3: Did I Just See An Angel?

"Hey, who is that guy? Do you really know him?" Risa asks with curiosity once they were a bit far from the place they met the cold ice guy. As far as she knows, Xue Mei never had any friends outside of their province. Wait, this school is full of all hot guys, and most of the students here are from a wealthy family, so there's no way Xue Mei knows him.

"Eh, no...I don't know him. It's my first time I saw him too." Xue Mei shakes her head, but what bothering her is.. what's with that memory? Who is that woman? Why was she so sad? Why her heart squeeze like that? It's like she has a memory that she couldn't remember at all.

"Erm...Damn! Now where the hell are we?" Risa looks around them. Trying to find someone to ask direction.

"Ah! There! That sister over there looks like a senior." She points her finger in one direction. Xue Mei squinted her eyes a bit. Try to look at the 'sister' Risa said.

"Let's ask her." She pulled Risa's hand and went in that direction once she spots who the girl Risa said earlier.

"Uh, excuse me, sister. Do you know where is Fine Art female student's dormitory?" Xue Mei asks politely.

Looked up at two girls in front of her, the woman smiles and shows them to the right side of the garden. "Follow this path. You'll see the building."

Upon seeing the face of the senior sister, both of them were stunned a moment. Their lips part a little.

Seeing their reaction, the woman scrunches her eyebrow for a moment before her boyfriend calls her name.

"Princess, time to go home."

Risa and Xue Mei turn to look at the voice. Again, they were stunned. Almost drooling looking at the man standing not far from them.

Put her book inside the bag; Athena, a final year student, smile at both of them before she went to her boyfriend. "I'll go first." She softly speaks before leaving them.

"Sorry I have to make you wait. Wanna eat at your favorite stall, princess?" Zayne, her boyfriend, asks gently while smiling at her. He helps to carry Athena's bag.

Nodded, they left both of them in the middle of the garden.

"Did I just see an angel?" Risa slaps her face trying to make sure she's not dreaming.

Xue Mei closes her mouth and pinches Risa's arm. "Does it hurt?"

"Ouch!" Risa slap Xue Mei's hand.

"Right! So we're not dreaming. She is indeed a gorgeous woman I've met so far." Xue Mei turns to look at Risa.

"And did you see her boyfriend? So gentleman and handsome too. But he looks a bit older than her. Perhaps he is a lecturer on this campus? Did you hear how he call her princess? Oh~ I want a boyfriend like him.." Risa leaned to Xue Mei with her hand on her forehead. Pretending to faint because of the sweetness they saw between the couple.

"There's plenty of hot guys in here. Pick whatever you like." Xue Mei rolled her eyes a bit before pushing Risa from leaning on her, and she continues again.

"Eh, she shows this way, right?" Xue Mei turns to the right. There are a pathway and signboard too not far from their standing.

She looks at the signage and snaps the map picture on the board using his phone camera. "Okay, now let's go."

Arriving at the house-like dormitory, she smiles. The dormitory looks so beautiful with a garden gate, and the house looks so much like a fairy tale house with a Redstone brick wall and wooden window frame.

"Oh my god! I feel like we are living in a fantasy." Risa jumps happily.

This dormitory is for a female student in the Fine Art department only. It's a bit far from other's dormitory with a different course.

Next to the female dormitory, there's a building for the male dormitory. The building is a bit modern and high, with three floors. There's an open swimming pool for female and male students behind the dorm to use and relax during their weekends and holiday.

The female student is not as many as the male student. Thus, the female dormitory is only two-story floors with a great design like a medium-size mansion. There only have fifteen bedrooms with one person in each room.

Unlike the Acting, Singing, and Dancing department, they had many students, both female, and male. The musical instrumental course also had quite some students each year.

Inhaling, both of them went inside the house.

Pop! Pop!

All of the girls inside the house popped the party poppers and said in sync. "Welcome, newcomers!"

Risa and Xue Mei were shocked a bit, and then both of them smiling at their senior.

"Thank you." 

"Why did you two late?" One of the girls asks after looking at her watch. The two of them indeed make them waiting for more than fifteen minutes.

"Err..we got lost during our way here." Xue Mei tries to explain. She hopes that they didn't get mad like how others get mad at them before.

"Oh.. is that so? Come on, I introduce you two with your seniors." One of the girls, who look like the head of the girl dormitory, says and faces other girls in the hall.

"Eh, aren't we waiting for other newcomers too?"

"Nope, this year, only you two girls who made it here." She turns to Xue Mei and Risa.

"Really?" Risa asks.

"Mhm... Fine Art course is not suitable for the rich family. Most of them pursue business study or management. So, basically say, only a delinquent or rebellious child from the richest family pursue studying at Art Universities. Even though there are still students who pursue what they like here."

Risa looks at Xue Mei; they both look at each other. Feel like they want to cry and laugh at the same time. Cry because they pick a course that might be wasteful for their future and laugh because of how stupid they are to waste money on costly fees for this university.

"Ah~ don't worry. Most of us like what we do...Here we can study freely and have a lot of time to play around." the senior chuckles a bit, seeing their expression.

"So, back to where we are just now. My name is Luo Hui, that is Nora, and she is..."She starts to introduce both of them to all the occupants.

After 5 minutes of introducing the members of the dormitory, she turns to both of them again. "So, it's your turn to introduce yourself to us now."

Cleared her throat a little, Risa starts first. "My name is Igarashi Risa. I am the daughter of Igarashi Kenji. I was raised in Calestical City along with Xue Mei. We were best buddies from childhood." She hugged Xue Mei's shoulder.

"Oh..so you are the only daughter from a large international group from Japan, right? I think I've heard of your family name." One of them asks.

"My father is one of your family business partners too. I guess."

"So what about you?" Luo Hui turns to look at Xue Mei. Still, with her smile on her face.

"Oh, I am Shen Xue Mei. I from Celestical City and I just an ordinary person unlike you all. And yeah, I've been friends with Risa since we were kids. And she's the only one I know in this big city. Nice to meet you all."

"Oh? So what your family does?"

"Hm, my mom worked as a nurse while my father is a salaryman."

"Oh. Very ordinary." One of the girls said.

"Okay, that's it, girls... Thanks for participating in this introduction despite your busy schedule." Luo Hui clapped her hand and looked at all the other girls with a smile.

"No problem, Luo."

"Yeah, see ya around, girls."

Risa and Xue Mei wave their hands to the other girls before Luo Hui said again, "Come on, I show you both to your room." She stood up from the couch and led them to the second floor.

"This room is for Risa." She opens the door. Her room is a bit spacious, and she then led Xue Mei to the second room from the corridor. "And this is your room. All of your belonging and pet were transferred here by Risa's butler yesterday."

"Thanks." Xue Mei said after open the door room. The room is a little smaller than Risa, but still comfortable enough for her alone.

"Oh, by the way, you should get ready for the test tonight." Luo Hui smiles a bit.

"Test?" Scrunched her eyebrow a bit, Xue Mei turn to her senior again.

"Yeah, every newcomer needs to do this test. Every year test is different."

"Oh...okay."

"Alright, see ya~" Luo Hui wave her hand and walk back to the hall.

After closing the door, Xue Mei flumps her body on the bed. Tired.

Meow! Meow!

"Oh baby Elle, are you hungry?" She opens her eyes and picks up her cat, which is rounded like a ball, and her fur is so smooth. She put her cat onto her chest and play with her paws.

Elle is licking Xue Mei's face like she was missing her so much.

"Okay, Okay... I get it." She opens her medium-sized box that is still in the middle of the room and takes out the cat's kibbles plate and bowl.

Place at the corner of the room, Xue Mei pours the kibbles onto the plate and pour mineral water into her bowl.

"Eat now, Elle. I need to sleep for a while." She caresses her cat before she went back to her bed and starts to doze off.
