WILLIAM’S POV
The moment Princess Alaana stepped into the aisle, her scent hit me—a mix of wild jasmine and forest scents. It was intoxicating, overwhelming, and unmistakable.
My wolf stirred violently. Mate!.
I frozed, my heart beating in disbelief. This should be a mistake. Omega, the lowest rank in the hierarchy, I'm invisible and unimportant in the pack and I'm also a slave. Princess Alaana was the daughter of Alpha King Draven Blackthorn, who was born in power and is great. The thought of me being her Mate was ridiculous. Yet my wolf makes the situation difficult for me, as he stirs around my head trying to claim her.
I held my breath, unable to breath as she was approaching the altar. My breath was uneven. This cannot be real. Why now? Why does she have to be my Mate?
In the altar, Rylan smiled with confidence, his tall and proud position. He contacted Alaana as she was approaching, but she hesitated, and her eyes faded with something that no one else noticed. My wolf growled softly, sensing her unease, but forced himself to silence.
The priest started the ceremony. "We gathered here today to unite Alaana Blackthorn and Rylan Grey, in the Holy Marriage. Are you, Alaana Blackthorn, take Rylan Grey to be your companion and your husband?"
Silence fell over the room. All eyes turned into Alaana, who was lost in thought , her hands trembling on both sides.
Then it happened.
"Stop this wedding!" Alaana's sound, sharp and clear, cuts through the tension like a blade.
Gasps erupted from the crowd, and a shock of ripples across the room like the tidal wave. Rylan's face twisted in confusion and anger, his hands clenched into fists. The Alpha King, seated at the front, rose to his feet, his expression dark and thunderous.
"Alaana!"he shouted, his voice laced with authority. “What is the meaning of this?”
But Alaana didn’t back down. She turned to face the crowd, her chin raised and her voice steady. “I can’t marry him. I won’t.”
My heart raced as her eyes scanned the room—and then she focused on me. Time seemed to stand still. Her gaze grew softer, recognition flashing in her golden eyes. My wolf howled in response, and my entire body tensed.
Rylan followed her line of vision, his face twisting in anger as he realized who she was looking at. “Him?” he spat, his voice dripping with venom. “Omega servant? Are you telling me you’re rejecting me for him?”
The crowd erupted in murmurs, disbelief and anger filling the hall. I wanted to sink to the ground, my mind spinning. This couldn’t be happening. I don't belong here, and I don't deserve this attention.
I stumbled back, my heart pounding. I clenched my fists, trying to suppress the overwhelming emotions coursing through me: disbelief, guilt, and aching desire. How could the Moon Goddess be so cruel as to allow a lowly omega like me,to marry the daughter of the most powerful Alpha in the kingdom?
The Alpha King voice rose above the noise, silencing everyone. “Alaana, explain yourself! This isn’t a game.”
Alaana shrugged, her voice steady. “I’ve been looking for my mate for years, Father. Today, I found my Mate.”
A deathly silence filled the hall. I felt that all eyes were on me, the weight of their whispering and judgment suffocating. I wanted to deny it, to run, but my wolf wouldn’t let me, the bond was so strong. Alaana’s declaration was sealing my fate.
There was an expression on the Alpha King face: anger, disgust, and a slightly disgusted look. “Alaana, you understand what you’re talking about. This alliance was intended to secure our pack. How will an Omega Servant be your Mate?”
My throat tightened. The Alpha King words were bold and defiant, and they only strengthened the disbelief of those around me. I couldn’t understand why the moon Goddess chose someone, like her, as my Mate.
Rylan yelled, his eyes flashing with anger. His sharp green eyes narrowed as they locked on mine, and spat in a low, venomous voice, "You, a mere Omega servant, be Alaana Mate, how is that possible”.
I moved forward, bowing my head. “I didn’t ask to be princess Alaana Mate,” I stammered. “I don’t want to cause trouble. I’ll leave if that’s what you want.”
Rylan's laughter was cold and humorless. He took a step closer, his presence suffocating. “Leave? You think you can be her Mate? with your pathetic, weak existence.”
I flinched at his words but didn't answer. I knew better than to argue with someone like Rylan.I was truly weak, I'm just an omega servant, and also an orphan. Why will the moon goddess be so cruel to me, knowing fully well that the pack will never accept me.
“You don’t even have to ask,” Rylan continued. “You will have to reject the bond or I’ll make sure your life is hell.” He leaned closer, his voice a dangerous whisper. “And if you ever think about challenging me, remember this: I’ve fought wolves stronger than you. You won’t last a second.”
With that, Rylan turned and left the room, leaving me, my heart pounding in my chest.
Princess Alaana turned her gaze towards me. Her disappointment was written plainly across her face, her lips pressed into a thin line and her blue eyes brimming with anger and disbelief.
Princess Alaana, frowned and said. “You can't be my Mate ,” she admitted in a voice filled with frustration. “How could the Moon Goddess Mate me to someone like you?”
The pain in my chest was unbearable, a dull, throbbing ache that gnawed at my very soul. I placed a trembling hand over my chest, as if trying to quench the bond that burned there—a bond that should have been a blessing but now felt like a curse.
“This can’t be happening,” she muttered under her breath. Her voice rose as she turned to her father. The Alpha King “Father, this must be wrong. The Moon Goddess won’t…make him my Mate!”
“He can't be my Mate,”she said, her voice shaking.
Without waiting for her father's response, Alaana turned on her heel and stormed out of the hall. Her long dress dragged behind her as she pushed away the gathered members, her head held high despite the storm of emotions that was raging inside her.
The room erupted in whispers and shouts, but Alpha King silenced them with a raised hand. He leaned forward, his golden eyes glowing with a mixture of disbelief and disdain.
“Omega,” he said in a disgusted voice. “Did the Moon Goddess pair my daughter, my heir, to an Omega servant?”
Unable to look up, my heart was pounding in my chest. I felt the weight of Alpha King frustration, an overwhelming force that made him feel less than he had ever felt before.
"This must be a mistake," Alpha King continued, his voice much colder now. "The Moon Goddess would not insult this pack with such a weak Omega.”
Alpha King slammed his fist on the back of his throne, the sound echoing through the hall. “This is unacceptable! My daughter cannot be Mated to someone like you. You are a servant, nothing more. Do you understand what this means for the pack? For our future?”
I felt bad about that, but I was silent. What will I say? I didn't ask for this. The moon goddess chose me—Me, of all wolves—to be her Mate. But now, the truth feels like a curse.
“You will have to Reject her”. Alpha King said, “my daughter cannot be your Mate. She has a duty as the next Luna of this Pack, to her people. Having a Mate like you will weaken her position, and destroy the Pack.
ALAANA'S POVI was in my room,my arms folded, staring out into the forest. My mind was a storm of anger, confusion, and disbelief. The Mate bond pulsed faintly in my chest, a constant reminder of the cruel twist that had bound me to him, Omega Servant. The lowest of the low.I had always dreamed of a Mate, a strong and powerful Mate, I had imagined having a Mate, who's stronger than my father. A Mate, who could command the respect of the entire Pack. But this? This was a nightmare. Why? Would the Moon Goddess do this to me?, after waiting for my Mate for long, only to be Mated to an Omega.A gentle knock on the door pulled me from my thoughts, making me startled.”Yes come in.”A maid entered, bowing slightly as she stepped inside, with a polite smile, she said “Alpha king, request for your presence princess.”I nodded and slowly followed her to my father's chambers.Reaching my father's chambers, I slowly opened the wooden door.Air thickened by his presence. ALAANA'S POV Alaana…” Rylan’s voice was low and shaky, his anger barely holding back. “What is the meaning of this?”William jolted awake at the sound of Rylan's voice, eyes wide in shock. He stood up, his hands trembling as he realized the gravity of the situation. His position as an Omega Servant meant that even if he was in my room, he could be severely punished.I stood up and then sat down again, despite the storm of emotions raging inside me. “Rylan, I…”Rylan interrupted, stepping in. "You were supposed to be my future Luna! And I find you here—with him?”William flinched at the venom in Rylan's voice, his eyes falling to the floor as if he could make himself invisible."Do you even understand what you've done? You humiliated me, Alaana. You humiliated yourself. And you have also put him in trouble," he pointed sharply at William, "in danger.”Williams shuddered, but didn't say a word. He did not dare. His heart pounded, I reached back and touched William's arm, calmly encoura
OMEGA'S POV I sat on the cold floor of my small apartment, my body leaning against the wooden wall,.Lost in thought, thinking about what transpired between Princess Alaana and I. Although I enjoyed the sex, knowing fully well that I was going to be in trouble and I would surely be punished.I couldn't control myself the Mate bond was too strong. Then I heard heavy footsteps and it was Rylan. Anger was written all over his face. Fear gripped me. “You made a huge mistake, do you think sleeping with Alaana will make you the next Alpha King?Do you think you can challenge me and go with it?” I looked up and glared at Rylan.” I’m not challenging you, Rylan. The bond between us isn’t something I chose. It is the will of the moon goddess and it is something you cannot break,no matter how hard you try.” I said, with fear written all over my face. Rylan grabbed my collar and pulled me close to him. His voice dropped to a dangerous whisper. ”You’re wrong. I can break it. I'll see you ruine
WILLIAMS POVI walked out of Alpha Draven chamber, my breath hitching as fear gripped my chest. My hands trembled at my side, my body stiffened by Alpha Draven brutal command."Reject my daughter or you will die."The words rang through my mind like a death sentence, each word filled with Alpha Draven power and anger. Under the weight of danger I barely managed, my Wolf growled inside me, but now, as I hurried through the dark corridors of the house, all I could think of was her—my Mate.Alpha Draven daughter. How did it happen? Fate had bound me, an ordinary Omega servant, to the daughter of the strongest Alpha Draven. The same daughter whose name I spoke with reverence, whose presence I now respected, whose touch—oh, her touch—instilled something within me that I could never let go of.When I reached the small servants' room, my legs were about to wear out, and my heart was pounding under the weight of which decision I should make.I have to reject her. ALAANA’S POVI returned to my room.My breath hitched, and my hands trembled as I grapped the doorknob and opened it. The golden light of the lanterns shone off the stone walls, casting shadows that reflected the chaos within me.I leaned against the door, as if trying to lock the chaos in my mind. My fingers pressed against the cold wood, and my lips trembled from the moment that was about to happen until he stopped me.Williams.The Omega servant. My Mate.A desperate, frustrated growl escaped my throat,I backed away from the door, pacing across the room. My Wolf snarled, anxious and dissatisfied. It hurt, how my heart ached for him, how my soul knew and wanted him. Yet, he refused me.I stopped in front of the mirror, my image a portrait of untamed emotion. My dark hair was disheveled and my golden glow faintly with the remnants of lust in my Wolf's desire.I pressed a trembling hand to my chest, feeling my heartbeat. Why couldn’t I control myself?I was never the kind of woman who l
ALAANA'S POVI took a deep breath, for a while, embracing myself for what was to come. My heart pounded, not with fear, but with determination.I stepped out of my room immediately. Rylan left. As I walked towards my father's chamber. The grand stone of Alpha Draven chamber loomed around me, reminding me of how powerful my father is.But tonight, I wasn't here as his daughter. I'm here to fight for my Mate.My father's chamber was dimly lit, a huge fireplace casting flickering shadows across the stone wall. At the far end of the room, my father stood beside a large wooden desk, studying a map. He was a man of insight, and his presence alone was enough to make the strongest Wolves bow their heads. My father didn't immediately look back, even though he knew when I entered.“Dad,” I said, my voice strained.Slowly, My father turned, his eyes locked on mine. “Alaana.” His voice was scary. “I believe you’re here to accept the Rejection.”"No."A muscle tightened from his back, but he remained
WILLIAM’S POVI frozed. My chest tightened."What?"She clenched her fist, her hand tense and desperate. “My father won't wait for me to Reject you. He might be planning something. Princess Alaana, can you hear yourself? You’re an Alpha daughter! You have everything, the power, the future here. I have nothing. You can't throw everything away just because of me.”Her face darkened. “You think I care about all that stuff?”“You should be, my Princess!” My voice cracked. “If we run, we will be homeless, Princess Alaana. We will be hunted. Do you know what happens to wolves that don’t have a Pack?”She frowned. “I’d rather be homeless with you than getting Mated to another man.”My breath hitched.“You can't understand,” I said. She wrapped her arms around me, pressing her hand over my chest. “Then you sh
ALAANA POV I stood in the middle of my room, my hands on the wooden box. My fingers trembled in fear as I carefully folded my clothes, my mind racing with the thought of escaping. I had packed the necessary things I needed, a bag of some food, a bottle of water, but I knew it wouldn't be enough. I had to move faster and think smarter. I couldn't afford to make a mistake. There was a sound. My body stiffened. I walked toward the door, my heart pounding. For a moment, I thought it might be Elara, my maid. Maybe she'd heard about the latest abuse somewhere and had come to me first. But that sound shattered my confidence.“My lady,” a deep, calm voice came from the hallway.I took a deep breath and pressed my palm to my throbbing chest. It wasn’t Elara. It was my father’s personal servant, Dave. Unlike Williams, he was a man of status and privilege in the Pack despite being a servant.I hesitated, curling my fingers. Dave never comes to my room unless it is something urgent.I walked to
ALAANA POV I sat on the edge of my bed, my chest pounding so hard that i could ear it.The weight of my father's decree suffocated me.Tears filled my eyes as I imagined Williams on the battlefield. He was gentle and kind, dedicated to serving the Pack, not fighting. What he handled were mostly trays of food, not swords. How could he survive?I can recall how scared he was, the last time i looked into his eyes "Don't worry, Princess Alaana," he muttered, wiping away my tears with a shaky hand. "I'll get back to you.”But he was lying. I could see it in his eyes. He knew, as I did, that he wouldn't return.I placed my hand on my chest, where the Mate bond burned with uneasy agony. I could still feel him, distant, faint, but alive. It was the only thing that kept me from not falling apart completely. But how long will it last?I gritted my teeth. If my father would allow me to fight, I would have gone with him. I would protect him, fight alongside him. But my father will never agree.
WILLIAM POV I sat on a wooden bench outside the servant quarter, looking down at the dark path below my feet. I was overwhelmed by fear and doubt. War. It loomed over me like a dark cloud of dust.Swallowing hard, I placed both my hands on my head. I'm not a warrior. I have never trained or been to a battle ground before nor have I ever held a sword in my life.I let out a nervous breath. It wasn’t just the fear of death that tormented me, but knowing fully well that I have no chance of coming back alive. The warriors have undergone a series of training and have gone to war countless times, they were being trained from a young age and have a strong Wolf unlike me.Even the youngest warrior was stronger than me. How do I fight the enemy? Is it by waving the sword and seeking for mercy, not to be beheaded? The thought of dying on the battlefield, my body left among the dead soldiers, sent shivers down my spine. I rubbed my hair in frustration. Was there any way? Is there any way to retu
WILLIAM POV I stood in the servants' quarters, holding the rough fabric of my bag tightly. Mychect beating against my ribs, each beat reminding me of what I was about to do. Leave. Escape. Flee with Princess Alaana before her father,Alpha Draven tore us apart. I gathered only a few things because I own nothing except from the baggy jeans and sweatpants I put on. I also take a bottle of water and a loaf of bread I stole earlier from the kitchen I walked to the hallway gently, barely hearing my footsteps. I was careful while walking to avoid the patrolling warriors from suspecting me because of the bag I was with. She should have been here. Princess Alaana had promised to meet me in my chambers once she had assured the safe access. But when I slipped through the narrow servants' tunnel into her room, I found it empty. She wasn't there. Her box was on her bed and the window was still open. Something was wrong. I breathed hard trying not to be nervous, I had to find her. I
