Jake

I watched Zelda walk in with a smile on her face. She smiled so brightly like she wasn’t affected by the problems of the world. She didn’t look like someone that had been insulted earlier today. Her clothes were different from what she was wearing earlier.

Did she change her clothes? How?

Zelda never takes extra clothes to the store. She doesn’t like to do that. So, how did she get new clothes?

Was that why she arrived so late? Did she go shopping for new clothes? But why is she with this arrogant man? Didn’t he say that he is her boss? Why is she here in their house?

“Zelda,” I called her, just so she’d notice my presence.

“Hi Jake,” She replied with a smile.

Seeing her right now, she didn’t look like she had any grudge against me. She was unfazed by my presence. She wasn’t affected at all. If Zelda doesn’t mind my action, why did Cindy say she did? Why did Cindy say that Zelda refused to take her orders because she pissed that I dumped her?

Did Cindy lie to me? Or is Zelda putt

ZeldaIt felt like my heart was tearing apart as I saw my mom kissing Drake, I gulped down the jealousy and looked away immediately. I sighed and turned my attention to Jake. "We should go," I said and Jake gave me a skeptical look, I noticed he had his eyes on me and must have noticed. The way I looked at Drake and my mother kissing didn’t go unnoticed. We started walking out of the house and I saw how worried my mother was, she followed us out of the house and stood by the car “Are you sure you don’t want me to follow you?” she asked worriedly “Don’t bother Maddy, we will be fine” Drake said, and my mother nodded even though she didn’t buy his words. We went inside the car, the guards sitting at each edge of the back seat while Drake, and I was in the middle, Jake was sitting in the front and I could see him glancing at me through the rear mirror. I looked away, resting my head in the car seat, I squeezed my eyes shut, and I couldn’t wait to be done with this and go back to my h

DrakeLucas Wayne! My dearest fucking uncle sat on the shamble he calls a throne, his eyes darted around, and they settled on Zelda, his looks were demeaning, and I fisted my hand angrily, barely holding myself from throwing a punch at him. “An urgent matter was reported to me, regarding you and your boss," he said, and I arched my brows at him. Our gaze met, and I wondered if he could see through my facade, but the way he looked at me proved he hadn’t suspected anything, which was good. “My son was harassed and Cindy was forced to mop the floor when you are fully at fault for not attending to her properly, instead of your boss apologizing, he went ahead and picked a fight with the future alpha of this pack who is meant to be respected!” Lucas said and hit his hand angrily at his throne. “Al…alpha” Zelda stuttered and I stepped forward. “Zelda and I are not meant to be blamed for what happened,” I said quickly, and all eyes fell on me. “What do you mean by that? Why did the alpha summon both of you?” My mother asked, and my gaze fell on Drake who was now quiet.“We shouldn’t talk about this right now Mom,” I said, and she snorted moving closer to me, her eyes darted between me and Drake, before settling her gaze on me again. “We are going to talk about this right now, I need to know what’s going on. So tell me, why did the alpha summon both of you?” She insisted and Drake stepped closer. “Maddy…” my mother cut him short by raising her hand. “I don’t want to listen to any excuses, I want to know what’s going on,” my mothe

Zelda"Who could it be at this hour?"I wondered and chose to lay down, hoping Drake or my Mother would get the door but they didn't. The doorbell rang continuously. I was irritated. I hissed loudly and lazily got out of bed to open the door. To my surprise, I found Joshua and Arnold at the door. The door was wide open and they were standing with their attention set on someone standing before them. I was about to ask what they wanted when I saw Alpha Lucas. He was standing with his back turned to me but it became clear that Joshua and Arnold were here with him. What is he doing here?Did he come here to punish us? He already decided to let things be, so why would he come here at this hour?I went closer, making sure I was walking on tiptoe as I approached them. Drake was standing in front of the Alpha confidently. He passed an envelope to the Alpha who looked stupefied as he opened the envelope. "How did you....."The Alpha was about to speak when he noticed me. He paused and s

I asked immediately to lighten up the atmosphere."That jerk. I can't believe he still has the face to come here." She hissed. "I think Zelda needs to rest. She looks tired." Drake said, his eyes fixed on me. He is my mate after all. He could probably feel my exhaustion. "Yes Mom, I need to rest." I sighed in relief. "Alright dear, goodnight." She kissed my cheek. "Goodnight Mom," I hurried off before she noticed something else. The next morning, I woke up feeling better and light. I went straight to the bathroom and took a quick bath. CindyI paced around the room, my anger bubbling over. “How could the Alpha not punish Zelda and her boss?” I muttered to myself, my voice filled with frustration. It wasn't fair that they had gotten away with their behaviour. On top of everything else, I was mad at Zelda's boss for twisting the whole story and beating me at my own game. I knew that he had lied to the Alpha, and I couldn't believe that he had gotten away with it. I knew that the Alpha was a just leader, and I trusted his judgment, but I couldn't help but feel angry at the entire situation. I was struggling to find a way to let go of my anger and move on.I couldn't help but think that Zelda must be happy right now. She had humiliated me in front of the entire store and in front of the Alpha. I was certain that she must be feeling triumphant, and it made me even angrier. Angry at the turn of events, I must commend that Zelda’s boss is smart and knows how to talk himself from trouble. My ego was hurt, and I had to try to stop myself from going to Zelda’s home and punching him in the face. “How can the alpha let him go, he should have punished him,” Cindy said, and I tilted my head to look at her. “And you will be punished too, Father was only considering that and decided to let you be” I replied and Cindy snorted.I squeezed my eyes closed and Cindy was busy nagging, I was tired of hearing her voice and I stood up from the bed.“Where are you going?” she asked, and I sighed, turning to look at her “I’m going out for a walk” I replied to her and she wrapped her hand beneath her chest, which made her breasts push up a bit. “We should think about how to humiliate Zelda and her boss, this is not the time to go out for a walk,” Cindy said, and I arched my

DrakeThree years later.I stood at the grave, my hands clutching the flowers I had brought. My kids stood beside me, their eyes fixed on the stone before them. I took a deep breath, clearing my throat. “Owen looks exactly like you,” I said, my voice quivering. “I know you're not here, but occasionally I believe you are.” I paused, my eyes hard as I looked at my kids. “He's as strong as you are. He's selfless, just like you. You would have loved him.” The words hung in the air, heavy with emotion.“Sometimes it's difficult to believe that you're not here with us, that I won't ever hear your voice again or feel your touch. Sometimes I think it's all a nightmare, that I'll wake up and everything will be like it was before. But I never do. The truth is, life without you is hard. I find it hard to trust anyone, to open up to anyone. “My kids ran off, giggling as they chased each other through the grass. I got up to follow them, making sure they didn't go too far. I was afraid of the answer. “The doctor had asked that we give you some space,” he said. I nodded, my mind racing. He was staring at me with a strange look in his eyes, and I knew something was wrong. “What is it?” I asked, my heart in my throat. “Nothing,” he said, his voice monotone. I knew he was lying. We'd known each other for too long. He knew I could see right through him. I waited, the silence weighing on me like a heavy blanket. “Just tell me,” I said, my voice shaking. He let out a long sigh. “You're pregnant,” he said, his voice low and serious. My jaw dropped, and I looked down at my stomach. “I thought about what the
