other. “And about stripping myself naked for a man like you then don't worry about it. My days haven't turned so bad that I would have to remove my clothes for a man almost twice my age, Mr Devil Alfanso,” she seethed out at him. He flared his nostrils, processing the meaning behind her words. Her audacious nature and filthy big mouth were getting under his skin and in the worst possible way because he had never let anyone talk to him like this ever, except for that one specific person whom he had lost 7
