CHAPTER 22

Athena's POV

The night stretched on endlessly. Sleep evaded me, and I lay awake, staring at the ceiling as the minutes turned into hours. I kept checking my phone, hoping for a reply from Justin, but nothing came. The silence was deafening, and each passing moment felt like an eternity.

By the time the first light of dawn peeked through my window, I knew I had to pull myself together. I had a class to attend and an internship to manage. No matter how heavy my heart felt, I couldn't afford to be irresponsible. With a sigh, I got out of bed and began my morning routine, the motions feeling mechanical and devoid of energy.

"All is well..."- I said trying to calm myself I front of the mirror.
